We've used Mike three times in the past 5 years including work on my Land Rover, Hyundai, and Toyota. First, he is so pleasant and easy going, and explains things, which I appreciate since it is not my area of expertise. Second, he navigates insurance really well. He is not on our provider list, but we totally trust him, so we use him anyway. We just tell our insurance that he is our choice, and he communicates with insurance about everything after that to get the work covered. Finally, the best part is that he does beautiful work. Based on a recommendation of a friend, I visited Sentry earlier this year to talk about my classic stingray. I was able to chat with several people, including one of the few seasoned fiberglass experts in the area, and was given a general ballpark. Once serious and decided, I returned to hand over the car and get a more tuned quote and timeline. During the next 12 weeks, the car's awful fiberglass body was given much needed TLC. Mike was in constant contact over phone and text message, providing status updates, pictures, and timeline updates. I'm very very pleased with the results and the price. It was not cheap (between $5k and $10k), but other shops were quoting $15k+. The difference might be that the other shops were only wanting to do a perfect, concourse-level job, and I was able to inform Sentry that this was unnecessary for my use case. I highly recommend Sentry to anyone with a car they truly care about, be it classic or modern. You won't pay an exorbitant price and will get very good results. Sentry Body and Paint is the only place I would take my car or suggest friends and family to take their cars in the Atlanta area. The work that they do is amazing and the owner Mike is an incredibly knowledgeable and honest car body and paint specialist. I brought in my 2022 Soul Red Crystal Miata in after a fender bender involving a fender that needed replacement, and a bumper that needed repair. And of course both pieces required paint. The paint on this car is expensive and mike went out of his way to secure an amount of product that would get the car done, as well as fit into the estimate. There were also complications with the fender that came direct from Mazda, and they dealt with them again with no extra burden to me. I did not pay a penny more than the estimate, and the work is impeccable. I am very happy that I came to Sentry. read more

Please, please, please, support this auto body artist. I got into a collision on a Sunday, checked out Nextdoor, and saw many recommendations for Mike and another non-local shop. Mike was super responsive and communicative throughout the process. His estimates are fair and reasonable. Best part, his work is amazing!!! Granted, I drive a 2005 MDX and my rear passenger door was inoperable (couldn't get in/out, door handle was smashed into the door, and the door was semi-peeled back like the top of a can of tuna). When I got my car back, the new door looked better than the old prior to the accident! This was the best, least stressful, and most pleasant experience I've had under the circumstances. Sentry Body and Paint is wonderful. I had a deep scrape on my Hyundai Sonata's wheel well that's another shop quoted over $1000 and a week to fix. Sentry did the work perfectly for $340 in only 3 days. The building isn't pretty but from the high price cars they work on you know they do high quality work. When I went to get the estimate there were Jaguars, Porsches, and a Ferrari so I knew they would treat my Hyundai well. Mike Cottrell owns the place. He is friendly and honest. He has picked up my car in Virginia Highlands both times. Once was for a lease return - they did some small touch up and it was turned in with no extra fees. Sentry is AMAZING!!! Mike is AMAZING!!! Mike provided a great experience during a stressful time. My car was hit by an uninsured motorist and there was hole where my front passenger headlight used to be. The damage to my fender pushed against my tire making my car undrivable. When I got baby back from Mike she looked like a brand new car. My paint job looks amazing. My car doesn't look like it was ever in accident. Mike was so nice and accommodating during the whole repair proccess. He was more helpful than my claim adjuster, my rental car company and the insurance company. He always kept me informed of progress and when my car was ready he picked me up from the rental car company. Sentry has great prices.
