We had a group of 15 and one family member received cold soup. Then that SAME family member was totally forgotten about for dinner time. I'll never go here again. First off, the hostess was so nasty I felt like a conservative entering the set of The View. She made it seem like seating us on a Monday in her half empty restaurant was an honor for us. As a family of five (3 adult children), we rack up a considerable sized tab. We try and support all local businesses, especially during the summer of the plague, but we'll never go here again. The food was as memorable as a Happy Days spin-off. We came here once last summer and once this summer. I really like this place. We have tried steak, scallops, roasted oysters, calamari and shrimp cocktail. Everything was excellent, except the calamari. It was a little chewy and I couldn't really eat it. The service was excellent, very friendly. I love the outdoor dining area, it was shaded and comfortable. They were kind enough to make us virgin mojitos last summer, but they have a nice wine list. The menu clearly shows what is vegetarian and gluten free, which I appreciate. Overall, it's a great choice for a nice dinner! read more

Food was excellent. Wife and I both chose the Filet Mignon medium rare. The steaks were excellent, and the mashed potatoes were delicious. We didn't care for the vegetable that came with the meal, and the waitress was nice enough to offer us a different vegetable at no extra charge. Service was close to perfect, very friendly and they kept hustling the entire dinner. Outdoor dining was great, Covid rules appropriate and perfect for a romantic date night meal. The price paid for dinner was exactly what we paid at a similar restaurant near our home, which means we didn't pay extra for the fact that it was at the shore. Very impressed! Driving past the restaurant, I knew I wanted to try it out because the ambience was so beautiful. This was the first restaurant we've dined into since covid and we were very impressed. The staff was very cautious on who was bringing and removing plates. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. I made a reservation for 8pm, and when I showed up they said they had not received the call for the reservation. After showing them proof on my phone that I called the woman in front said "that sucks" and asked us to leave. This is restaurant has potential but only if they get their kitchen up to speed. The ambiance was nice but the kitchen is so slow. We stopped in at 5:45 on a Thursday evening to get some burgers. Our waitress was spacey but friendly enough. We placed our orders (three chesseburgers with fries) at 5:50 p.m. and they were delivered to our table at 6:35. Two of us ordered our burgers medium and one well done. All were well done. Dry and tasteless. The fries were good enough. I am not sure why the kitchen was so slow or off kilter but the place was not crowded--at least not outside in the garden area. We had high hopes for this place but it needs work. read more

I am only giving this place one star because of our waitress otherwise I would have given them no stars. She was the only thing good about our experience there. We had eaten here on Mother's Day weekend when they opened and the food was great and I was actually telling everyone how great the place was but that all changed last night. Normally I only write good reviews on yelp but I'm so upset about how bad our experience was that I had to write this. When we got there the bar area was packed and there were plenty of tables open in the outdoor area as well as the porch. Not many people waiting for tables. We were a party of 5. When they sat us the hostess brought us to the table right in front of the bar. There was literally a swarm of people surrounding the table and people were using our table to put their drinks on and leaning on the chairs. I said to the hostess "are you kidding me? This is where we are sitting?" There were plenty of other options for us even though we were 5 people. I told her that I don't want this table and can we sit in the table a little further away and she said " no , I can't sit you there because I have a large party coming and they are going to be sitting there". Meantime the other table sat 5 and my table sat 7. I told her I was not happy and she said "well let me know if you are sitting here because if not I will put you back on the waiting list" and walked away, she was so rude!! We sat down because my kids were insisting that we would be fine but my husband and I were so uncomfortable. We were completely enclosed with people surrounding us. I mean their butts were hitting my head and my husband had someone s elbow by his head. The waitress didn't even see us. When our waitress came over she was shocked as to how crowded we were at the table. She insisted that we couldn't sit there and She talked to the hostess and miraculously we were able to move to the other table a little further away. The hostess looked all pissy at us which I didn't appreciate. It still was near the bar and people were still standing around us but at least we weren't completely enclosed. Now the food. We started out with the burrata , crab hush puppies and soup. That was still decent. However our entrees were terrible! My husband ordered a $40 dollar rib eye steak medium rare and it came out completely well done. My daughter ordered scallops Normandy which came over a risotto with a Dijon cream that literally looked like someone squeezed mustard around her plate and the risotto was so bad when my husband tasted it he almost vomited at the table. The scallops were not good and had sand in them. I ordered salmon and it was not fully cooked and it was over gnocchi that was I guess fried in a pan that was so tough and chewy and tasted disgusting. My other daughter ordered mussels that had sand in them and were not good at all. Also The bathroom was filthy with toilet paper and tampon wrappers all over the floor and no paper towels to dry our hands . The bill was $240 and we didn't even get drinks! It was not worth one single penny. I will never go back there again and I will make sure I tell everyone how bad it is. read more

This place is great... if you wanna be deaf within the first two seconds of walking in. Enjoy a fine dining area with awful acoustics and screaming families. If you don't want to talk to anyone at the table, this is the place to come. Anyways, the waiter was nice but the wait wasn't! Although there were empty tables inside, my family of 5 had a 45 minute wait! What's up with that? However, I must say the food was pretty ok. It wasn't flavor blasting, but it also wasn't bad. All the food came out quick, but the water was a one hit wonder. Bursted eardrums and parched tongues? It's ok, you can cool off with the... cold soup. My closing statement: Good food, but doesn't match the price. $$$!! Ask for water, and maybe BYOP... Bring your own plugs for the noise! read more

This place is great. The mushroom flatbread is so yummy. Stopped in on a whim when walking around LBI solo a few weeks ago. So nice to see a place with a couple vegan options on the menu. That's really hard to find in a seaside resort town. The flatbread is my favorite thing, hands down, but looking forward to trying the ramen when the weather chills out. Menu's a tad pricey but I'd say it's worth it. The service is always great when I go. Elsie is, like, the nicest bartender ever. Definitely worth checking out. read more

We had a great dinner here tonight. Our server was very attentive, checking back with us at every turn. Our food was delicious - we shared the cheesesteak flatbread (YUM) and had the blackened salmon entree and buddha bowl with blackened salmon on top. Salmon was cooked perfectly, not overdone and all was seasoned well. The hostess was very sweet and hard working, moving all over the restaurant to seat customers and holding doors. Came to try the breakfast and ordered the avocado toast. It was the thinnest slice of grocery store toast with a hint of avocado schmear with thick slices of onion thrown together on top. Also tried the corned beef hash which was rubbery and chewy. Tried the pancakes before which were good. There's plenty of places on the island that have a much better breakfast. Sadly disappointed as it's a great spot for outdoor seating. Would love to see more actual breakfast options read more

First of all, we waited close to 2 hours for a table for 5 people. For the entire time we were waiting, there were 5-7 tables open that they refused to sit us at because they didn't want to "overwhelm the kitchen". Then, after waiting for those 2 hours, we were sat at an outside table and were freezing. We asked the hostess to check inside for a table we could sit at. She did not check and just told us that there was no open tables. After going inside to check, I saw 10 open tables. Eventually, we had to be rude to a different hostess and demand a table inside. The waitstaff brought their own food out. This establishment is extremely understaffed and a majority of the staff that they do have is incompetent and downright rude. Other than that, I had the chickpea ramen bowl and it was very good. If you don't mind dealing with nasty staff and waiting for a table in an empty restaurant, this place is for you! Overall, I will not be back. The food was good, but not good enough for me to eat here again and deal with the nasty staff. read more

Very nice space and location. We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening and it was pretty enjoyable, except the steel drum music lady was so loud, we couldn't talk (this was at 6:30 pm btw, so not a late night). The inside looked great too. Our server was very nice! But the food was just ok. Of course we know the island prices are what they are, but $29 for 4 scallops and some apple sauce is a bit much. No bread on the side, just a couple of tiny dry bread sticks (that strangely came with butter?). My husband did like his burger. Overall, nice place, maybe we would stick to just drinks next time. read more

We were put on a waitlist for a Saturday night because we had not reserved anything and were looking for somewhere good to eat. They quoted an hour but we ended up getting a text much sooner than that. The outdoor area is really awesome and we were able to bring our dog as well. Service was fast and the food was excellent. I only knock off 1 star because I think the cocktails were not up to par... I think they could use some updating/adjusting. A good choice for an adult dinner on LBI. Prices are good for an upscale menu. Service was excellent. We waited about 20 minutes and were seated in the covered outdoor section. Live music was a nice touch. We enjoyed both the lobster bisque as well as the Jersey chowder. Both 8 of 10s. My tuna was delicious and the plate accompaniments were perfect. It's definitely overpriced and doesn't even taste good, and I'm not particular or fussy with food. If I don't have to cook, I'm usually genuinely happy! Also, there is nothing to offer for kids.
