Ham and cheese omelet w/hash browns

A great hidden gem in Lewiston that brings great food to a historic landmark (re: Grand Trunk Station). The service is friendly and quick. They have the best hash browns and cook them perfectly when you ask for them to be crispy. On my recent visit I ordered a ham and cheese omelet - I could only eat about a quarter of it because it was so big! It was also well flavored and perfectly cooked. They have a big menu with some unique offerings (stuffed hash browns!). The pancakes are also great.

We went here last night and had the best meal! Server was extremely nice. There wasn't a thing we didn't like! Ordered the best fried clams in batter, Cajun shrimp, Cajun haddock Cobb salad, hamburg steak with smothered onions, ribs, and French onion soup. All of it was delicious!

    Inside-- cute decorations!

Once again, my food came as I went to the bathroom (isn't that how it always happens?) and I missed the opportunity to grab a picture because I was just too hungry! This is a fun little spot. It was nicely decorated, felt warm and welcoming, and our food came relatively quickly. I tried the station platter which came with two eggs, 3 strips of bacon (or 2 sausage patties,) choice of potato (I got hash browns), choice of biscuit with gravy or toast (I got the biscuit with gravy), and choice of pancake, french toast, or crepe! (Of course I got the crepe!) I was hungryyyy and ate this entire meal! I loved the options they had and that we were able to go in after noon and still get breakfast! They had a good selection for kids meals and lunch food as well. I had heard great things about this spot and was not disappointed. They also appeared to offer some specialty cocktails and coffees (think mimosas or Irish coffees) however I did not try one. I LOVED that they had tobasco hot sauce on all the tables along with syrup, creamer, jelly, ketchup, etc. so you don't have to wait and ask for it when your food comes! :) I will say, when we got there, we did end up having to wait probably 10-15 minutes for a table. There was a second door that people came into while we were still waiting and they pretty much welcomed themselves to a table before we were even sat which was a bit irritating but we got sat immediately after and I don't blame the staff for how things worked out! Will definitely be coming in again to try some more items!

I don't want to post this because I don't want to wait for breakfast on the weekends but I feel like I'm doing an injustice to Kathy if I don't. This is hands down my new favorite breakfast place in L/A. If I can give you one piece of advice: GET THE FROSTED FLAKE FRENCH TOAST. My life hasn't been the same since I had it. The sun shines brighter. The birds chirp louder. I feel like the rainbows touch down on the roof at Station Grill because it's a pot of gold. I failed miserably at taking pictures but I promise I will do better next time. They have such a cool menu, **stuffed hashbrowns!!** and chicken biscuits and Oreo pancakes! They also serve dinner, which is a nice classic menu. If you're like me- you remember going to your grandparents for dinner as a kid and you were like "oh good, beef stew again (womp womp)" but now as an adult you're like "heck ya I love beef stew, reminds me of Nanny + Grampa!" So it's a nice feeling to find a place that nails the classics.

There were plastic menus and dry erase markers at the counter and I decided to do the build your own bowl ($16 plus tax), marking my choices of ingredients including Choose Two Bases (green leaf & Thai rice noodles), Pick Four Toppings (tomato, roasted corn, sweet potato, kung pao veggies), Pick One Protein (vegan hoisin meatball), Pick One Crunchy Topping (crispy tortilla strips), and Pick One Dressing (jalapeno lime vinaigrette). My bowl was made to order after paying and handing over the marked up laminated menu and was ready to go 5 minutes later. My fusion bowl was very fresh and good flavors with a variety of tasty ingredients in the mix. Now that was a great fresh fusion bowl!

We started with a margarita - I got the spicy margarita and my wife got the special which was an orange cinnamon Margarita - she loved it and mine was excellent as well. Each was also a large serving - not in some tiny little glass for too much money as sometimes happens. We started with the buffalo roasted cauliflower, and we loved it. Too many times this dish is ruined by heavy breading for the cauliflower or having it be too oily and greasy. This one was lightly roasted and full of flavor served with a side of blue cheese dressing. Because it was happy hour (which is 4 to 630 on Thursday, Friday and Monday), we were able to order a two topping pizza for $17. The mushroom and ham topping was just right everything was cooked perfectly. We have our own Ooni Koda 16 pizza oven, and I make my own dough, so we're pretty particular about pizza. Everything about the pizza is just right though, sauce, toppings, and the bake in the pizza oven in the back. I'm definitely gonna be a regular here just for the pizza. We each got a glass of wine to have with the pizza, and my wife's white wine was pretty good, but my red had probably been open more than one or two days prior and wasn't especially great. I hope that the owners invest in a nitrogen in ear system of some sort - they're not expensive or hard to use. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and they helped us quickly get an order in before the end of happy hour which we appreciated. This is a fantastic and needed addition to the Kingfield / CV area

Unfortunately, the owner's behavior completely changed my opinion of this restaurant. She was rude, disrespectful, and showed no regard for customers, children, or the support of small-town businesses. The sandwich was an amazing surprise. I had the opportunity to try Mancinis a few weeks back with some friends and was unfortantely unable to attend. The food and bread here is delicious and that's why it's a five star. BUT I have qualms about the following: - My SOLE interaction with staff was one half shouting "Did you order ahead?" No "Hi", "Let us know if you need help", "Have you been here before if not you order on the screen", nothing. Literally the order was put on the counter with nothing said. Had to explain to the person behind us how to order. - A tip screen despite my being the cashier who ordered and customized my items and grabbed my own sides and got my own drinks and paid for it all at the kiosk. Sandwhich maker isn't a tipped job. Pay your employees more if they aren't making enough. - $3.25 for a bag of chips that run $1.25 retail and $4 for a Sanpellegrino is unhinged. Grab a soda and chips at the Citgo across the corner and save yourself the trouble. Two chips and two drinks was 2/3 the cost of the entire sandwhich.
