    Salmon taquitos

We were passing through town and had an early birthday dinner for my husband. The vibes are fantastic and the service was top notch. We had some of the best food we've ever had and we are both foodies. Highly recommend the salmon taquitos and any of their cocktails. Such a great date night venue.

This is such a cute space! I really enjoyed the decor in the restaurant. It's a nice mix between classy and comfort. So if you decide to dress down, you won't feel out of place. I ordered the pan-roasted chicken paired with the asparagus. The asparagus is very thick! I could only finish one piece. The chicken was overall juicy and cooked very well; it was a little bland seasoning-wise. I thought the potato Au Gratin tin was good as well, and I'm happy I upgraded from just the regular roasted. I ordered the white sangria, which was delicious and well mixed, but I will say drinks are on the sweeter side, for sure. Especially if you don't do the bourbon, it seems. I guess I should have since I was at "Steak & Bourbon". lol The bread was the star of the show! I love the candle in the middle and thought that was a cute touch; it was also delicious. The service was fantastic; everyone helped out, and my water glass never went empty. I think overall, it was a great experience, and I would like to come back and maybe sit in the bar area!

Mother's Day at Steak & Bourbon downtown was scrumptious! The atmosphere was festive. The staff friendly and efficient. Every special day their menu is extra special. Delicious! Convenient parking validated by S&B.

Visited on a work trip. The restaurant has a great ambiance and our service was great. Especially for a big group. We had spinach artichoke dip and shrimp for appetizers. Tasty! Our steaks were wonderful and the rolls were even better. Potatoes and asparagus didn't disappoint. Definitely recommend a visit for a special occasion.

The food was great and the service was excellent. However here is the part where this restaurant can DO BETTER..... with the high prices which is common at steak houses, are you really gonna charge $4 to have cream with your coffee when cream and sugar usually come with coffee? There was a $4 charge for cream/milk LOL! Are you really gonna charge for a refill on a club soda? Those extra charges are ridiculous!! Do Better!

It is modern style restaurant that has various styles of seating arrangement that can accommodate large or small groups. The food was delicious and service was great. I highly recommend you give them a try I. Downtown , Louisville !!

Great restaurant! We came by on a Friday night and got seats at the bar. The whole place was packed. There was a cello and singer in the bar, doing some jazz which was really nice. Service from the bartender was exceptional. We started with a round of drinks- a couple Giddy-Ups (their version of espresso martini- wow! Chicory pecan bitters!) , a bourbon ball martini (complete with bourbon ball garnish!) and a mojito. We were all catching up as friends when the bartender asked about food- we were not ready yet! We had a second round of cocktails- a couple of bourbon smashes, a Kentucky samurai and grey goose martini. I heard the branzino special was amazing- so I definitely ordered that. I also had the Brussels sprouts side which is drizzled with maple syrup and pecans (yum!) and I asked for a wedge salad. I was glad the bartender asked me if I wanted half a wedge, as I didn't realize that was an option. My friends had the ahi tuna salad and the steak salad. Both were huge. Complimentary bread came out, with a lit up butter and beef tallow candle. The bread was so good. My branzino had a roasted tomato and olive sauce. Thankfully the olives were whole and not chopped up like tapenade because I'm no really a fan of olive tapenade. The fish AND the sauce were delicious. It came served on a huge cutting board and was a very heavy plate, whole fish- head on, with broccolini on top of Parmesan polenta. There was also a side of mixed wilted greens with the fish. It was a huge portion ($65) and totally worth it. I packed half to go because I was full on salad and the orange creamsicle seasonal cheesecake was part of my plan! The cheesecake was delicious. I had 1.5 bites and the rest was demolished by friends. Hahaha. So good. We were visited by the owner and manager during our visit, what a nice touch. They truly care about customer experience. Parking is in a nearby garage. Bathrooms are stylish and clean. The whole place is upscale modern design, with open atmosphere. It seems like a great place to meet someone at the bar if you know what I mean. They also have tables that are a bit more quiet. The menu is extensive. I can't wait to come back and have the crab cake, a steak, the burger, the bolognese and the short rib. Everything sounds so delicious. I would recommend a reservation. Check this place out!

I ate here a couple of nights ago and I was really in the mood for a great burger, because I'm a burger girl after all. I decided to order my burger with just onions, mushrooms and asked for bearnaise on the side. Oh my gosh, if heaven had a kitchen it would be at Steak and Bourbon!!! This was hands down the absolute best burger I have had in my entire 55 years!! It was juicy, fresh, full of amazing flavor and the bun had the perfect consistency, not too hard or too soft, it never fell apart! ! The onions I could have eaten by themselves, that's how delicious they were. If you want a regular burger go anywhere else but if you want exceptional and the best burger of your entire life and the most heavenly burger on earth, eat at Steak and Bourbon! It was so amazing I could hardly speak... days later I'm still thinking about it and I'm already planning to go back!! If I could give them 10 stars I absolutely would! Thank you Steak and Bourbon this was a grand slam and we will see you again, soon!

First time at the downtown location. Very good experience! Food was excellent. Location doesn't feel quite as intimate as the Westport village location but still very nice.

Walking is the appropriate way to order a steak.

Really good. Steak cooked to order. It was a little on the salty side but a good cut of meat. The sides are pretty wild. I had the Brussels sprouts and sautéed mushrooms. Great service.

We visited Steak and Bourbon for our anniversary ant had a great experience. The bread to start was delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his salmon. Surprisingly, there was an entree for me, I'm not a meat eater. I loved the Vegetable Quinoa. Our server surprised us with an anniversary dessert.

This is a lovely space in a convenient downtown location. I really wanted to love it but for the price point, it should be comparable to other fine dining establishments and it just isn't quite there. The food was great but if I'm paying almost the same price, I'm going to Jeff Ruby's or somewhere similar instead. Service was decent - again, nothing like you would get at other fine dining places but it was okay. Only issue was my husband's meal didn't come out until the rest of us were almost finished and it wasn't acknowledged until we were asked about dessert. It was good but I honestly think I would choose somewhere else next time.

We came for a work dinner, we forgot to make reservations for a party of 8 but the staff was super accommodating to us since we got there right at open. Hats off to all of our servers for the night, everyone was super nice and helpful and gelled well with each other. The food! Omg the food was so amazing, we all got an assortment of things, the sides are shareable so we got brussel sprouts, au grait potato's, corn crème brûlée. There wasn't anything we didn't like. The vibe was very chill, there's a nice wine fridge right at the front of the restaurant and it's a nice look, the art an arrangement throughout the restaurant was so esthetically pleasing and the music was very chill, a lot of twist on old school classics

The bartenders greeted us as soon as we walked in, were friendly, explained the menu in detail and were very knowledgeable. On my first visit I opted for the seasonal Espresso Martini (Summer Martini Menu) however I wasn't a huge fan, if your an Espresso Martini connoisseur then you know everyone has a different preference in how they are made. The type of Vodka, whether they use espresso or cold brew and the type of coffee liquor. This one was made with deep Eddie vodka, espresso and Broghetti Espresso Liquor. Now with that being said, I am very much looking forward to going back to try their new Worlds Best Espresso Martini that they have collaborated with Heine Brothers coffee to create as it is a different recipe. On the second visit it was busy and the place was buzzing. They have a very unique cocktail menu and they also have extremely rare, old and almost one of a kind liquors you can get a pour of; one bottle dates back to the 30's I believe. When you walk in and are facing the bar, they are all displayed on the right hand side. My Husband tried the Smoked and Soured Four You (Michter's Bourbon | Lemon | Sugar | Smoke) which is a drink with a show! I tried a clarified cocktail ... the Espresso Spice & Everything Nice (Espresso Infused Vodka Clarified | Gingerbread Spice | Latte Foam) which was different but really good!!

Turning an old church into a bar/restaurant always makes for a unique environment. I loved walking through the rooms and seeing all the vintage details and stained glass. The Whiskey room has quite the shock factor with floor to ceiling bottles lining the walls. No complaints to be made about the service! It felt quick and smooth! The signature cocktails we ordered were very good (not pictured)! My only disappointment was the limited menu. The menu seemed to be mostly appetizers and pizza with some additional options for entrees. We ordered the Holy Fire Dip for a starter and it was delicious! It was warm and had great flavor. The waitress did need to bring more bread, the dipping options felt sparse. My husband and I split The Burnt Offering Pizza and Sanctuary Sliders, they were both solid. We both favored the pizza but would have liked more variety. I can see why this place comes highly recommended for the experience. I would definitely come back but hope they expand the menu by then!
