Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, 14 oz. Ribeye
    John A.

The juiciest ribeye I think I have ever had! And so soft it melted in my mouth! Couldn't believe the quality of meal for the price! Insane!! Service was excellent! My waitress was incredibly helpful with not just the meal, but also suggesting the local flavor for this out-of-towner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice little family establishment that does not cease to impress![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The peach cobbler did me in! It was soooo good and I just could t fit it all in. CanNOT wait to get back there!

NY strip cooked Pittsburgh rare with side of Broccoli
    Jack S.

Ordered take out. NY strip cooked Pittsburgh rare was a solid 8/10. Had never had a Pittsburgh cooked steak so wanted to try it. Overall the sear on the outside was really good and the cut had good flavor, my only complaint is it wasn't rare, and was more like medium. I'm usually a medium rare ordered but wanted to try rare but this just wasn't that. Sides of broccoli and mushrooms were fine but nothing special. Side salad was a bit weak. All in all I would come back. The steak was good and a reasonable price, 12oz for like $32. I'm in town for work staying downtown and all the places downtown are at a minimum $50+ for a smaller steak

    Menu

It is the only steak house in the downtown Jeffersonville area and it's a solid one overall. I've been a couple of times and this wasn't the finest of them. First of all they forgot to serve us the complimentary bread until we asked for it - it was good, a really delicious garlicy butter to spread over it was included. Second, I ordered a steak and didn't receive a steak knife to eat it with until I asked. That all said, we were all served in a timely manner and our server was excellent. Very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The steak - an 11 ounce ribeye cooked medium. It was cooked perfectly, had a good flavor but it was WAY TOO SALTY. The level of saltiness that leaves you with a sore in your gums. But otherwise, it was really good. Was it 32 dollars good? I don't know. I can get a similar ribeye from Texas Roadhouse for ten dollars less so things like that do really come into your head. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is mediocre but it is what it is. It's loud, it's cramped, it's not romantic or moody. I wish it was darker and had a more interesting interior design. There's nothing to look at, no atmosphere or vibe crafted whatsoever.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, we were placed in a booth that had worn out seats. My dad said it felt like he was sitting on a plank of hard wood, and I agree. I didn't feel too bad about it but He's a lot older and it was uncomfortable for him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The general manager says they're two years old and probably due for replacement[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. For appetizers we had fried pickles. Delicious. For sides I had creamed spinach (so-so, not bad though), and shoestring fries - the fries were delicious. Overall, for being the only steak house in downtown Jeff this is solid. But it could easily be better. Ps. Get here early if you want a good parking spot nearby / it's limited.

Is it casual or upscale as far as what to wear? Are jeans acceptable?

    Casual, jeans would be perfect.

Do they have a drink special night?

I do not know about a certain night for drink specials, they do have tasted specialty drinks.

    Need to make reservations?

It's not required but isn't a bad idea. I called on a Friday night and got one for 45 minutes later.

Do they still do free birthday meals?

Free dessert but not a meal

Seating was available inside and out - accessible seating for those in a wheelchair would be difficult indoors due to limited space - tables are very close together. We elected to sit indoors due to the heat and had no trouble finding an available table. Our server was Greg and while the restaurant was not crowded - he was covering table tables both inside and out - which meant he would disappear for long periods of time. While he did his best to cover everyone appropriately, I believe the manager should reevaluate table coverage for a superior dining experience. The menu provides ample selection of items to order. I would highly recommend the large pretzel as an appetizer. We ordered the Cuban sandwich with potato salad and a chicken sandwich with waffle fries. I mentioned to Greg that I was lactose intolerant and he was able to accommodate by ensuring he would mention to the chef that no diary should be used in preparation. Both sandwiches arrived with no issues - with the only complaint being that the potato salad was very bland. Other than that, all went well. Overall, the food was good - fairly straightforward bar food. During peak times - seating will be limited, possibly non-existent. If you try Pearl Street Taphouse go during off-peak hours for the best service and seating options.

My order was taken down wrong and I ended being given something entirely different. They did end up making it correct for me. The horchata I ordered was really good and one of the better ones I've had from a place. My server was nice despite taking down my order entirely wrong. The interior is nice. It the music is absolutely too loud and constantly playing so you may need to talk a bit louder than usual if you want to have a conversation with anyone dining with you. The prices for the food isn't too terrible and pretty standard if you've been to most other Mexican restaurants that have a similar menu.
