As Steak 'n Shake has closed locations nationwide. this is the last in Oklahoma. Aside from that dubious achievement, this location was busy midday on a Saturday with perfect weather. Despite the busyness, the staff did a terrific job getting orders ready and out. Our server was an exceptional young man who came by frequently to make sure we had our needs met. He was also present to deliver the bad news that a child's hamburger order was delayed because it was missed. Steak 'n Shake has streamlined its menu menu and cut a good number of items. Still, it has a good selection of hamburgers, sandwiches, and sides at reasonable prices. One wonders if all Steak 'n Shakes had operated as well as this one whether there would've been necessity to close so many. It's hard to not like Steak 'n Shake. Come on, what's not to like, a steak burger with a milkshake? If you hate it, then you must be out of your mind. I have only been to Steak 'n Shake twice, the first time in OKC when I was trying to find a place to eat during late hours and the second time in Kansas when I was working for Walmart. I have not seen a Steak 'n Shake until working in Broken Arrow, and I knew I have to stop by eventually. It's not that Steak 'n Shake have the best steak burgers or milkshake, but it's more about my reminiscences of the past. More than 10 years have passed, but the steak burger and milkshake at Steak 'n Shake still tasted the same as before. I used to think that they have the best burgers and milkshakes. One thing I did forget was the fries, super thin and not great...not great at all. So many memories with Steak 'n Shake. Who knew a place could be emotionally provoking? I think my son wanted to reminisce a bit I used to take him to steak 'n Shake when he was little. Could've taken him anywhere for lunch the other day, and he wanted to go to a steak 'n Shake. I'm glad this one is still open. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and seated promptly. Austin was our server and he was very nice and very helpful with the menu answering questions. Very polite and well mannered young gentleman. We both ordered a different flavored milkshake, I chose birthday cake and it was so tasty! Extra calories are showing up on me a few days later lol but it was worth it. The burgers were great and the fries were just as I remember. we got our food before our milkshakes. The service was good. Staff friendly. The milkshakes were good. The hamburgers were just so so. The fries were ok not outstanding.

My late lunch was around 3:30pm and the restaurant had only a few patrons. I was greeted immediately upon entering and seated promptly. My server came over right away, was friendly, took my drink order and explained the menu to me. I ordered my meal when my drink was served just a couple minutes later. My timing was perfect since it was Happy Hour which means 1/2 price shakes. So I ordered one of those and a Patty Melt combo off the "secret menu" which isn't so secret because it's right on the table along with the regular menu. The Patty Melt was excellent. Buttered Grilled Bread with 2 steakburger patties, cheese and onion. My big issue with Steak & Shake is that their app is terrible. If you have a gift card balance in the app, you can only use it for to-go app orders. You cannot sit down in the restaurant, order a meal and pay for it using your Gift Card Balance. What's the point of that except to be ridiculous? If that weren't enough, if you try to scan the bar code, or enter the bar code on your receipt manually into the app for points credit, it won't work. The app says the code is invalid. So incredibly frustrating. read more

She definitely has an attitude I do not say this lightly I am a fast food worker as well and I understand there is hard days but she has been having a hard life I guess. But if you want two delicious burgers with fries for under $13 (not including tip), then this is the place. We get the single garlic butter burger with water. Went in for lunch today, restaurant did not appear busy yet most tables were people sitting there waiting for food. It took over 30 minutes for us to receive 3 burgers, 1 onion ring and 2 parm fries & a small cup of chili. The waitress asked if I'd like the chili first, I said yes. He jerked the seasoning off of my table and attempted to take my other food while I was eating abd says oh ur gonna eat the chili even though it's cold? My response well we've already been here quite a long time so I'll just eat it. My Frisco melt was fine. He then said I'm taking the fries and chili off of your ticket. Gee thanks Ben if you wouldn't have an attitude with your paying customers who are always right in my opinion or comp our meal totally or offer hot food to take with us that would have been nice.
