Most disorganized place I have ever seen. No pets should be allowed in the eating establishment. They were not busy, but most of the tables were dirty. The staff was clueless and unmotivated. The person bussing the tables was not paying attention and when asked to clean a table threw the towel at the host. The towel landed on the floor and hostess proceeded to wipe the table down with the towel from the floor. That was the last straw and we left. Had a free birthday double with cheese and fries. Food was served hot and fresh. served with a small container of seasoned salt on the side along with ketchup and salt and pepper in packets. When i picked up my burger about 1/4 of the bottom bun was folded over on itself-kind of a sloppy presentation. The burger meat was well cooked, lacked flavor and was somewhat uninteresting. Worst experience ever and we were looking forward to a good time. First of all they were overstaffed (literally 15 teenagers) standing in the waiting area (where they pick up the food to bring to the guests). We were seated by the wall closest to the waiting area. Since there were too many folks and not enough to do the teen waiters start goofing off and horse playing. Throwing things at each, shouting swear words and being louder than the entire restaurant (two families got up and left). Some of their own coworkers were shushing each other and telling each other to keep it down and yet they continued to be loud and obscene. Then they started squirting each other with ketchup and somehow it ended up coming over the wall onto my sister in law, in her hair, in her drink and in her plate of food. It was awful!!! I called for the manager of course after standing up and looking over the wall to see the teens squirting each other with condiments. The manager comped my sister in laws food and drink but the teens were told to be quiet and they did the teen thing and starting staring us down for "taddling" on them. Honestly if they want to have a job and be paid, respected and get anywhere in life they need to be professional and do their best regardless of the job they have. Do it to the best of your ability. If not get out. It was distracting, disturbing and just a terrible experience (worst experience I have EVER had). I get that teens have a lot of energy and it's not a job they take seriously but the manager and owner should take pride in their establishment and take into consideration their customers satisfaction first. See that little button promising a Free Burger and Fries? DON'T FALL FOR IT! I did, and when I went there to redeem it today, I had to go through TEN MINUTES of manager conferences and lectures on why they just can't take coupons. Yes, eventually they did grudgingly honor it, but only after making me feel like a criminal for even trying to con them out of free food. It was humiliating. The end result was, they were never going to honor these damn coupons again because they said (I am not making this up) how did they know that I wasn't going to come back tomorrow and use it again? Yes indeed, because the customer is always a dirty thief out to steal their precious burgers. They even made a big deal about it needing to be printed on an actual piece of paper first. Ok, so by that logic, you couldn't print ... 2? 3? 100? Somehow printing is a deterrent to fraud. Also, they were having trouble with coupons from other websites or something, so you can rest assured if you come in with one, it will be thoroughly scrutinized. DO have fun with that. It's a regular trip to the dentist for a root canal in terms of total number of giggles. I was even told that the number on these coupons is virtually the same, so THAT helps. Other businesses with half a brain have unique codes. No, that would be ACTUAL fraud prevention & take an effort. Much better to blame the customer. At one point, we had THREE people working on this monumentous problem. They just couldn't figure it out. I am amazed they can even cook a burger without somehow licking the grill or accidentally gargling hot fry oil after witnessing this brain trust at work. So, yes, eventually I passed the test, completed the quest and was awarded the finest burger it has ever been my pleasure to consume. You would want to quit your job and start a religion devoted to worshiping this ultimate tribute to seared cow flesh. Nah, just kidding, of course. It was barely warm by the time they finished waterboarding me for it. The fries had zero warmth. They were nice enough to replace those. The burger was nothing special. A McDouble is better, cheaper and only slightly smaller. I just ate and got out of there. One more thing, it was the middle of lunchtime and there was hardly anyone there. I am guessing they had run off anyone unaware of how this place operates already. This review is for breakfast only. I stopped in here for breakfast and ordered up the basic sausage and eggs breakfast. It was very good. They even served me an ice cold glass of milk and i mean, ICE COLD. The way milk should be served. Serving me tepid milk is one of my pet peeves. My wife had the California Skillet and she loved it. She could not finish the huge plate of eggs, cheese, mushrooms, hashbrowns and avocado slices. And it came with pancakes that were also excellent. I wish I could remember our servers name but she was excellent. The service was great and fast. Even the piped in music was great. Oldies and classic rock. After the two if us ate breakfast we got the check. It was only $13 for both. So I left a nice tip. I will deffinitly be going back here for breakfast again. read more

I like Steak-n-shake - the burgers are good, and I like the chili - but I'm not a huge fan of their little baby crackers. Ask for real crackers - they have 'em, but can be stingy with them. But I like Steak-n-Shake the most for their breakfast. They actually have an extremely affordable breakfast, that's really, really good. They just don't advertise it much. But I can feed a family of four for breakfast here for about $20. So, it's well worth it. Try doing that at Cracker Barrel or IHOP and you'll see why this is a great destination for breakfast. There are also always coupons flying around for Steak-n-Shake, so you can usually get a decent deal when you go here if you plan ahead a bit. read more

My best friend [Ron] and I have been having breakfast on Saturday morning at the Broken Arrow, Ok location for several years and we enjoy the atmosphere and great service we get every time. We have the same 2 waitress [Alanyna and Brandy] they are kind of our adopted daughters. Eggs tasted weird, the pancakes were too greasy and the waitress didn't do a good job.

Worked there this summer for some side money and experience, and found many very disturbing things.. The Food: is disgusting and almost never properly made. The fries are usually cold, thin, and bland. Even saw frozen fries make it to a customer a couple times. o_o' The Mac 'n' cheese is frozen then microwaved. The safest things to eat there are the frozen brownies they have shipped in and prepackaged from another company(which they only give the customers a 1/4 a bar in their shakes), and MAYBE the chicken tenders(since it's hard to mess those up or get someone sick from them.) About everything else is simply trash and over priced as well. Equipment: ALL silverware and dishes are coated in a 'garbage water' and heated on by a dirty dish washer that might be cleaned once every 2 days. The easiest way to see this nastiness is by wiping the chipped/cracked plastic glasses they give you inside. (91% are like that.) The illusion of lots of ice makes the customers think it isn't dirty, when if you asked for a empty glass and wiped it on the inside or out it's dirtier than if you took make-up off your face. (It's like a thin layer of food particle chunks and grime.) The floors, booths, and even bathrooms, are not cleaned every day. They just do enough to pretend it's better.(Touch at your own risk.) Even the drink stations aren't cleaned well. The nozzles for the soda is soaked in lemon water over night, or even sometimes lemonade (when the workers don't have or feel like cutting up a lemon.) The water has next to no filter and the cherries limes and lemon are left out the the air and bugs all day with no lids or anything. Workers: 95% is untrained or are trained very poorly. You are treated terribly with verbal abuse, harassment, verbal assault, and that's just from management and staff. Not to mentioned you are paid $2.15 hourly and if you don't make enough, I.E, at least minimum wages the G.M can get in trouble, so he'll tell you to lie when claiming your tips(You know, the one YOU get taxed for.). If you refuse, he will threaten to demote you or simply get rid of you. Consumers note: If you ever have a complaint or ANYTHING to tell the managers or owner and decide to call and leave a message, no one will EVER hear it. None of them can access it and the owner won't get ride of it either. It's the same as screaming into the void. Saves them time and energy with dealing with people. ((And they have many complaint's daily)) read more
