I stopped here because I've passed it for a million years and never tried it. My mom needed an after-procedure milkshake, so it was perfect. My burger was very tasty. The cashier in the drive thru was nice.

The Original Double Steak Burger with Fries was good. The service was exceptional. Our server was Esa. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A clean restaurants with a "Happy Days" diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music was a little loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think the rating shown on Yelp as of today 6/12/26 is low, (3 stars) and does not accurately represent the dining experience.

It's hard to not like Steak 'n Shake. Come on, what's not to like, a steak burger with a milkshake? If you hate it, then you must be out of your mind. I have only been to Steak 'n Shake twice, the first time in OKC when I was trying to find a place to eat during late hours and the second time in Kansas when I was working for Walmart. I have not seen a Steak 'n Shake until working in Broken Arrow, and I knew I have to stop by eventually. It's not that Steak 'n Shake have the best steak burgers or milkshake, but it's more about my reminiscences of the past. More than 10 years have passed, but the steak burger and milkshake at Steak 'n Shake still tasted the same as before. I used to think that they have the best burgers and milkshakes. One thing I did forget was the fries, super thin and not great...not great at all. So many memories with Steak 'n Shake. Who knew a place could be emotionally provoking? I would recommend for the nostalgia. If you've never been to a Steak 'n Shake in the past, then you can totally pass.

Server She didn't say her name. She's a bit pushy to get our order. But, other than that. She's been fine. Ambiance [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its a 50's themed restaurant with the appropriate themed music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food The royal burger was very good, nice crisp bacon, perfectly fried egg on top of a pair of freshly grilled steak burgers. The garlic single was good. Was like garlic cheese toast with meat. The chili cheese fries left a lot to look at. But tasted good. The mint oreo sundae was quite good. Overall They've made lots of changes since our last visit. So, food was good. Looking forward to the mini mint chocolate chip sundae again. Military Yes

I always love coming here to feel like I'm in a retro diner! The service is super quick, and the menu is filled with great and affordable options. The garlic steak burger is my favorite because it's seasoned so well, and the fries are skinny and delicious!

The service I receive is always great and has no issues there. I got the prime rib again just to be let down. The outer crust on one side had good flavor, but the other contained an amount of salt that would suffice a salt water aquarium. I ordered the prime rib medium rare. It came out appearing to be close to that but it was tough and had a gray colored center with pink around it. This is due to improper thawing or uneven cooking. Despite that, it literally had the taste of water. I was just disappointed. Although I did not finish it, the waitress did take it off the bill which I was pleased with the service on their end. The other food items that we got were average. Out of all the places to go for a good dinner, this will no longer be on the list in the Broken Arrow for my family.

There is an abundance of wine to choose from. Our server was rushed (and they were packed) and I didn't get a lot of direction on the wine so I just ordered a white sampler and just asked for three dry varieties. The first one I tried (Collan) was not dry in my opinion. The Triple was drier but my favorite was the Fume. I really got hints of pinion in this final one and ordered another 5 oz. of it. We tried the avocado bruschetta to start. It was four big pieces of good bread but was more avocado toast than bruschetta. I would probably go with a different appetizer next time. We both tried the burgers. I went with the mushroom-gouda one. It was over done and not seasoned at all. The gouda was nice and gooey and the mushrooms were seasoned well. Fries were OK. The table next to us had a couple of the flatbreads and I would try those next time. Back to the service. It was OK but our server had a tendency to just show up at our table and just stand. I would come back to try more appetizers and a flight of their red offerings. I also want to know more about the winery. Maybe after the busy holidays.

The hustle and bustle of Friday night dinner plans hadn't started yet and there was plenty of seating. We were seated and there were crumbs on our "clean" table. We were moved and the floor under that table was sticky. Our server, who never introduced themselves, came and took our drink and appetizer order. Our sodas came out flat. The server didn't charge us and replaced them with waters. Our appetizer eventually arrived, the spinach, artichoke dip. The parmesan on top was not melted, we removed it like a sheet of paper. We told our server, who said, "oh yeah, I should've told you that it is better when you take it home and microwave it to really melt the cheese then it's really good". Even if we did enjoy the spinach dip, which we did not, there aren't enough pita chips to eat the entire appetizer. Those would be an additional charge. During the appetizer conversation, I did put my empty water glass to their side of the table to make a refill more simple. They started to walk away without even realizing the nonverbal gesture I made as to not interrupt our conversation. I verbally asked for more water and they forgot about it. I did witness the "ah-ha" moment when they remembered they had forgotten. My wife's grilled salmon had no real flavor, sitting on top of a basic bed of rice. Her tabouli was lacking. I can't forget to mention that when her side salad arrived, the food runner simply asked, "is this yours?" It was slightly off-putting. I never thought about my dining experience being altered by the food runner, but "side salad with ranch" versus "is this yours" is a minor detail that can apparently affect the experience. The server didn't come by as often as I felt they should. They did their verbal checks with the appetizer and the meal, but didn't see them do any walk by checks, until I asked for the bill. My burger was nothing to write home about, but it was good. The fries were undercooked and the thousand island dressing tasted like Kraft dressing. I ate half my burger and my wife ate a small portion of her salmon. We paid 60$ for food we barely touched and we took none of it home. I would rather pay 60$ at Chili's or Texas Roadhouse. We take those leftovers home. I would like to say that I would give Bison another chance, but that won't be the case. Too many mishaps on this visit to make us want to return. My wife was very tempted to talk to the manager, but I was more ready to just pay the check, leave, and take this experience as a sign to never return.

I usually order my food to go, but on one visit I arrived early and spent some time inside. The front area has a small waiting space with decor that gives a bit of history and personality to the place. They also offer beef for purchase, which is a nice touch if you are someone who enjoys cooking at home. I sat at the bar while I waited, and the service matched what I have come to expect from them. Friendly, attentive, and easygoing. The bartender even helped create a drink based on the flavor profile I described. It had a light citrus note with tequila and was very well balanced. As for the food, the onion burger is my favorite. I always add lettuce and tomato, and their burger sauce brings everything together. The flavors are rich without being overwhelming, and the quality of the beef stands out. The fries deserve their own mention. The regular fries are crispy and well done, and the sweet potato fries are just as good, which makes it hard to choose between the two. I usually get the garlic aioli on the side, and it takes everything up another level. The atmosphere is slightly elevated compared to a typical burger spot, especially in the bar area, but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable. It is a place I will keep coming back to whenever I want a burger that feels worth it.

He runs more to the tame side of food, so this was a logical choice for us. TLDR: good food, reasonable prices and really nice people. Got there around 12:45, and were seated immediately. We got menus and ordered drinks and set about making choices. My son went with the chicken and waffles, hashbrowns instead of eggs, since he doesn't eat eggs. I went with my usual diner test, the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy and green beans. The inside is clean, neat and cheery. Staff were busy but attentive. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Son's chicken and waffles were outstanding, according to him. Chicken not dry and waffles crisp on the outside and tender inside. Not sure what syrup they use, but he commented that it had almost a cinnamon flavor that he loved. The dish comes with a berry compote type dip that was quite good. Hashbrowns were perfect. Crispy on the outside and steamy soft inside. My CFS was one of the better ones I've had. Not the best, but certainly an 8/10 on all points. Plenty thick enough, nearly 1/2" and well breaded. Crust to meat ratio was good too, with only a little pullback on the meat. Brust was flavorful and not at all soggy. Potatoes are scratch made, and the gravy was both flavorful and plentiful. Green beans were slow cooked and once I salted them, they were great. CFS could have been a little more tender, as some parts definitely needed a knife to cut, but overall, a really good effort. It also came with a respectable side salad that I enjoyed a lot. Prices are reasonable, service is great and the atmosphere is typical diner, without being a greasy spoon, not that that's a bad thing at all. My part of the order ran to $18 and change with an iced tea, and for what I got, that's not bad at all.
