Had a Sweet tooth for a milkshake specialty. I bought the Nutella shake and also a mini cheeseburger. The Nutella shake was delicious with the right amount mixed in as you drink the milkshake you're able to also get some of the actual Nutella that was poured amongst it. We ordered The Butter Double Steakburger that comes with grilled onions, super thin and crisp fries which I love and Nutella Shake. Garlic Double Steakburger with an oreo Shake and 3 pc chicken fingers combo with fries and Cotton Candy Shake. These burgers were so good and the shakes creamy and thick. So the burger was actually really good. But the thing that got me was the beverage bar. You need your receipt to scan in order for the soda to unlock it's the strangest thing I've ever seen! Apparently I threw my receipt out because I didn't know I needed to unlock the machine. So I'm digging in the trash to find it. I couldn't locate it and by the grace of god the manager allowed a worker to fill my cup.but the whole experience really threw me off from ever wanting to return here. It was Father's Day, and what a better spot to grab lunch than for some sizzling burgers! Going in, the layout is a little bit different now as there are ordering screens at the front. Moving into my review, for fast food standards, this was very good! For starters, each burger was saucy and possessed fresh tasting beef and condiments! I wished the burgers had a little more of a seared crust, but these were still very tasty. The fries were perfectly crisped, and the seasoned salt packets packed a ton of salty garlic unami flavor! Moreover, the chicken tenders were tender and tasted like they were made with real chicken! Overall, I find that Steak and Shake still presents a great bang for your buck and doesn't skimp when it comes to flavor. I'd give this experience a 4.5/5! I ordered through the Steak and Shake personal website. The order that was delivered was for the wrong person. I called the restaurant 14 times to resolve this issue, but there was no answer. I drove to the restaurant and told them about the situation and they then gave me my original order, that has been sitting there for OVER 30 minutes. (Now why would anyone pay for soggy food and melted milkshakes?). When I tried to at least ask for a refund for the delivery fees they said to go online. Their PERSONAL website has no help line and said to call the specific location, which clearly didn't work. Nobody there knew how to do a refund or how to even get a refund through their OWN website. We were told to call tomorrow to get in touch with a general manager. But how would we reach the manager if they don't answer the phone? Thankfully, the manager on site called the general manager and the general manager had our order remade fresh. We're grateful that he understood and helped solved the dispute. I do appreciate the manager on site although I didn't get her name she did try to help out. It doesn't make sense why I called 14 times with no answer and there's no way to get refund from their website or in person. read more

This is as bad as it gets. Assembly line DIY food orders. They can't even get that right. And they prompt for tips when paying? For what, there is no service staff here. I DO NOT recommend this steak and shake location. The reason for this review is strictly for their drink station. You have to scan a barcode in order to get your drink. And when I went to get up to get a refill after my meal barcode was not working and when I mentioned it to a staff member he said that he will let the manager know, so manager came up and said that they don't do refills! I've been coming to this location for over 10 years and this was never the issue. I completely understand if they change their protocols. My opinion is that they should at least have a sign up saying no refills available. The manager was extremely rude when he said it! I just never seen a place that you have to scan a barcode. I'm not sure what imbeciles Steak & Shake has employed at this location but I'm really concerned because I'm almost certain they're illiterate. THIS TIME, as in, this is NOT the first time they've proven that the Florida Educational system failed them, but the SECOND time I was given a lemonade instead of a sprite. Aside from being illiterate, they have dysarithmia; I ordered a COMBO, which means it comes with a fry, and I ordered an ADDITIONAL fry on the side. Only got one! I guess 1+1 does not equal 2, in their heads. Might I mention, the fry was more than halfway gone (it came sealed so I'm sure my dasher didn't consume the other 75%) and cold, and the lemonade smelled like puke so I didn't consume either. You can't come here expecting the service and food of a five star restaurant, but I LOVE me some Steak 'n Shake every once in awhile. Every so often I crave their thick and creamy milkshakes and I just have to go! The side by side chocolate and vanilla is my favorite. I always order the same exact thing every time I go. I am a die hard for their chili. I don't know what it is about it, but it is SO delicious. I've even bought their chili in a can at the grocery store so I could enjoy it in the comfort of my own home. Their prices really can't be beat, and everything is made fresh to order. This is why it can sometimes take super long for you to get your food. They recently had a special (I am not sure if it's still going on) where you can get a double cheeseburger, cup of chili, fries, and a cookie for $4. AMAZING!
