I recently stopped by Smackin J's Deli and I had to come on here and show them some love. I just got back from a trip to Philadelphia not too long ago, so I've had some real cheesesteaks fresh on my mind and let me tell you, their cheesesteak took me right back. The flavor, the bread, everything about it was on point. You can tell they really care about what they're putting out. But what really stood out to me was the vibe. Found this cute little deli on google. It gives family owned when you walk in, which I love. They were very welcoming as soon as I stepped through the door. They have a vast menu, a bunch of different breakfast options and deli like lunch options. They have daily specials, and the prices are very reasonable. I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap which was very good and the macaroni salad wasn't bad at all either. The host gave recommendations when I gave her the items I was deciding between. We have passed this place many times. We finally decided to stop in for lunch. It's located in a semi-industrial area on the corner of Andrews and Copans Road. It much larger and nicer than you would expect from the outside. We had a good experience here. Staff was welcoming and friendly. There were a lot of local workers having lunch when we came in. I ordered a Caesar salad with added chicken and my husband had a small steak sandwich. My salad was large with fresh romaine, cheese, and croutons and cooked chicken on top. My husband said his steak sandwich was quite tasty -- all served in a soft bun. I had their in-house brewed unsweetened tea for my beverage. We are glad we came by and finally dined in. Food was delicious, philly cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak, and good morning burger was incredible with the right amount of spice. The seasonings are also for sale to buy. The caramel latte was delicious with whole milk and whipped cream. The place is casual, fun and it feels like a family working with you. We were seated right away. They were busy with table service and takeout orders. Service was very good and the staff is friendly and efficient. What was a plus is that you are served on real plates with real silverware - no plastics silverware or foam containers! We ordered a Mediterranean wrap and a chicken ceasar. Both were very good but we both agreed the Mediterranean was our favorite! My only recommendation would be a new sign on the building. With every bite you get each layer of deliciousness perfectly equal & the crunch of the pressed bread really tied the whole sandwich together. The philly cheesesteak was phenomenal as well! Went to Smackin' Joe's Deli & Grill for breakfast with my brother! He had the loaded potatoes with onion, ham & peppers along with 2 eggs he had them put on top! It was so yummy, crispy, savory goodness! I had J's breakfast with the extra thick bacon, 2 eggs over easy and I had them add shredded cheese on top along with a grilled everything bagel...so delicious! Sorry no photos this time! I have been driving past this place for 4 years and I finally decided to stop in. I am so mad - that it took me 4 years! This is place is awesome. Had the biscuits and gravy and added over easy eggs. Delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly - which I find is difficult to come by. And I ordered a pancake with a guava cream sauce and that was amazing! Not to mention the bacon. Well, they took dreary, old, crowded Sadie's, & cleaned, brightened & modernized it to a very comfortable, cozy, local cafe! Two large TVs & two nice clean restrooms. The Colombian coffee is delicious, but, would love real half n half. We took Ali's suggestions & my husband ordered the breakfast quesadia & I had the breakfast tacos, both were so delish!!! Service was excellent, we got in at the right time, as when we were finishing, two large parties were coming in w nice children, which owners accomadated quickly, even with a highchair.
