Her name didn't print on the receipt so I went back through the drive thru to get her name and the name of the cook, so if I did all that you know our food was on point! Listen I'm easy to please when it comes to a hamburger! I love the steak n shake double bacon cheeseburger. An order of cheese fries is a must. That was my order short AND sweet. I didn't catch her name but the manager on duty today at 1pm was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! She was yelling and berating the employees the entire time. I take it she was on the board and deleted orders so it took us 50 mins to an hour to get our food that she claims never came across her screen but it was on the other screens. I know this because it's what she and another employee were arguing over. There was no apology from her at all for the wait or anything just her continuously yelling at the employees. Visited 1/31/18- Just shut it down dang!!! I have to be completely honest that I have never received good service at this location and I've lived in this area for almost 3 years so yes shut it down. The Staff is very young and immature-it seems like constantly checking your instagram for updates and a prerequisite to work here. Typically my order is always incorrect and is missing something. Oh don't forget to have extra change because BBQ sauce or honey mustard is .25 cent and you only get 1 squirt in the container. How dare you ask questions while placing your order.. The attitude and tone you receive will make you drive off.But dinning in at this location is just as bad as the drive through. The Staff wil watch you through the window getting out of your car and never come to greet or seat your party. I love Steak & Shake. I was so excited when I found out that they were building one right next to my house! I thought it was going to be as great as the one in Morrow, GA which I have grown to adore, but 15 miles away. Little did I know that 15 miles is worth it over 1/2 of a mile. First major turn off is the dirtiness. Trash and food are all on the floor and tables. The floor is sticky and the tables are not stocked with condiments. Second turn off is the staff. The waitresses, who are in their teens, are rude and nonchalant. They wouldn't know good customer service if it hit them in the face. They don't check on you or refill your drinks. Third turn off is the wait time. There will be nobody in the dining area but me and I will still be waiting about 30mins to 45mins for a Steakburger with fries. This has happened to me multiple times and I had to tell the manager. I will now either go to Morrow or Newnan. I am glad to full up my tank and go the extra mile. read more

Took ten minutes before someone attempts to make them st the manager's request, then after getting them at first glance one had three cherries and the other suppose to have two but they were not visible. This was our first time ever at a Steak n' Shake and when Antoine found out, he truly went above and beyond. He gave us recommendations on the menu and shakes, and was so great with our little one too. He checked on us multiple times, and truly cared about how we liked our meals. My wife and I love Steak and Shake and don't have one in our home town. After leaving the airport we were starving and thought this would be a perfect spot. I saw the 1 star rating and should have paid attention. I just figured people didn't like the franchise. I should have read the reviews. This place is terrible. The management is non existent. We weren't seated at the door. The server seemed to be the only person actually working while all the other staff hung around chatting to one another. Our food was bad. I love steak n shake but this one has the worst wait time average in fast food history. It's like a reverse Spongebob Squarepants episode except where you have to have your order super ready or you will have to end up having to wait or have a wrong order. Great area of choice but poor execution. It is also the only Steak N Shake I know that does not have an open diner 24 hours, but that is sort of understandable given the area. 2 Fun Facts 1. I wish I could rate it a ZERO, I order from here today about 4:30, restaurant was 1/4 full, they don't accept "normal" steak and shake deals and you can't use app although at register they advertise it. Explanation there not corporate. It pitiful and ashamed. I got my order and later leaned that my burger had cheese on it. I don't eat cheese on any burger that uses the process stuff. Tried to call, was placed on hold while a "manager" was called to answer my concerns, well needless to say 30 min has passed no manager, no one picked up phone to say, "still waiting for one"! Wow, hate to concur with the previous review, but the growing pains here are out of control. I stopped in the night an ice storm was expected, wanting something quick and warm to take to work. I thought Steak 'n Shake chili would be great. Steak 'n Shake clearly thought otherwise. A take out order I thought would take 5 minutes took over 40, nearly making me late for work. I don't understand in what universe getting a take out order of chili takes that long, when there are less than a dozen people in the dining room and the drive thru is not slammed. I was so pleased that when my order finally arrived, the top was half off and the chili had spilled all out into the bag and all over the packs of oyster crackers they included. Fortunately, my order taker was standing there when I looked and took it away. Probably not in my best interest, I suggested maybe putting it into two single containers, but I still don't know that those two equaled up to a bowl vs. cup of chili, and did I get ripped off. This arrangement proceeded to take more than another five minutes, and oddly, no crackers appeared in the bag. I think along with all the other inspiring events of the visit, the failure of anyone to offer me a complimentary soda during all this wait was quite admirable. I'm guessing the manager saw nothing wrong with a customer lounging around in an empty booth for over thirty minutes, because I was offered absolutely no compensation for my horrible visit. Worse, when I reported the incident to corporate, they were just as detached. I found this curious for an operation that spontaneously sends out many coupons at any given moment for many items on its menu. All I received was a thank you and an indication that the incident would be handled. No coupon or certificate to retain my business or give me a reason to return. Absolute loss on both ends, because like many others, I *love* their burgers and addictive fries. But this kind of dismal service and lack of consideration to the source of the company's income and profits is inexcusable. Bye, Steak 'n Shake. -- Parking note. BE sure to pay close attention to the signs to enter the parking lot. Tonight I come in and the young lady gets our table, only to see the table is Nasty. She leaves and says she is going to take our order, but takes too long to come back. It's not very busy at all. The least she could have done was get our drinks or quickly bring water. I'm completely turned off and decided to dine elsewhere. My nephew came, he wanted to eat here. If I could, I would give this place a 2.5, but I would round up to 3 for price and service. I have only been to a steak and shake a couple of times before, but this one seems fairly typical. You get what you pay for and it's a fair burger and fries for under $5. For the price, there isn't much that can beat it considering it is a sitdown restaurant, and that there's not a lot of burger options in this area. The burgers themselves are cooked in the 'smashed' style and turn out pretty thin and a little crispy. If you like very moist, think burgers you should look elsewhere. The fries are like big shoe string fries, and they put just enough to make a medium order at a fast food place. Like I said, you get what you pay for and this place is a fair deal all things considered. And the service is pretty fast considering the area (sat, ate and paid in under 30 minutes). read more

This place has really bad customer service. I have ordered through the drive thru multiple times but most of the times I've been disappointed. It seems like they're always mad at the customer and don't try to make us happy with the service. Today I went at around 2:30 and the girl working the drive thru first said there's no large cups for a large drink I ordered. When I drove to the window they had a stack of large cups then I asked and she said they didn't have lids then she proceeded to make a scene about it.
