Not as fast as cable but has been down fewer times. The mesh network is actually pretty good so on the overall my coverage is better than it was with Comcast. The problem I have with Quantum aka CenturyLink is that their pricing / billing practices are deceptive at best. I signed up on a plan that promised $65/month, no contract and no price increases. 6 months in they informed me that they are raising the price by $10/month. When you try and call "customer service" the wait times are a joke. Usually when that happens I try a chat. They also don't credit you for outages which is uncool. Pretty much the same lengthy wait. They did give me a slight accommodation but it's left a bad taste in mouth on the overall. When alternatives to Quantum are available in my area I'd definitely going to give them a look. TL;DR - internet quality/speed/connectivity is good. Business practices are shady and I'm not getting that warm and fuzzy feeling from them at all. Business practices 1* Delivered product 4*

Our service was started 26 days ago - it's been out half of that time. Oh, wait - update: the service technician simply no-showed today. 4-hour service window ended at noon - he never came, nor called, nor texted. Three conversations with customer " support " were meaningless. Question of the day: is Quantum (AT&T) merely staggeringly incompetent ? Or they just don't give AF about their customers ? Or both?! Impossible to know!

I will give them points because every tech I have encountered is kind and has good customer service. They also often empathize about the scheduling and dispatch problems. It takes Century Link at least four days to come out for service, sometimes even over a week before another appointment is available. That is, if they even show up. When it is the company's fault that they missed the service appointment, they still can only reschedule me four days from now, after I've already waited a week. I am a remote worker in a role that deals with highly confidential information. I cannot just find a spot with internet connection and set up shop, so these recurrent instances affect my job. I have had to spend money out of pocket to rent spaces where I can work with sensitive information comfortably. When I have requested compensation of any kind in exchange for the inconvenience, I have been denied every time. This has been a disappointing experience to say the least.

There is zero response to questions that can only be asked thru Ai chat, so only machine response. I have no expectations of service because it seems only 2 of us are out. So happy I made the switch and speed test showed much faster Mbps download/upload speeds than what I had with Wave G's 1gb service. If your building offers WebPass: I'd recommend it over Wave G and any other service. It nets out to $46 a month if you pay upfront for 1 year ($550 annually), no surprise fees, and it's REALLY fast. Customer Service: Very available and helpful. Technician (Jorge) came exactly at 9am, set-up for 5 minutes, and I was up and running. I scheduled ~2 weeks in advance to wait for the end of my billing cycle with Wave G to transition to Webpass. Seamless process. Internet: SUPER fast. I'm connected wirelessly and my speed tests showed me at 490 Mbps download. Wave G was at 125 Mbps for me. Price: Cheapest option out there if you take the $550 annual payment for 1 year. It's the best. Otherwise it's $60/month but you won't get surprise fees like you do w/Wave. Feel free to reach out if you have questions - esp. if you're moving to Seattle. Happy to provide my honest feedback. TIPS I found online that I think may help. I'm no tech guy but I read this is important. Router - you need one compatible w/high speeds. Dual band AC wireless router w/gigabit Ethernet ports. That will help w/speeds. Modem - You do not need since you connect to the internet directly into the wall. Ethernet Cable - get a Cat6 cable if you're wired up. It'll help w/speeds.

Complaint registered today against Xfinity, owned by Comcast:…read moreDescription of complaint: Comcast/Xfinity billing is confusing to say the least. Current bill due as of 8/1/2024. They bill a month in advance. Yesterday, I cancelled that plan which should erase the $206 normal charges. I am making a payment of $93.37 tomorrow, which I am not challenging. There may be a residual balance of under $25, but they are telling me that I will owe $152 and change after tommorow's payment, and this is part of the amount I am challenging. I have paid $250 on 7/4/2024 and with tomorrow's payment, that is $343 in one month!!!! On my last complaint to the BBB, they also told me they would credit the $100 tech visit on 3/24/2024 which I was told several times by the tech that actually came to my house that I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED, so this $100 credit did not drop off. I was also told twice by two different chat discussions subsequent to that date. So the total amount that I should be credited would be $252 and change. The only reason for two stars is because of the hours I have had to spend challenging their puzzling billing "rules," in which, after I cancelled all TV expenses, the gave me bare internet FREE for one year. I am finally switching to a digital antenna, and getting a smart TV. To their credit, Xfinity's internet is EXCELLENT in quality and speed, even at 50Mbps. Quite simply, $230 a month for TV and internet is TOO MUCH, even if you are fairly well off. Since 2006, I have paid Comcast some $40,000 in services, taxes, fees and miscellaneous "other" charges. Not any more.

To Comcast Legal and Executive Escalations, This email…read moreserves as a formal Notice of Dispute and a demand for the immediate cancellation of all Xfinity services under my account. I am writing to establish a strict, undeniable written paper trail, as Xfinity's systems deliberately block consumers from canceling services independently online, and your telephone representatives have actively falsified information. Yesterday, September 2, 2026, I called Xfinity customer support for the second time to ensure my account cancellation was being processed. The representative explicitly assured me that my services were ended. However, upon checking my account dashboard, I discovered the account remains active and billing continues. This marks the second consecutive time a phone representative has committed verbal fraud by promising my account was closed, only to leave it active to protect their internal metrics. This predatory behavior is a pattern. A few weeks prior to my cancellation requests, I called Xfinity three separate times attempting to find a better, more affordable rate for my plan. Instead of helping me or offering a reasonable pricing adjustment, your representatives repeatedly and aggressively shoved the Xfinity Mobile feature in my face. They refused to offer any other viable alternatives. It is entirely clear that Xfinity representatives do not strive to help the consumer; they strive solely to help themselves, protect their own sales quotas, and keep their jobs. Your entire customer service system is built on deceptive, bad-faith retention tactics designed to trap customers and extract unauthorized funds. Please take the following actions immediately: Terminate all services tied to this account effective immediately. Stop all future billing and revoke any automatic payment authorizations. Issue a final, prorated bill reflecting my original cancellation attempts, with a full waiver of any fees accrued due to your representatives' refusal to close the account. Send written confirmation of account closure to my email on file. I am keeping a log of this correspondence. If this account is not closed immediately and all unauthorized billing stopped, I will forward this entire documented timeline to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for violations of unfair billing and cancellation traps, and my State Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. Sincerely,

I contacted Alee with HiTek Telecom to get a quote on a complete network job for my home. Not only do my spouse that I work from home, but I also do a lot of photography and video that I transfer back-and-forth on my network and into the cloud. I was tired of poor and drop connections with my consumer level Wi-Fi system. In addition, I wanted a local security camera system that I can control without relying on a cloud service. After receiving a quote and agreeing on the scope of work, I scheduled the installation. Alee came out on time on the date scheduled and we walked through the plan of installation and confirmed what all my needs were. Alee and his team worked through the day and completed the install job in an incredibly professional manner. The installation and the cable runs, and all of the final product was exactly as described. After the install, Alee walked me through downloading all of the software that I needed, how to access and navigate the system, how to navigate and operate the security cameras, and ensure that everything was working properly. To be sure, this was a relatively large install for a residential application. I wanted ethernet drops in every room of my house, a new professional grade network cabinet, in-ceiling WIFi network, and a new suite of security cameras. I couldn't have asked for a better end product. I am quite pleased with the attention to detail of the install and making sure everything was perfect, workmanlike, and care was taken in my home. Alee came back out to adjust a couple of things for me after the fact and install an additional camera. Again, he was on time on the scheduled day. The workmanship was just as good and the communication has been stellar throughout. I truly can't recommend HiTek and Alee enough. Top-notch product and top-notch service.
