Dean did a great job in repairing quite a few bathroom tiles that had fallen off due to shoddy work…read moredone by a previous contractor. His quote was competitive and he showed up on time. The job took him two days and he performed it with care and skill. Before the appointment, we did have to call him a few times to get in touch with him. We were at first worried about his sole negative Yelp review and I asked him about it. He said you can't always keep all your customers happy. He doesn't seem to be the most polished but he pulled through for me and my tenants and I'm happy with the work he's done.

If I could give negative stars to Dean and Denver Grout Doctors I certainly would. I had such a…read moregreat experience on two separate projects with the Grout Doctors franchisee in Tampa that I decided to call Grout Doctors here in Denver. Dean is the local franchisee, but his service is absolutely terrible. He came out, looked at the job, and assured me he could make the floor grout in my master shower "look just like the grout on the upper walls. He came out, did the work (mostly cleaning and sealing), and after it dried it only looked marginally better. I was quite dissatisfied, so I tried to get back in touch with him to get him to come out and properly fix it. That's where the "fun" began. 1. Dean does not answer texts, and in fact, says he doesn't text. I have no idea how anyone can stay in business if they don't communicate via phone, text, email, etc., but that's what he says. 2. He doesn't return phone calls. I left him 6 or 7 voicemails and he never returned my calls (probably because he knew he had done a terrible job and didn't want to make good on his promise to make the floor grout look good again). 3. Grout Doctors Corporate "Customer Service" (I use the term customer service VERY loosely!) isn't much better. I left several messages for them and finally heard back from someone named Juliana. She was much more concerned about distancing herself/corporate from the problem than she was with helping me, but she assured me I would hear from Dean soon. That of course didn't happen. 4. When I finally got in touch with Dean we scheduled an appointment and he stood me up - no phone call, no text, nothing. He just didn't show up. 5. When I finally got him touch with him he very reluctantly agreed to come out. But when he got to my house he had a terrible attitude and acted put out at having to come back and make good on work he had already been paid in full for. 6. He took one look at the floor grout and said that he never told me he could make it look like the wall grout. I told him my wife was present when he said that and that she would be happy to confirm that he said that, but he got nasty and left. Dean Shelton is a terrible businessman and won't do what he says he will do if you hire him. He took several hundred dollars from me and left me with essentially what I started with!

Feeling sadistic and wanted to waste more of my time following up on the non-existent customer…read moreservice from your apparently horribly run company. Just to get an initial estimate for a project, I've contacted you repeatedly via email and voicemail, which weirdly goes directly to your owner's personal phone, but never with a response. To which I've clearly outlined what it is we need done in terms of refinishing our kitchen and bathroom tile, but to no avail. I've given approximate measurement of said space, thinking maybe our project is too small for your company, asking that you please let us know either way. Again, nothing. I work in the customer service industry, which, granted, isn't technically what you are, and I am willing to give a long leash to companies for being too busy and not GETTING this part of the whole communication process...to a point. But at this point you just seem like you don't care about the money or are too lazy or anti-social to give a simple yes/no response. Either way, you didn't get our money and we ended up going with another option. And that option is what I hope more do which is learning how to DIY. YouTube is very helpful and I encourage those with the time and means to learn basic stone refinishing themselves. It's relatively easy, but time consuming, and I would have always rather paid more to have it done by one of their "professionals." But here we are... Anyway, gotta love a learning experience you would've actually paid for.

I received 3 estimates to repair my damaged new marble vanity counter top. Stone Restoration Works…read moreresponded immediately. They were the only company to look at the job before providing an estimate. Josh was very professional and responsive. They were the best price also. They squeezed me into their schedule immediately. Jorge, the technician was so nice and professional. Took time to instruct me on maintaining my marble vanity. The end product is beautiful! Actually better than when I bought it. I am very grateful to them! Would absolutely recommend!
