Well ,after waiting on the work to be completed and payments from their company Alacrity to pay them after my insurance company paid multiple supplements the work is finally completed.I t was a quite a process .The walls and flooring is amazing.The paint job was done was done nicely.I called numerous times about the time line when the work was going to be completed and I was disappointed with the slow down and gap of time between projects but is now done and completed.I appreciate the company diligence in getting everything completed.Now it is time to enjoy my new and improved space.The value I can't say because the final estimate was considerably more than the initial estimate,but thanks to my insurance and the insurance agent they kept me calm throughout the long process. read more

I feel like I got nickeled and dimed. $30 fuel surcharge to run the truck while they spend 20 minutes or so cleaning???? You need the truck to run to operate the steamer. That's what I'm paying for. $15 per room for the few squirts of detergent spray. Crazy stupid. That's what makes the steamer effective. I have had carpets cleaned many times before (once by you guys a couple years ago), and these were never charges assessed before. I should have sent them on their way and just called any number of other companies that do the same thing (not to mention they showed up 2 1/2 hours late!!!). read more

Before I made an appointment with Steam Commander I went into great detail on what I needed performed, a large wool area rug that is on a wood floor to be cleaned. I was told before they sent Cody out that to perform a deep clean, they would need to take it away and do it at their shop. I told them I would do that once my puppy is fully potty trained, but wanted them to clean it to get the dinginess out of it in the high traffic areas. There were no visible pee spots and only dinginess in traffic areas. This rug is only four years old, only two of us live in the house and it had been cleaned once before. When Cody cleaned the rug, he was immediately told by my husband that the rug actually looked darker and dirtier than when he started and he said that was due to sun damage and would look better after it dried. Once the rug dried it looked much worse than before they came to clean. None of the dinginess had been removed and there were yellow streaks in several areas of the rug. I called to speak to someone about this and she kept arguing that sisal rugs will look darker after they are cleaned and we continued to tell her it is a wool rug with no sisal in it. She had Cody call me and he told me, "When you clean a tightly woven wool rug, it will often bring up old stains to the surface." I told him I believed that is what happened and asked if he can come back to clean the stains that have come to the surface. Surely since they are on the surface now they should be easier to clean. He begrudgingly scheduled another appointment, I took another 1/2 day off of work and he came back. He clearly had no intention to clean the rug when he came to the house. He immediately was very argumentative and told me that the rug looked much better than when he cleaned it and that it looked so dingy because "the sun fades rugs 3% every year" and I am seeing sun damage. Sun damage causes a rug to be dark and dingy? I pointed to a section of the rug where the sun never hits and asked him why that area doesn't look clean. He said it was a high traffic area. When I pointed out that a floor lamp has been on that corner since we installed the rug, he got frustrated and told me again it was sun damage. He started to get very aggressive, argumentative and insisted that I was wrong and all the marks I pointed out were there when he cleaned it the first time. He basically called me a liar repeatedly and that the rug wouldn't look any better because it was so worn. When I tried to tell him that what he was telling me about sun damage didn't make sense and that the rug isn't worn he cut me off and told me he isn't going to clean it again and was leaving. At that point I was happy to have him leave because he was getting loud, very confrontational and making me nervous. I will look for the company who cleaned it well before, never give this local business another call and discourage anyone else who considers them. Once they have your money, they could care less about customer service or doing the job. Too many good places out there to give this business your money. read more

I am so happy that I found this company via social media. They came highly recommended. After months of foot traffic and children, my carpet needed help. I didn't even know that steam cleaner was a thing, I've always only tried carpet shampooing. After this experience I will never go back to that way of cleaning carpets. Brenner and Julian arrived ahead of schedule (after confirming with me) and thoroughly walked me through the process and provided me with a quote after walking through the home. Very disappointed with the service that I received today. I was referred to steamcommander within the community and do feel the recommendation was adaquate. Due to traffic the employees showed up at 5:15 for a 5'clock appointment...ok, things happen. I escorted the two men upstairs to the couch that needed to be treated. The gentlemen kindly gave me a demonstration for the cleaniess that there product should produce. After I agreed on there services for the couch...I inquired about their carpet cleaning services as well. As they spoke with me concerning how good their carpet cleaning services were...I explained to them, I've have my carpet cleaned three years prior and was sorely disappointed at the waste of money that I spent. They continued to peddle their products stating how good their services were and how the previous services were inferior to what they could produce. As I agreed to the services...I asked several more times, " Are you sure that you could get the stains out?" They continued to stress how their steam gets to 200+ degrees and the along with pretreatment all of the stains would be gone. Towards the end of their trip...they informed me that some stains wouldn't come out because of wear and use. WHY DIDNT YOU JUST SAY THAT FROM THE BEGINNING!!!??? Fast forward until now...1:13 in the morning and I am highly upset because the same stains that they claim that would be gone once the product was dry...IS STILL THERE!!! These are the stains that were left using steam commanders. After speaking with the owner..she said that nothing else would be done about them.
