Felt rushed to make such a big decision. I told David, i just want to wait for my husband to come back from out of the country and just do the carpet cleanimg since he quoted me over 8k, but he said no because his guys were already here. And also that included a 500$ 2 years since warranty that i said that i wanted to opt out but he said it's not allowed. There were also some vents that were not cleaned

Great service and detailed explanation . We like David and his crew professionalism. They are very nice and friendly

Completely my fault for not reading the Yelp reviews first. I read them after I had made my appointment and though "hey, they can't be THAT bad". Well I was wrong! The man who came in didn't even know what to charge he kept asking me what I was "quoted" over the phone. I told him I had a coupon and I knew more than 10 vents would be additional. But he asked me again what I was quoted. I showed him the area I wanted steam cleaned. He didn't pay attention and missed the major area I needed clean. Then he asked me which cleaning service I wanted. Apparently there are 2; the one where they pour hot water on your floor for 0.70 a square foot and I guess the one that actually cleans is $1.40 a square foot. I was quoted a time between 1pm and 5pm and got a call at 10:20am asking if they could come earlier. Which is fine. But now I know why they had so much time on their hands. I don't know how they are still in business - just poor service all around.

This is not mold - it's mildew!!

I wanted only the air ducts cleaned, & found an advert in a local paper for Steam express where they had a coupon for $100 for up to 8 ducts. Almost as soon as David and his team arrived & had a look in the vents, he said that we had black mold & that's where the nightmare started. The cost went from $100 to $2000 to treat the so-called mold which I later found out, wasn't even mold, but mildew (see pic) - quite normal & easier to treat. David was trying to hike up the cost to almost $4000 to get rid of the "black mold". This was not the service, quality & value that I asked for. Very dishonest!! Do not use these guys!

The technician, Chris, rocked it!!! No more icky brown goop, no more soap scum on my tile, and no more stuff on my glass shower door! It literally looks like a new shower! When Julie quoted me the price, I had a little sticker shock. But decided it had to be done, and I'd read their reviews, which were good, so I sucked it up and said, "let's do it". Chris showed up on time. He was super fast! And the job was excellent! If you've got caulk and crap breaking up around your tile, and goopy stuff that just won't come off no matter how hard you clean, call these guys! Seriously! Worth every penny!!!!!

If you need floors polished, they're fine, but I would recommend using anyone else for showers. The owner said everything was fine. I sent him photos and he sent the same person back. They couldn't do anything about mildew, so I cleaned the grout on the floor before they sealed it. Looks like they put black marks on the white tile on the walls while scrubbing, and they didn't clean the grout. Worst part, is it seems like they're trying to do a good job, but not able to achieve it. We we used them 6 years ago we were thrilled with the results, but stay away if you want tile and grout work.

I truly didn't want to write this review, but at this point, it feels like my only option…read more I reached out to Stephen at The Grout Express to resurface the travertine tile and redo the grout in my master bathroom. Our initial communication went smoothly, and I was quoted $1,100 for the job, scheduled to begin on May 29. In hindsight, Stephen did seem a bit pushy about securing a deposit, which should have been a red flag--but I went ahead and paid a $240 deposit via Zelle on May 24. The evening before the scheduled job, I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out to confirm the appointment. Stephen replied with an arrival time, but then messaged me the next morning at 7 AM saying he had Covid and wouldn't be able to start. He offered a refund or the option to reschedule. I chose to receive a refund and asked to be contacted when he was feeling better to reschedule. Unfortunately, it's now June 5, and despite multiple follow-ups and repeated assurances, I still haven't received my refund. I was told it would be returned by 3 PM today--again, nothing. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. I urge anyone considering The Grout Express to be cautious. If a deposit is required, avoid using payment methods like Zelle that offer no protection. Use a credit card so you can dispute the charge if necessary. I trusted this business, and now I'm left chasing a refund for a job that never even began.

After waiting the full recommended time to shower, the grout shrank immediately. He came back under his "warranty," and the exact same thing happened again. From there, it was a full-on ghosting act. He then claims he wants to "contract the work out" instead. When I declined, he responded with 'since you're refusing, I'm not giving a refund.' This "contracting out" excuse was already tried once with the imaginary technician. Now, in a last-ditch effort, he claims I have structural damage, which he and I both know I don't have. I re-grouted the area myself after all this drama... and I'm a rookie! It looks and holds just fine. Bottom line: tile cleaning was good, but the follow-through was a disaster. Steve makes promises, dodges accountability, and fabricates stories. If you're considering The Grout Express, know this: once he's paid, you're on your own.

As many people know, I am hugely involved in the animal rescue community. I foster & rescue animals…read more&I have done so for years. Therefore, if you have animals in your home, & want to keep your home clean & smelling nice, you know, like I do, the importance of using a reputable carpet cleaning company who values their customers. Never in a million years did I think that Upfront Home Service would do me dirty like this after all of our years of working together but I guess that's what happens when a company gets GREEDY. They forget that it is their long time customers who helped them to succeed. Recently, we scheduled a move out carpet cleaning with a few patch repairs. At first, I thought everything was going great until I saw the one patch job. We brought it to the technicians attention & he said that was the absolute best patch that could be done. I didn't agree but waited until it dried. After he left, I went upstairs and noticed that the scent that is usually very pleasant after carpet cleaning was not there but instead the stench of dirty water was present & extremely strong. This was not the norm in past jobs with them so I immediately knew something was not right. I called the office & asked them to send someone over right away to see the job that was done and to smell the odor. I thought Rachel was going to send over a supervisor to check things out the next day but all that came over was a regular technician with a can of deodorizer to mask the odor. I thought they would have redid carpet & fixed the patch but that was not the case. Mind you, my circumstances have never changed during the 9 years I have used Upfront Home Services I have always had animals, & yes, animals have accidents. There was no more or less than the norm. After they cleaned my carpet, the carpet smelt great each time, so they cannot say it was my fault or point fingers. If they had only come out to see for themselves what I was referring to after I asked them to, they would have seen & smelt what I was talking about but they chose not to. A few days after this took place, & after I had a few moments to myself after moving State to State, I wrote an email to the owner, Joseph Pais expressing my concern & instead of reaching out to me personally, he had someone by the name of Daniel Guida call on his behalf. He seemed nice at the time & said he would send someone over to fix. I explained to him that the second visit should have handled this & that we no longer had access to the home. We moved out. I told him we had spent almost $1000 on this work & the least they could do since they didn't fix any of it on second visit was to maybe refund us something. Maybe 15-20 percent of the cost since the job was not done right & no one thought it necessary to stop by next day to see what we were talking about. Well a week later, Daniel did not call me back so I sent a follow up Text to him yesterday. I saw that he read my text but didn't feel he should be professional & reply. I then sent another email to the owner, this morning, & he had the nerve to offer me a refund of $50 & a $300 credit if we ever returned to Texas & needed carpet cleaning. We moved to Florida 2 weeks ago AND WHY DO I NEED TO WAIT TO RETURN TO GET A CREDIT? REFUND ME NOW. THE JOB STILL SUCKS!!!!! If Joseph or Daniel had come to the house, they would have witnessed first hand our complaints & the odor we had after they cleaned it along with the really bad patch job. If our 9 years of business means nothing to them & they insult me by offering me a $50 refund after spending almost $1000 on this past job, then they can keep it. Apparently, they need the money more than I do. Keep this in mind if you need to hire a company to clean your carpet, tile, etc. If my 9 years of business meant absolutely nothing to them, how do you think they will treat you or your home?
