I called ahead of time to get a better understanding of what to wear, and they let me know that clothing would be provided, which made things easy and convenient. The service lasted 60 minutes, and they even provided a remote so I could watch TV during the session, which was a nice touch and helped make the experience feel more relaxed. I did leave with slight bruising on my arm, which I was not expecting, but overall I would be open to giving it another try. I am also interested in trying the sauna next time to see how that complements the experience.

Second, they accept walk ins but it is a lottery with the service you can get. We went three friends and we each had to choose different things because some of the services they only have one machine. I only had the Infrared Sauna without the Red light option so I took it. I was actually looking forward to another service of the EMR mat, but my friend chose that one and ai couldn't. I guess that if you reserve with time it is fine, but still if you go with friends you can't all do it, only the regular Infrared Sauna Rooms. Service was good. So that's why I say I have mixed reviews because the sauna was good but my only option. Parking for me is also a big issue when heading to a place Would have to go again to experience it differently.

Not terrible but cumbersome since you're wrapped in a towel lugging stuff around.

Whatever service you book, you'll regret not adding 30 more minutes. ;) The Healing Room offers many other services including personal training using pilates and Gyrotonic. I've been training with Loni for nearly 3 years through 2 back surgeries. Even more than my regular physical therapy this has improved my strength, balance, and accelerated overall recovery. I'm in better shape than I was in college, and I credit the healers who work at the Healing Room for their contribution.

We when arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes which wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the employees whispering and peaking around the corner at us while we were in the lobby. They put us in a room together which we didn't ask for, like a couples massage, they just assumed. I asked for the masseuse to be more gentle when she started and I'm not sure if she understood me well because she wasn't that gentle. The worst part was the hot stones. They were too hot for the masseuse the handle but they tried to put them on us anyway. We had to have them remove it on our bill because they were too hot to put them on anybody or anything! They even left burn marks on my back. The spa is also covered in dust, the fish tank is disgustingly filthy, and had a musty smell in the rooms. They also refused to give a refund for the horrible service that was provided. The owner and employees will not take responsibility for their actions and inactions (see the owners response below). I have also updated my pictures with timestamps of the burn in question. I still have the mark 2 weeks later and it didn't show up right away, before we left the spa. I am also not from California nor do I live there to have the time to go back. I would never recommend this place.
