Such a cute little spot for anyone craving savory and spicy Asian comfort food. I am here on a rather long business trip and needed a quick dumpling fix. The dumplings are handmade and quite hearty. I also loved the pork belly bowl and when it came out I thought the sauce on top was going to be sweet. Thankfully it was savory! I found Steamboys' Instagram account pre-COVID and planned to check out the Germantown location next time I visited. No luck, but we were close to this one and I was super excited to give it a try. We arrived for an early dinner to avoid a dinner rush. We ordered a beef handmade bao bun and it was amazing! So full of flavor and soft and perfect! Then our beef shank noodles came out and we split that. It was also packed with flavor and the medium spice level was perfect. Our soup dumplings came out last and they were the perfect bites to wrap up our meal. So warm and yum! The staff was super friendly and happy to offer suggestions when we were ordering. Great casual dining set up that is always clean. The soup dumplings take a bit, which they are great about telling you that up front, and are only available dine in. Their soup dumplings are also not quite what i expected from other places I've had them. There was very little liquid, the dumpling didn't hold up at all, and there was a hockey puck like chunk meat. Still tasted good overall. The pork boa was good but seemed like it wasn't exactly fresh. Their noodle soups are great so floating this up from other visits. read more

I loveeee this place!! It is such a great place to go for a quick and easy lunch, and this location is a great place to just sit in to work (although they don't have outlets that I say for charging). The staff is always very nice and the establishment is super clean! They have lots of locations, but this location has some of the best parking. My go-to dishes are the seared bao buns and the hot dumpling bowl! Their chili oil is delicious but VERY spicy, so use with caution!! The boba is always delicious! We had some friends recommend this place. Bottom line, the food is delicious. I had a steamed veggie bao and a seared beef bao. They were great but I think I liked the flavors better in the veggie. We also shared a cabbage and pork dumpling. 6 came in the order and they were also really good. So why a 4 not a 5? We never got our drinks. They ended up refunding us for those. Enjoyed lunch at Steamboys. I placed my order for a bowl of beef shank noodle soup and a pork bao bun, per the recommendations from other Yelpers on this page. The bao bun came out first, and it was my favorite of the two. Delicious! A yummy little pork meatball surrounded by a pillowy cloud of soft bread. I really enjoyed it. Then the soup came out. Since I'm a spice wimp, I ordered mine with mild spice, but it was enough of a kick for me. More than plenty noodles, spicy broth, and plenty of beef. The bowl was so big I couldn't finish it all. Yelp Big Night In Pt2 is off to a great start! I've been wanting to try Steam Boys pretty much since I moved to Nashville. Their Hermitage location just reopened for curbside/pickup service and I couldn't be happier! We basically ordered everything; cabbage and pork steamed bao buns, seared pork and shrimp bao buns, beef shank noodle soup, hot dumpling bowl, and pork dumplings. Here's the deal, it was all delicious, but my favorites were the hot dumpling bowl and the steamed pork bao. The steamed the pork bao was huge! About the size of a softball and packed with cabbage. The bao it self was light, pillowy and hit all the right mouth feels. The hot dumpling bowl was fantastic, great texture with of these dumplings, but watch out... these are very spicy! Honorable mention goes to the beef shank soup. The broth was drinkable and the beef was super tender. I wasn't super fan of the seared bao, it was pretty chewy and the stuffing squirted out when I bit into it. Beyond that one hiccup, everything was delish and I can't wait until they open up for dine in options! read more

Beef noodle soup (extra spicy) was quite tasty. Service was fine--considering you order at the counter, and they just bring it out to you. My overall pleasant experience was diminished by the gross sticky tables. Where ever I moved, the tables were all sticky as if the same dirty towel was used to wipe them all down. Also, the sink in the restroom had a severely drippy faucet. How insensitive for our environment!! I'm not sure if I would return here. Those sticky tables really turned me off.
