We needed a move-out cleaning for two carpeted rooms, and Steamer Pros offered a good price and quick availability. I also like supporting small family businesses. Raymond also took an interest in my tile floors, which I had questions about. My burning question about the tiles: Are they dirty or just ugly? (first pic) They are textured tiles in varying shades of cream and gray and brown, with a "burnt" look around the edges (like old parchment). They have been mopped and scrubbed with abrasive cleansers over the years, but they always look dirty, so I had pretty much given up on them ever looking more "cream" than "brownish-gray". However, a recent encounter with an acidic cleaner made me think there might be some hope after all. But I wasn't looking forward to the "square by square" effort. So when Raymond came for the carpets, I showed him a few tiles I had put a lot of elbow grease into and, after discussing, I decided to let him have a try at it with his chemicals and his dirt-sucking machine. Well, color me impressed!! Those ugly tiles came out amazing!! My partner commented that they look as good as when they were first installed -- 30 years ago!! The second photo shows the work in progress. This is an area that gets very little traffic due to furniture placement, and the tiles in the background near the wall demonstrate what I consider to be about the best these tiles could possibly look. They were not yet mopped after a long tenancy, but I was not expecting them to look much better based on previous mopping and scrubbing experience. In the foreground of the picture, you can see the effects of the chemicals and the dirt-sucker. What I thought were gray/beige variations in the tile color -- that I could not budge with cleaning and scrubbing -- almost entirely disappeared. They are almost completely cream-colored now, with just a touch of the "burnt" color around the edges which seems to be the original color. I still don't like the tile and would not choose it, especially for a rental...but what a massive difference in appearance for the whole house! And I opted to have it sealed in hopes of avoiding it getting this bad again. Oh, and yes...the carpets came out wonderfully! Raymond was able to get some spots out that we thought would never come up. There was one really bad area that he informed me would never get fully clean, but it still looks ten times better than it did before. --- It has now been about a month since I wrote this review (and failed to post it due to photo upload issues and busy-ness). Meanwhile, our new tenant mentioned that the carpet smells bad in one particular area, and I knew this was probably due to pets -- it was something Raymond and I had discussed at the time of the original cleaning. Raymond came out within a HALF-HOUR of our phone call to apply a treatment, and he provided the tenants with instructions for the next 24 hours. If this doesn't work, he has a deeper treatment for the pad below, which is separate and will cost a bit more, but that is not unexpected. What WAS unexpected was that Raymond responded so quickly and did not charge to come out a second time to work on the areas that he had already told me might not be fully cleaned with standard carpet methods. I am very happy with their services. They are very professional and have excellent customer service. They will give you an estimate first based on the information you give them and will adjust it once they see the actual size of the rooms they are cleaning. My estimate was for $360 for 3 bedrooms and the living room but when the guy came over it was actually $500 because we have pets and agreed for them to treat the carpet for the urine odors.
