This be 6 for $9. You can mix flavors. Also 10 for $13.

Okay, two things: 1. When I hear "dumplings" these days, I think soup dumplings - you know, those things you pop in your mouth & test your manhood. This place is doing what I always call gyoza. Some say potstickers. Perhaps it's just a cultural thing. 2. And Steamies has two business listings, one each for the Lakeline and Mueller Farmer's Markets. I'm inclined to think it's the same family doing the same stuff, but I could be wrong. I'm not familiar with the Mueller Steamies. But what I do know is you have a happy family here apparently crimping a whole lot of gyoza on weekdays, then freezing them to sell by the bag and pan fry them on weekends. Cool. There's a variety of fillings, and I thought the lemongrass one was clever. They let me mix different flavors in my order. And while I know nothing about making authentic soup dumplings, I've been making gyoza pretty much all my life - I'm first with bonus stars here for the time & effort this family must be putting in. Spend the ten bucks & ten-minute wait for a decent hot app while you're shopping either market, and then maybe take a bag or two home & and cook for the group. You can quietly sigh about all the prep involved as you unveil them at presentation. Some of your friends should be genuinely impressed.

10 piece dumplings: chicken, pork, and vegan. DELICIOUS!

The vibe is modern: very bright, well lit, with the lion statues in the front, tea pots on the walls and clean spaces. The nice thing is you can order dim sum even when the push carts aren't going, which I personally think is better since it's fresh. My wife felt like she had a ratatouille type moment when she bit into the sesame balls and the deep fried mince turnover. I personally thought while the dim sum had a good fry, it was about average on the flavor and texture, but like I said, some others in our group thought it was excellent. On the other hand, the main entrees, I thought were stellar. The Sichuan green beans (despite this not being a Sichuan shop) were the best rendition of the dish of anywhere I've had in town - very good fry on the green beans with smoky wok hei, well seasoned with the pickled veg too. When your five year old opts to eat just this and rice, you know you got something special on your hand. The seafood fried noodle is also very good - tender squid, shrimp and veggies in the crunchy noodle nest is a great contrast in texture, as well as a lesson in simplicity. The peking pork ribs are also incredible - saucy, not overly sweet sauce clings to the riblets and gives you something incredible to gnaw on. I prefer it in pork chop form, but this is stellar as I think I've only had this one other place that was even remotely close. All in all, great place for Canto food in a town that doesn't have enough of it.

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Austin for Asian food and soup dumplings…read more Definitely need to make a reservation because this place is small and always packed. When you arrive, everybody is so nice you give them your name and they get you seated right away. I ordered a drink called a signature tingling Daisy and it was so good. I definitely could've had so many but I was driving so you gotta pace yourself. We started off with the soup dumplings, which are just phenomenal. It's a must when you go. Also, for appetizers, we got the spicy cucumbers which were divine and a hot and sour soup, which was perfectly balanced and not watery. We also got a beef fried rice and let me tell you that rice is so soft and delicious. You literally dream about it the next day. I also got the pecking duck which is delicious there the skin is nice and crispy and the meat on it taste so good. We also got the Kung pow shrimp with cashews, which was delicious and the pieces of shrimp were gigantic. We also got the green beans which is were delicious. I love ordering green beans when they're cooked just like the ones I posted in the photo. Then for dessert, we got the chocolate mousse which is that little dog cake. I know it's so cute and they made it a little hard to eat because you feel bad in a weird sense. It was delicious now I will say when cutting it and realizing the inside had a raspberry filling, made it a little more crazy cause it looked like blood, but it was still so good. This place is definitely an awesome staple and a must visit when you're in town or just always go and have food there whether it's date night or friends catching up or anything in general even on your own.

Ordering is still done with the QR code so we had one person order all the food and then we split the bill afterwards. You have to pay first before the order gets sent to the kitchen. The service has improved slightly, with us being so close to the kitchen. We were able to flag down servers to help us get an extra plate, tea cups, etc. Got a variety of dim sum classics: hargow (shrimp dumpling), siu mai, rice noodles, custard buns, chicken feet, chow fun, egg tarts, soy sauce noodles, charsiu bao, turnip cake My favorites are the siu mai, chow fun and custard buns! They also have non-traditional dim sum dishes such as soup dumplings, which actually originated from Shanghai. We got them and they were ok. We ordered a second time to get more custard buns but it seemed they ran out so it took some time for them to make them fresh. When they finally came, the buns were not smooth and it really looks like the custard was about to burst. Someone bit into theirs and the custard exploded onto their shirt. However, we all had a good laugh and still enjoyed the food. Have to have tea during dim sum so we also got our puer and chrysanthemum tea mix. Not sure if they usually charge for this, but we got it complimentary! Yay! If you are familiar with dim sum, then you know these are smaller dishes meant to be shared among the group! Everybody ate and was satisfied. Each person paid about $25 after tip! There's a designated parking lot with lots of spots. If you are looking for a dim sum spot that is not too busy, this is the place to go to!

Did not have a reservation on this occasion, but they always make me feel welcome and manage to fit us in. Sat on the outdoor covered patio that was cool and shaded. Started the meal with cocktails including Lycheetini with Deep Eddy Vodka, Giffard Lichi-li. lemon, cranberry, I cut the cranberry. Also had a Fresa Paloma with Socorro Reposado Tequila, Contratto, strawberry, lime, grapefruit, five-spice that was very sweet and garnished with a flower. You are given a card where you can mark your dim sum selections. I ordered the Shrimp Pancake, Snow Crab Ball and Chinese Sausage Sticky Rice. The standout was the shrimp pancake that had a really great texture and flavor. The snow crab ball had a strange texture with shrimp surrounding the snow crab claw. The Chinese Sticky Rice is always a favorite. Also ordered the Truffle Egg Fried rice and Birds Nest with Seasonal Vegetable. The Truffle rice is so flavorful like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Birds Nest is made with fried potato shreds which contain the a variety of vegetables including cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. The nest is also edible and has a crunchy texture. The presentation of the food is amazing and everything came out hot and fresh. The flavors were on point, and you can tell there's attention to detail in the preparation. Service was attentive outdoors and the pacing of dishes felt just right for a relaxed brunch. This restaurant is truly a gem whether you come for brunch or dinner service. Will definitely be back.

The flavors were spot on and delicious. The only challenge we had was that they would not allow split checks or at least partially split checks - so we spend a huge amount of time figuring out what everyone owed. I wouldn't do a large group here in the future, but I'd definitely come back for a date or small group.

Chef Ling is a brilliant and personable chef who treats her chefs and staff like family. Several different chefs prepared each course, and the presentation was well beyond what we expected, both visually stunning and thoughtfully composed. From the moment we walked into Ling Kitchen, the energy felt warm and intentional. The space is intimate without feeling cramped, and you immediately sense that you are about to be part of something special rather than just another dinner reservation. Chef Ling personally welcomed guests, shared the story behind the menu, and checked in throughout the evening in a way that felt genuine and never forced. Each course built on the last, with a clear progression of flavors and textures. The fish was impeccably fresh, the knife work precise, and the seasoning balanced to highlight the natural ingredients rather than overpower them. You could see the coordination among the team as different chefs stepped forward to prepare and present their dishes. It truly felt collaborative, like a small culinary orchestra. What stood out most was the creativity. Traditional techniques were honored, but there were subtle twists and unexpected combinations that kept us curious and engaged. Every plate was composed like art. The pacing was perfect, allowing time to savor each bite and appreciate the craftsmanship. Beyond the food, the hospitality elevated the entire experience. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly proud to be part of the team. That family atmosphere Chef Ling fosters is palpable and makes the evening feel personal. If you are in Austin and looking for a memorable omakase that rivals experiences in much larger food cities, Ling Kitchen is a must. This is not just dinner, it is a curated, immersive experience. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Ling!!! You are truly one of a kind!

None of the dishes had any real flavor innovations past the traditional taste. You would be able to get a larger version of most dishes, with similar quality in Houston for $20. Thanks to reviews from fellow Yelpers like Steve W. and Samuel C., I felt confident suggesting Ling Wu to my friends and my girlfriend. I made a reservation for that Wednesday night at 7:00 pm, and by the time we arrived, the place was absolutely packed. There was a line of people waiting to be seated. I don't know if they were walk-ins or also had reservations, but thanks to ours, we were sat immediately with ease. I definitely recommend making a reservation. The interior of the building is beautiful, as is the patio with string lights and shrubbery. We sat inside, and the lowly lit atmosphere was excellent. All of the decor really makes the space feel cozy. Water is served in little mugs, and a paper mat is placed on the table because they know Austinites are messy. We all ordered drinks. Two people got a Kirin Light, one got a cocktail, and I ordered their mocktail Spritz. We also shared an appetizer of the Szechuan Spicy Cucumber, which arrived as an incredible tower of cucumber that was both fantastic and delicious. I lowkey ate half of the tower. My girlfriend ordered their soup dumplings, which were pretty good. Soup dumplings are not really my personal style, but everyone else at the table loved them. I was most excited for my entrée. I ordered the Orange Peel Akashi Beef with a side of brown rice, and honestly, it is some of the best Asian cuisine I've ever had. I've seen reviews complaining about the price point, but you can't compare a wagyu steak to Texas Roadhouse, and you can't compare a sit-down Asian restaurant to a Chinese buffet. This is clearly a step above. You don't have to fully dress the part, but this is practically fine dining. Top tier service, top tier atmosphere, and top tier food. This isn't a casual noodle shop, buddy. Overall, it's an excellent experience and definitely worth the steeper price tag. I recommend Ling Wu if you understand that sometimes you have to pay more for a higher quality meal. If you're not that type of person, grow up, because you're missing out on some of the best Asian food Austin has to offer. RIYL: A great meal with a great atmosphere
