I've stayed at Nantasket Beach Resort at least twice a year for the past 15 years, and it has…read morebecome one of my favorite places to relax. My experience has been consistently positive, which is why I wanted to provide some balance after reading a few reviews that I don't believe reflect the overall experience. The biggest draw is, of course, the location. The oceanfront rooms are wonderful, and waking up to the sound and view of the Atlantic never gets old. I was especially happy to see that there is now an excellent restaurant on the first floor (independently owned, not operated by the resort). It's a great addition for dinner. I also highly recommend The Parrot for lunch or dinner and The Saltwater Diner for breakfast. We've returned to both many times and have never been disappointed. Hull itself isn't a destination with endless attractions, but that's exactly why I go. If you're looking for a peaceful beach getaway, it's perfect. If you're traveling with children under about 10 years old for several days, however, they may run out of things to do beyond the beach. My grandchildren love swimming, but after a few hours they're ready for other activities, so we will wait until they're older before bringing them for an overnight stay. Over the years, I've never had problems with the front desk, the cleanliness of the rooms, or parking. On one visit, our air conditioning stopped working, but maintenance repaired it the very same day. The staff also immediately offered to move us to another room if we preferred not to wait, which I thought was excellent customer service. I've noticed some complaints about parking. The covered parking is reserved for condominium owners, and it's clearly marked as such. Resort guests use the designated outdoor parking area. In all my years of visiting, I've always found a parking space without difficulty. I've also seen just a few complaints about the indoor pool. Personally, I can't imagine choosing an indoor pool when one of New England's most beautiful beaches is just steps away. The beach and ocean are the reasons we come. After 15 years of annual visits, I continue to recommend Nantasket Beach Resort without hesitation. For anyone looking for a relaxing oceanfront getaway with comfortable accommodations and friendly service, it has been a wonderful choice for us year after year.

We went up to our rooms, absolutely no ventilation. No AC, and the lobby only had box fans. There was hair all over the floor of the room by the beds, up against the floorboard, and inside the shower. The staff was nice until we expressed our reasoning for not wanting to stay. I was left with eye rolls, and monotone attitudes. I kept being asked why we do not want to stay, just for a nasty glare in return, only to be asked the same question 3 more times still being met with unfriendly looks. I asked for proof of a refund once she said she "processed" it. Turns out she did not process it because she needed to ask the manager how to even go about doing it. So who knows if I would have gotten my money back if I hadn't asked for the confirmation. Do not stay here.

When we first went up the stairs to get to our room, it smelled like urine and had a bad musty smell. The other rooms seem to have been occupied by permanent residence. Also on the way to our room we smelled a strong smell of marijuana. Get to our room and the smell just smacks you in the face. It was dingy and musty. Was a 3 bedroom, so there was an extra room towards the back with a king size bed. In that room there was no TV but a tv stand, the night stand had no drawers and a drawer was missing from the tv stand. The other beds were bother the same size but one was higher than the other. The phone did not work, Mold on the curtains, gum stuck to the carpet, comforter looks like it hasn't been washed in years. I figured we get some air freshener, keep our socks on & take off the comforter and sleep on top of the sheet, because it seemed pretty clean. I also figured because we wasn't going to be in the room most of the time, we will be ok. Boy was I wrong again!! I should have ran, when I first smelled the hallway to my room. Anyways, my family went out to a movie, got back later that night. The boys (3 teenagers) were sitting on the bed when ants started crawling on their shoes. At this point I decided I was going to check out in the a.m and find new hotel. I call the front desk to tell them about the ants. They sent someone up, to spray along the walls. I tell my family as soon as we wake up we are leaving. So as everyone is sleeping, at about 2am I start feeling like I'm being bitten by mosquitos. I jump up, wake up my husband, we pull the sheets back, and lord and behold a bed bug in plain sight, crawling on the sheets. With about 8 bites all over my back and arm, I couldn't stop itching. I immediately called and made another reservation for a different hotel but could check in until after 2pm. My husband ran out to the nearest 24hr CVS to buy anti itch cream and bed bug spray so that we can spray out belongings. Needless to say, I got no rest because I stayed up from 2am to 7:30am freaked out. DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT! STAY HERE!!

It also appears that there are people living here on a somewhat permanent basis, which I would assume is courtesy of the United States government. The hot tub was a nice touch, but it's probably only there so they can dissect bodies without making a mess.

A relaxing getaway in the South Boston…read more After a trip to Montreal and NYC, we were seeking a little solitude from our typical trip to Boston. In most cases, we would stay in the heart of the city. This is a great side trip outside of summer, when the rates are great and you don't want to go as far out as Cape Cod. This trip took us from plane to city, from train to boat, from taxi to city and from car to village. In Hull, we were 30 minutes or less from everything we needed to access; Plymouth (the rock), Milton (the grand babes) and the towns of Cohasset and Hingham (for coffee, food, and shopping). The owner of the Beacon Luxury Waterfront Inn greeted us, as we arrived before dark, with easy upfront parking. Into the Atlantic suite, with water views (and although fall, the weather was temperate, not hot, but not too cold yet). We selected this room, as it was on the corner with water views. The suite itself was huge with a private bath, jacuzzi tub, fireplace and I must admit they were both used nightly to not only to slow down from all the traveling but also after sightseeing, outings and spending time with family. Each morning a simple continental breakfast is served. This is probably the thing we liked the least, but we knew what to expect. We prefer a bed and breakfast with a full breakfast, but we did enjoy our room and slept comfortably with the amenities available. If anything, not being food focused got us going earlier in the morning for a new adventure. I highly recommend stepping outside the city sometime and exploring the smaller places. This is what makes New England so charming. #OutsideBoston #Hull #TheBeaconLuxuryWaterfrontInn #NewEngland

This luxury bed & breakfast was absolutely amazing!! The owner greeted us upon our early arrival. She was so adorable, polite, and warm welcoming. She even allowed us to check in 1hr early. Also Heather did an outstanding job with cleaning the suite for check-in ready. I suffer from obsessive control disorders. The way Heather cleaned the suite actually helped me cope with my disorder. The entire suite passed my white glove cleanliness ritual. The smell was so delightful. It was almost like smelling fresh air inside lol. This place was so calming & relaxing. I didn't want my little getaway stay to end. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10.
