Four stars, and really could be a five if a few things are addressed…read more First, let's just get this out of the way: Metro Boston (including Plymouth) is expensive as far as hotel/accommodations go. That $70-100 a night hotel you stay at in most of the country likely doesn't exist here. And if it does, it usually has the word "bed bug" or "cockroach" somewhere in the Yelp review. Based on my research, the Best Western Plus is the best bang for your buck. You get a reasonably nice room with all the typical hotel chain amenities you expect. It is less than a mile from two of the main strips along Court/Main, and it is a mile away from Plymouth Rock. The drain on the bathroom sink isn't very intuitive (you have to push it in and down and not just turn a nob or anything like that) but beside that, all of the knobs, light switches, etc... make sense. There is a good amount of outlets throughout the room. Room was relatively clean, but a couple of stains along the carpet could be addressed at some point with a deep cleaning. Wi-Fi speed is really slow but I doubt Plymouth is known for its Internet speeds. If you have a decent data connection on your phone, you'll probably be using that more. +1 star for solar panels being installed. Decent hotel. Close enough to the sites of Plymouth while not having to deal with the typical tourist traps.

This hotel is my favorite in Plymouth. The rooms are huge and well decorated and appointed. Breakfast was better than your standard "continental" and parking is typically available right outside your room. I moved from Plymouth over 5 years ago, and stay in town about twice a year, and I'm truly disappointed in myself for not staying here sooner. No ocean view, but short walk (4 minutes)to Nelson Beach. About 15-20 minutes to walk to Mayflower and Rock if you don't get distracted by the pubs and gift shops! Pharmacy with food and beach stuff directly across the street. Pioppis liquor store across the street is ENORMOUS. They have everything. The Cold Spring hotel is a perfect location.

It genuinely saddens me to write this. As a former local who supported this hotel for weddings and…read morepast visits, I am appalled by management's complete lack of ethics. During a terminal family medical crisis, the front desk explicitly instructed us to cancel first and "work it out with the GM" for a refund. Relying entirely on their guidance, I canceled. Had they been upfront about a strict no-refund policy, I would have kept the active reservation so family could utilize the room. Instead, the moment the room was back in their inventory, the GM, Lynda, denied any resolution. To make matters worse, the GM emailed telling me to refrain from calling because her staff has "other responsibilities," even though I had only called a single time to seek clarity. Her own staff had explicitly prompted my mother to tell me to cancel while I was traveling home and unable to call myself. Dismissing customers for simply following her team's directives is a complete failure of customer service and a glaring reflection of her poor leadership. Because over a third of their 29 rooms sat vacant, the hotel suffered absolutely no financial loss from my cancellation. This was pure opportunism during an already difficult time.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding block, where the bride and groom had reserved over 30…read morerooms at roughly $500 each -- so our group brought significant business to the property. Unfortunately, the experience didn't reflect that at all. The biggest issue started at check-in. The bride herself was left standing in the parking lot with all of her belongings because staff would not allow early check-in -- even by a small margin. One employee had told us 3:00 PM would be okay, but when we arrived, we were turned away and told to wait until exactly 4:00 PM. There was no flexibility or effort to accommodate the bride, even just to let her store her things inside, which felt pretty disappointing given the circumstances. Later that evening, the lack of understanding continued. The majority of guests at the hotel were there for the same wedding, yet staff enforced quiet hours at 10:00 PM very aggressively. A small group of us (about seven people) were simply sitting in a room listening to music at a reasonable level, and we were immediately warned that the police would be called if we didn't disperse. It felt excessive, especially considering nearly the entire hotel was part of the same event. Overall, while the property itself may be nice, the service and rigidity of the policies made the experience frustrating. A little flexibility and awareness -- especially for a large group event like a wedding -- would have gone a long way.

We had a bedroom area with a king sized bed, a TV, a foyer, a living room with a wet bar and a TV, two chairs and a sofa, a smaller but full bath in that room. We had some family staying in the hotel also and I am sad to report that their accommodations were not as nice as ours. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Had a wide variety to choose from and the area was kept very clean. I would recommend staying in room 300 or one of their "newly renovated rooms." ( or so we have been told ) Demerits = Some of my family thought they were getting a king-size beds, but they looked more like doubles. No magnifying or any type of makeup mirror, and the weird water stain in the extra bathroom, I am taking away a star. I would give it 3 1/2.
