First off we really wanted to like this place. It's a very quaint family owned business that has decent service. The food, however, was not what we expected. I had a traditional linguini carbonara. They served it with a fried egg on top. Really? Never seen that before. We had also expected pancetta (Italian bacon). Nope, they used regular bacon. Wife had the eggplant parmigiana. Which had very little flavor. When we request Parmigiano cheese it appeared that gave use what looked like the Italian cheese from Kraft. Ugh. Crazy part the cheese on the Ceasar salads was good Parmigiano. Not sure we will return. The 3 stars are mostly for the service. read more

Dinner for 4 on a Saturday night. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Three different entrees were each excellent. I enjoyed the Shrimp Victoria, Sangria and Lemon cake. The outdoor table was nice with heater to keep us warm on chilly night. Server was excellent. read more

So right off the bat my wife and I could tell this was going to be a fun place, it's very aesthetic with inside with an eclectic but quaint style. It's very small though and on a busy night it would be a hassle to get in/out. I'm sort of writing this live and when the food arrives I'll adjust the rating as we experience things. But for now, I also need to note that we were greeted by I'm assuming the owner sitting at the little bar up front with a customer/friend and all of the servers were outside doing who knows what. It's very slow tonight though so it's kind of understandable. First course: Caesar salad. Very good, the dressing has a good tang to it and it's a good amount for the salad. Croutons are homemade, and could possibly be toasted a little more, but are seasoned beautifully. Next: Fiocci(?) pear and ricotta ravioli things. AMAZING. Not too sweet, and the pear/ricotta pair is delicious. And the sauce only helps to tie it all together. Now the entries, wife got linguine Alfredo and I got chicken Marsala. Chicken Marsala: so I'm not the greatest judge of this dish as I've not tried it a lot but what I got was pretty good. The sauce had somewhat of a sweetness to it which was odd and the pasta seemed just a tad under done but all in all it was good. Linguine Alfredo: this dish made me feel like I made the wrong choice. The sauce was perfect, had a very good flavor and was well made. The pasta cooked to just the right firmness. I'd order this again and as my wife said, "this tastes better the more you eat it." Dessert we have their piccolo cannoli and the tiramisu. Cannoli: Since it was 'piccolo' it was small but it was delicious. The essence of almond and vanilla cane through wonderfully and the shell was perfectly crisp. Tiramisu: This, again, made me feel like I made the wrong choice. The mascarpone cream, the cocoa sprinkled on top, the lady fingers, all of it perfect. And it was even just big enough to split with my wife. All in all this was a good experience. I'd definitely try this again but perhaps make some different choices. read more

I can't believe we have never been here before! Sooooo delicious! We were looking for a new place for dinner, and knew our Yelp diners would help us out. The reviews were complimentary, and the photos were making me hungry! We walked into this funky little grandma's basement kitschy place. It has mismatched curtain, plastic fruit lamps, random framed art, and a warm cozy 'mi familia' feeling. For appetizer, we ordered the pear and ricotta sacchettini, in a light cream sauce..... yumm! Warm bread and dipping oil arrived in a crystal plate exactly like I have at home... from my Grandma! My husband had the veal parmigiana, which you could cut with a fork. I had the linguini with mussels in scampi sauce. Very generous portions, and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. I couldn't pass up the tiramisu, but was too full so, had our server box it up to go home. From start to finish, appetizer to dessert, ambiance to wait staff... it was great! Called to see what they had for reservations outside, it was so windy they closed the outside blinds down . It was awesome . Celebrated Mother's Day and my 65th Birthday outside with my family perfect social distancing. The food was delicious but of course the grandkids filled up on the bread and oil dip. After the salads the kids were full but managed to eat the homemade Mac cheese and spaghetti with meatballs I had veal Marsala my go too. It is definitely the tenderest veal I've had in Florida. Inside the bill was a red card stating there is a 3.5% service fee on credit card charges, if your business is struggling after Covid-19, alienating your regular customers is poor. We finally tried the local, for us, Italian restaurant, Stephano's, and we're pleased with the meal. My wife had the black grouper with a mild lemon sauce. It was cooked perfectly and had a very nice flavor. I went with my Italian standard-veal parmigiana-and it was good, but not great. The veal was tender but their substitution of mozzarella for parmigiana cheese cost the dish the subtle zing that helps make it a winner. The house salad was good and the bread was freshly baked, so they were winners. We each had a glass of wine and finished with a piece of lemongelo (?) cake, which was very good. Tax, rip and title totaled $90, so it was a little pricey, but worth it. Like the Terminator, I'll be back. read more

This is a fantastic mom-and-pop Italian restaurant. Their calamari was fantastic. The Eggplant parm was crispy on the outside, and firm and delicious on the inside. The only neg was my side pasta was slightly undercooked. Highly recommend! Note: They use an old-school cash register when cashing you out. The server subtotaled out apps, but the didn't add it to our bill. My dad noticed, and Notified the server they were undercharging us. They gave us free Cannolis for our honesty! Brings back every memory of a perfect classic. We had such a nice variety of dishes, each of our large party ordering a different dish, and all of us sharing bites, followed by "Mmmmmmm!" We were all so stuffed after our meals, yet we somehow were able to share a slice of lemoncello cake. Oh so good! If I had one wish... I'd love an after dinner Sambuca to seal the deal. just now Late yesterday afternoon I took my family of six to dine in the restaurant. Late last night and into today 5 of us are violently sick all at the same time. We all shared appetizers. The salad were all obviously prepared the day before and you could tell they had been stored for later delivery to the customer, onions included. Onions being one of the largest culprits of food born illness. Dinners were served. I could have made box pasta at home for way cheaper! All the plates was over done and mushy. GIANT WASTE OF $122. My advice just stay home and avoid getting sick! A Call already placed to the Seminole Health dept. We have all of our food we couldn't eat in to go boxes to give them for research. read more

Went for the first time tonight. We live 5 minutes away and have always wanted to try it! It was our anniversary so why not! Cute little place. Very eclectic. Mismatched plates, glasses etc...cute! The bread was hot and crunchy! Good oil and herbs for dipping. We started with the finnochi Catherine? Appetizer. OMG! Little purses of heaven in a divine sauce!! Could have eaten 10 orders! Salads were good. Needed more dressing. I had chicken parm and loved it! The chicken was tender, sauce good, and the linguini tasted homemade. Hubby had spaghetti and meatballs and loved it. Meatballs were very tender. Needed more sauce and would ask ahead next time. Split a cannoli as we were stuffed. Yummy! All in all very good. Service was good! Took 1.5 hours for dinner. This Italian restaurant is honestly the best I've ever had. Yesterday evening, 14 of us were having dinner to celebrate a 16th birthday and they were able to accommodate us even though we didn't have a reservation. Our waiter's name was Jonas and he was unbelievably amazing! With all 14 of us, we were able to order food, ask for great recommendations, and still have a sweet waiter who isn't annoyed by the size of our party and multiple requests. I had caesar salad and the Fiocchi di Ashley. Both were very tasty fresh and as leftovers. Everyone at our table enjoyed their appetizers and entrees. We also brought in a cake which Jonas kindly asked to put in the fridge when we arrived. Towards the end when we asked for to-go boxes, Jonas packed the food for us and left personal notes on them such as "16. Happy B-Day" and "Protect the Pride" (a lion-themed note). He also cleared our table and set up small plates so we could serve the cake. Jonas then brought out the cake, lit with candles, and started off the Birthday Song. It was a very special event. Jonas was just such a great waiter, we even offered him a slice of cake which he gladly took and enjoyed. Honestly I would go back again. Best. Experience. Ever. read more
