If you make appointments ahead of time and that appointment is accepted they may cancel on you then except you to booked another appointment as far out as a month or book after hours at a higher cost!!! I was not even the one who canceled it was the owner who canceled my appointment I had with him. This is our second visit where I brought my 6 year old son for a cut. I found this shop on yelp and the reviews looked good so I gave it a try. Walking in I was a little nervous if it would be kid friendly enough. It's all men of course and has plenty of barbershop banter. When you walk all the guys are welcoming and friendly. Never did I feel it was inappropriate or Our first visit was with Stefo. We did a quick consultation and discussed what I wanted for my son. He took his time perfecting his look. Never did he rush through the appointment like some people do when they have kid cuts. He spent just as much time and detail on my son as he did the rest of the guys. Today was our second visit and while Stefo was booked, we went Quad. My son cut his own hair last night and while i desperately wanted to shave his head, I knew I should wait to bring him in. Booked with Quad and am So grateful he fixed my sons hair. Not only did he make him look like a little gentlemen, he also put him to SLEEP! Lol I guess that just goes to show he's a master at his trade if he can put an ASD/ADHD kiddo to sleep with his calm nature. I chose this barber shop because it was very near where I lived. The haircut was great, but unfortunately my experience was marred by very negative and uneducated social commentary regarding the LGBTQ+ community. They have a Pride flag in their window, so I thought I would feel comfortable in their place of business. My last experience was listening to commentary from one of the barbers (though not the one cutting my hair) accusing "gays" of spreading the "monkeypox" virus. There were also negative opinions of LGBTQ, specifically gay men, raising children and influencing them to "become gay". I wish I could leave a better review because there is some talent at that shop, but I no longer feel comfortable going into a place of business where I feel like I have to hide who I am. read more

My partner and I are well known established QUEER hairstylist & barber/ - shop owners in the Seattle area but reside in the Edmonds community. We drive past Stefo's Barbershop daily. But what we witnessed last night was so gut-wrenching that we had a moral obligation not only to our community but to our industry to show up! First of all the fact that we are living in a pandemic with restrictions at 25% this small barbershop had 4 barbers with NO MASKS. Three of those barbers had actual clients in their chairs also with NO MASKS ON! With a total of SEVEN men with NO masks. This makes me believe that these individuals feel that their bro culture will save them from Covid. But unfortunately, that's not even the worst of it. After walking up to the storefront to witness this nonsense first hand, we proceeded to film to be able to share this saddening view with the community. After doing so, the owner came out the door to confront us and with us letting him know our concerns, then responded by telling my partner to mind his own business and called him a faggot! This is unacceptable! This barbershop showed their true colors and they are not rainbow! Yet they have a pride flag in their window. What does this show, their performative allyship is garbage and we see YOU!!!!!!!!!!! And let's not forget the fact that he said those words out for the public ears to hear which sent another fellow LGBTQ+ person to bang on his door to show real allyship and let him know that those words are not to be used. EVER. PERIOD! This barbershop is not safe. For queer folks or any human being who is here to be a good person and do good in this world. Came in on February 26th They had a movie playing @ full blast volume which was a pure nuisance. When he asked what kind of cut I want an as I told him He could of barely here me due to the TV FULL BLAST! Decided that I needed a hair cut last minute on Saturday (8/25/18). Since we just moved I took to Yelp to find a good barbershop close to the new house and came across Stefos. Based on the reviews and location to my place, I decided to try and grab an appointment for the later the same day. I ended up being able to book my appointment easily on their website, and snagged a 2:00 with Stefo himself. Let me tell you, this was the best haircut I've had in Seattle! Stefo definitely knows what he's doing, and it's obvious that he cares for both the art of barbering, AND giving customers a top notch experience. I'll absolutely be back, and I'll be sending my friends as well! read more

Amazing atmosphere from the original graffiti art work on the walls to barber talk interactions while still keeping it family friendly. I went to Omar myself, who did a spectacular job, but all the barbers in there were defiantly doing there thing and can hold there own for sure. Each time I called their mailbox was full, Each time I called to book an appointment with Glenn he wasn't at work and the other guy couldn't or wouldn't book an appointment for the other guy. I looked on their website and also on Yelp and nowhere does it say it's CASH ONLY but they have a cash machine on premises- one of those that charges you like $3 to get cash. Hmmm.... I strictly came here for an easy haircut and a Seahawk cut for Super Bowl festivities but I'm sorry to say this was probably the worst haircut I've ever received in my entire life. Firstly, Glenn was very inattentive- he was on the phone with his baby mama or his kid almost the entire time of my cut. Had he been concentrating on my hair- he'd have noticed how uneven and choppy it was on the sides and top.. Went to Stefos for the first time after researching the U-District/North Seattle area for a NEW place to get and they did not disappoint! This is the FIRST place I've gone to where I requested a bald fade (as bald as they can get) without having to ask them if they were gonna use a straight razor. Some places stop at the electric shaver. Jess, she hooked me up real nice with my cut and while I was in there I saw Stefo and Quad clean and on point with the cuts they were giving! Was new to the area and this place had good reviews, so i decided to try the place out. My hair came out half decent & I was very surprised they charged me 25$ for a hair cut that wasnt worth 5bucks. After I went home and showered i noticed my line up was uneven, my side burns were totally different and the back of my head had a huge chunk missing. Never going here again!! Came in due to the high rating but left disappointed. Went in to fade the sides and trim my faux hawk. I asked to have as little hair as possible taken off the top, and for the back to taper down into a point. I think the barbers name was Quan? - big black dude. He seemed to understand, but then did nothing that I asked for. Left with almost no hair except for a two inch mullet that was cut straight across, not into a point. Went from about 3 inches on top to under 1 inch, and shaved off my widows peak with a straight razor. Probably the worst haircut I've ever had. For real! Reason for 3 stars is the cool environment, laughs, and the fact that he wouldn't accept any money from me after realizing that I didn't get anything near what I'd asked for.
