Love this place!! I was going to another place on the island, but it was a nightmare to try and get an appointment for an eyebrow wax. The ladies here are super nice, and don't make you feel like a complete weirdo when you're new. They don't always answer the phone if they are busy, but if you leave a message they always return your call. Super friendly, cute spot, excellent service. read more

My boyfriend had a 5 hour appointment nearby and so I took to the streets to train for my fall 5k's. I passed Stef's and on the way back, stopped in to see if she could make be beautiful. Jessica took care of me immediately. I initially inquired for a wash and curl but she ended up coloring and cutting my locks. Talk about being pampered, Jessica rocks. Steph and Jill are AMAZING! I had received a stone therapy facial and have never in my life received a better treatment. Jill also conducted the collagen eye mask which felt so invigorating. She was a great person with a fun personality and respect for myself, my time and my skin. She does phone consultations, reflexology, facials and so much more. I have tried 3 other hairdressers in the area to try to match my hairdresser in Northern VA, and until now, I had no success. I have a short cut, that is a little edgy, and very fine hair. Stef gave my a haircut that exactly matched the cut i love so much from my Northern VA hairdresser. She did a great job, and really seems to understand hair. She was very careful with my fine hair during the washing and styling process. And she gives a great head massage during the shampoo and conditioner steps. To top it off, she is very pleasant to be around. The salon is quiet and pretty, with two other stylists renting chairs. It is not a madhouse like some salons. I am so happy to have found a local hairdresser after all this time. I highly recommend! read more

Stef's Salong & Spa is the kind of place where you can go in looking your absolute worst and come out looking and feeling amazing. This salon offers everything you could possible need. Stef has cut, colored, highlighted, and styled my hair many times and I've never had a bad look. I drive about an hour to get my hair done by Stef because she's the only person I've ever been to that really knows how to handle crazy curly hair! She'll always have some of the most up to date and healthy treatment options if you're looking for just a little bit more pampering, and while you're waiting for your color to finish, you can get two mini spa treatments for $20! I made an appt. At Stephs for a wedding. When I arrived, despite being a few min. Late, Steph was able to get me in right away. I showed her a few pictures of what I was looking for. She was so sweet and we agreed on a style. She was very sweet to interact with and is very talented. She understood how to work with my hair appropriately and did an amazing job. I also wanted to get fake eyelashes that i had not booked for. Steph checked to see if Jill, the esthecian was open. She was and it was a great experience. I have never had fake eyelashes before. Jill was very informative, took her Time and even did some of my eye makeup for me. So great and so sweet!! she did a fabulous job and i looked glamorous. These two women did an amazing job and I would recommend them to anyone. Bonus...the salon is so incredibly beautiful. read more

No matter where you live in the East Bay, you owe it to yourself to have the reward of not only a special occasion visit but a routine trip to this brand new fabulous salon. The owner- stylists have created a spacious, comfortable, and soothing atmosphere, with ample plush seating for reading or connecting to Wi-Fi while you wait. There is fresh water, coffee, snacks, and magazines to relax too.. In my last salon experience, I felt cramped, uncomfortable , and intruded upon. Here, you aren't overwhelmed by distractions and can truly relax. The service is beyond professional, courteous, and caring. I have very thick and straight hair and I'm fussy, yet Stef made my hair look fabulous with a great cut that I can easily style myself . And, the color came out perfect, better than I've ever had.. I'm in heaven and plan to return monthly to this full service salon. The prices are no higher than my previous salon, so I feel like I'm doubly blessed . Good salons can be hard to find, but this salon will pay attention to you and use their expertise to give you an individual experience. I love the easy location of this salon, just off of rte. 24 (exit 2, then a left and another left onto rte. 138. At this end of the road, you don't have to deal with the traffic going to Newport, etc., but there are some nice stores closeby. Give Stef's a try. You won't be disappointed. read more
