The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with a warm, rustic atmosphere that fits perfectly with the lake-town charm. I ordered one of their burgers, and it was phenomenal -- juicy patty, melted cheese, fresh greens, red onion, and a perfectly toasted artisan bun. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully put together. The house-made kettle-style chips on the side were thick, crispy, and addictive -- a great change from the usual fries. We also tried a soft pretzel that was warm, fluffy, and served with tasty dipping sauces. A great starter to share! This place is super awesome! Stopped by for lunch after searching Yelp for recommendations. I don't know why some said service was bad? I had the complete opposite! Walked right in and was greeted like family. We sat outside next to the water, nice breeze from the lake! Our server Britney came right on over and went over the menu and gave some great recommendations. I ordered the pretzel and Hamburg, someone said up charge for grilled onions was $2 it was only $1 no worries. Hamburg was sooooo good, I'm a sauce person and that was my only complaint was I needed some sort of sauce. My partner didn't think so since the meat was tender and juicy the cheesy was crispy. One last thing! The fries!!! Wow, I loved them!!! Perfect morsels of fried potatoes! Everything came out hot and fresh. I will def be back again for the live music and to try more beers! read more

We ordered the Bavarian Pretzel for our appetizer, tasty crust and the inside... soft and chewy. Then came the Hamburg the beef patties had an amazing crust and tasted fantastic, and I can't describe how fantastic the fries are. I'm a fry snob, and these are the best I have tasted to this date. We stopped in here for dinner and so glad we did! We shared the huge pretzel, the agrodolce salad and the curry wurst. The curry sauce was a bit spicy for my mom and they were kind enough to offer her an alternative. Looking forward to trying the pork schnitzel, the burger and the fried chicken sandwich. This location has been a number of things over the years and I was a bit concerned when we arrived at 5:45 and had the whole place to ourselves. Hubs went to Bavaria recently and came back craving the pretzels and said this pretzel is better (and yes, the best he's ever had). The fries that came with my meal were outstanding- an unexpected surprise that they take time and care to make them special with a thick cut and a perfectly crispy light coating. Our first time here (since ownership change). My expectations were not high as I knew the theme was German food. However, they really surprised me with the delicious food and friendly people. We had the potato croquettes with garlic aioli, the spaetzle, and one of the "plates" with two kinds of sausages, bread, cheese, and pickled beets. It all worked! I really enjoyed the Erdinger beer (new to me). I was not a fan of the digital ordering. It took longer than if an actual person took our order and just really impersonal. Also, asked for water and it was definitely tap. I look forward to being able to eat on the outdoor patio when it's not 110 degrees! Food is delicious! Authentic German/Swiss. Location is great for boaters. Great view of the lake. I had the Agrodolce salad with schnitzel. The potato fries are wonderful.
