I wish I would've found this place 18 months ago. Dr Scarborough is simply the best. A real professional with a professional staff.

And considering the potential for discomfort in the process, I deeply appreciate the care they took with my oral care. I didn't know them beyond the good reviews, but I'm happy to say 5*s, consider Lakeside with confidence. I have a new home for dental care. And shout out to Gia for picking the playlist, modern, interesting tracks when I was expecting Muzak or some sort of meditative classical. A surprise and delight.

That same day, I received the quote, a phone call, and a text. I replied with a question about whether shots were necessary and was told to call. I said I was working and would call later, but received another call the next day. I then asked them to stop contacting me, as I felt pressured. They said they were just following up. Later, I got insurance that Dr. Morales accepts and emailed my information requesting a new quote. After four days with no response, I resent it. By 2/10, I still hadn't heard back, so I stopped by the office. I asked the dentist whether they were just busy or if there was an issue because I had asked them to stop calling. He said, "eh maybe, but I'll look into that," and told me to leave my insurance info. The receptionist mentioned their system had been down and said they'd follow up. I even asked if I should find a new dentist, and he laughed and said no. I'm glad I learned who this dentist is before giving him more money or trusting him with my care.

Another good experience with Four Points Dental. Came in for a routine cleaning. And found out I…read moreneed a tooth extraction. I kind of knew this was coming. I have had some discomfort with a molar. Not pain, but pressure when I chewed. It's only been in the last week or two that I've noticed it. Turned out I had a cavity under my crown. So after my cleaning, I went home for a little bit, and went back for the extraction. The little sucker didn't want to come out, but in the end, the dentist won that battle. I was numbed I think 3 times. Usually I can be pretty chill at the dentist, but this time I was crying, and extremely jittery. The assistant got me a blanket and rubbed my arm as the needle went in with the novocain. Once the numbing and needle part was over I was feeling a little more relaxed. It did take some tugging but it came out. I did see it after it was pulled out, molars are big, I can't believe it came out all in one piece. Happy it's over with. But this will be a long process of healing, and then an implant. They are saying about 6 months.

My review is limited exclusively to Dr. Evan John, so take from that what you will. I had no idea going in who I would see, and for that reason, I felt obligated to warn others. I found Dr. Evan John to be incredibly unprofessional and lacking in bedside manner. Further, he was not thorough and incredibly awkward, which only added to my anxiety. I have since learned (from social media, no less) that he is a brand new dentist, and maybe that explains it. Even other professionals I have spoken to have acknowledged that the bedside manner was inappropriate. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, I cannot excuse the experience I had. Dentist experience aside, the hygienist was fabulous, one of the best I've ever had, but it couldn't salvage the mess of my visit and the unnecessarily anxious aftermath.

About 6 years ago, I needed major work done and a dentist in Austin to do it. This practice had…read moregood reviews, and they put me with a young dentist who was very likable. He created a lengthy treatment plan and got to work. A few years ago, he moved away and they had trouble filling the vacancy. I never felt comfortable going back--the first replacement hurt me and caused damage that I'm still trying to fix, but I did a few times when I had urgent work. All in, I paid them and the endodontist they sent me to for occasional help many tens of thousands of dollars. But toward the end, I noticed that the urgent issues coming up were on teeth they'd already attended! I haven't taken good care of my teeth over the years, but it seemed a root canal and crown should last more than a year or two, right? So finally I went to a different dentist. The new dentist must redo MULTIPLE ill-fitting crowns, and b/c they've been leaking, I'm also having REtreatments of root canals for crowns that are only 2 years old! It has caused bone damage! So even though we weren't finished with the initial work, now I get to pay to REDO work I just got to pay for. My question to the new dentist of course was, is this the level of malpractice? They all protect each other, don't they? He wouldn't use that word, but he did say multiple crowns were not fitted properly--I can see the leaking spots on the X-rays! I haven't decided what to do about this, but I'm furious to have to pay to do the same work over again.
