I've been coming here since moving to El Segundo and it is great! The staff is incredibly friendly and Dr. Guidone is a wonderful person. All the pricing is very reasonable and there is a great positive energy and environment in the office. They take great care to get the job done right and make the patient feel at ease. It was sad to hear that some folks that are not even patients were loitering around the area up to no good, causing problems and trolled this office with negative reviews. I love my dentist! How many people can say that? Dr. Guidone and ALL of his staff are kind, personable and truly experts. They treat you like family. Steve and staff are great at what they do! I can't say enough good things about this practice. I only had one dentist my entire life and he retired in 2018. I looked long and hard to find someone that did quality work, was local, ethical and friendly. Steve is exactly who I was looking for. Everything is very clean, professional, meticulous and they are a pleasure to work with. The prices are extremely affordable and fair for the high quality of work they deliver. I just went in the other day for a cleaning and x-rays. I was in and out very quickly. Very gentle touch on the cleaning. I couldn't ask for better. Steve also puts an emphasis on cosmetic repairs. How does one know he has found good dentist? The same way one knows he has found a good mechanic? During a checkup you hear something along the lines of "there is nothing wrong". Now days, you rarely hear this, instead dentists and mechanics often push a myriad of high priced useless services. Dr. Guidone, is one of the few of the dying breed of dentists who is honest and NOT constantly trying to up-sell you veneers, invisalign, botox injections (yes many dentists now do botox injections to make some extra $) and etc.. He is a great dentist with integrity. I have been seeing Dr. Guidone for a couple of years now... Simply said, he is honest and amazing at his craft. However, the cherry on top of my dental visits is Karen, Dr. Guidone's hygienist. She is the best kept secret of South Bay (shhhh even more of a secret that Dr. Guidone himself). Dr. Guidone is one of the best dentist I've ever encountered. He extracted my wisdom teeth in under 1hour. He was so patient with me and he thoroughly explained everything throughout the procedure. I recommend him should you need any wisdom teeth extracted. Also, his office is high tech. I was impressed with X-Ray machine. It was quick an easy. No need to take several bite down X-rays. It was almost like a 3-dimensional X-ray machine. Last but not least, Dr. Guidone has an exceptional staff. They are wonderful and very welcoming. This guy is as good as it gets! TRULY! I wrote a review for another dentist on here that tried to scam me into having 9 fillings I didnt need!!!!! How scary is that?! I wont say her name, but look up the review if you're curious. I'm SO happy I never went to her in the end since she would've made holes in my teeth just to make money. The first thing that women's assistant told me when she saw me was my teeth were in bad shape. I felt something was wrong because I have only had dentists my whole life tell me my teeth are good. So, after much asking around and referrals I finally fell into the safe hands of Stephen Guidone. He's honest, yes a dentist can be honest, there are probably only a few left, but here's your guy, he's down to earth, he'll give you the scope, tell you what you need now and what can wait. In the end I didnt even get one filling done, he said there is one starting, but it may never get any worse and we'll monitor it each year to see how it goes... and... I need to floss every day, like a good girl. haha If you're looking for a dentist - dont look any further! A real dental artist! I was a bad girl growing up and not very good about brushing which resulted in quite a few cavities as a kid! Every single filling I've ever had done by Steven Guidone has been perfect and beautiful. He is also really quick so you're under the drill for less time, which is great for a drill hater like myself. The staff is very sweet and professional! I come in for a regular cleaning every six months and my dental hygienists always do a great, gentle cleaning! Did I add that I get a new tooth brush, travel size toothpaste, and floss every time I come in for a cleaning? Guidone was my dentist for nearly 17 years. Trusted he and his staff. Recently i heard he is in the process of selling his business, so I sought another dentist for a concern of a crown whose color and fit was hitting the lower teeth and chipping. I have brought to the attention of Guidone and his staff the upper front tooth was sore between the upper lip and my nose as well as a molar that was capturing large pieces of food. All of these complaints were not addressed The new dentist referred me to a respected orthodontist in Torrance where it was discovered the tooth was infected and I was going to lose it. Guidone performed a root canal on this tooth when I first saw him 17 years ago. He did not bother to refer me to a orthodontist. Just did the root canal, capped it and sent me on my way. After seeing the orthodontist I called Guidones office to express my displeasure, the orthodontist findings and what I deem a betrayal of my trust. HIs Front desk woman, Nina, suggested I return and have Guidone examine. I was not willing to take another chance. I returned to his office to gather my dental records, WHILE, in his office, Guidone persuaded me to allow him to examine, the chipped tooth, the front infected tooth and the gap in my rear molar. he agreed, the tooth was going to be lost. i ALLOWED HIM TO FIX THE CHIPPED LOWE TOOTH AND FILL THE REAR MOLAR WITH SIVER. He also referred me to his orthodontist Dr, Donnelly in Hermosa Beach for examine and costs TO REPLACE AND REPAIR I PREPARATION FOR AN IMPLANT.. He found the same problems AS THE MENTIONED ORTHODONTIST IN TORRANCE I was hesitant to return to Guidone as a number of people have told me his business was for sale and was retiring to Arizona. I told the orthodontist I would call Guidone and inquire if the sale of his business was true. I am sure he expressed this to Guidone as when I tried calling his office, his front desk woman, answered the phone, set it down and left me waiting for 10 minutes. I Called back and she would not pickup, I left a message and did not receive a return call. tO THIS DAY~~NO CALL BACK, BUT, THIS IS WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THIS OKIE DOKE, SMARMY OPERATION She did the same cowardly thing when I first started delving into this nightmare. THE REAR MOLAR REPAIR FELL OUT AND THE GAP IS MUCH LARGER. THE FRONT TOOTH CAP STANDS OUT LIKE A BAD EARL SCHEIB AUTO PAINT JOB WITH BONDO FILLER AND CHEAP PAINT AND THE SD PART, IT IS THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE FIXED IS WITH AN IMPLANT. I have been looking for a good dentist for awhile after growing up with the same one that made me feel homey. I had my first check-up at Dr. Guidone's office and I must say it was definitely what I was looking for! His staff is SUPER, SUPER friendly. They were so welcoming as soon as I stepped in and made all the logistics go smoothly. I usually dislike going to the dentist but my entire experience at this office was a great one. I had gone once to another office in Manhattan beach prior to finding this one on yelp. I went once and never went back as I didn't feel the atmosphere was 'homey' enough. That other office told me I needed to get 4-5 things done including fillings, 2 cavities, and something else I hadn't heard of. It felt off since I knew I couldn't have gotten 2 cavities considering how careful I had been. After going to Dr. Guidone's office a year later, I left with only needing a fill for a cracked tooth I HAD NEVER NOTICED nor had any dentist ever pointed out. But after showing me with the mirror, it was very clear it was there. He said I had no traces of any of the other things but that he wanted to fix that chip so that my wedding pictures looked flawless :) I definitely trusted him as he' s been in the business for 20-30+ years. They're technology, technique, and thoroughness was all great and I actually learned a bunch of new things about my mouth and dental hygiene in general. I have been going to Dr. Guidone's office for about a year and I don't know how I ever had previous dentists before them. The staff when you walk in or call is always so pleasant to deal with. Isabel and Mina are very helpful, accommodating and always have a smile on their faces. Leilani cleans my teeth and before her I have never had my teeth cleaned so thoroughly before. I told her after my first cleaning with her that I was literally in my last dentists chair for about 5-10 minutes and his cleaning simply felt like he was using a water pick. I really feel like she does a great job in making sure your teeth are clean and she makes you feel comfortable during the process. She even physically exams your mouth and tongue to make sure you don't have any abnormal growths. Dr. Guidone has filled some cavities that I have had and he really knows his stuff. He comes in, gets work done and you leave his chair with a sense of peacefulness. Knowing that some of his old school methods like using "A Dental Dam" are still great for the common day cavity fill is really neat to see. He definitely is educated and knows his industry and I would recommend him to anyone, including my family. All in all, if you are looking for a dentist, I would highly commend Dr. Guidone's office because not only do they pride themselves on their work, but they genuinely care. read more
