I am a 'nervous nelly' at the dentist and Dr. Qazi always takes the time to talk with me, calm my nerves, and work through solutions to help with my dental anxiety. He is very responsive to my feelings and takes extra time and care during the exam to make sure I am comfortable. I always wait to write a review until I've been to a business several times to ensure the service is consistent. Today's the day, and I would enthusiastically give Dr. Qazi and his staff 10 stars if I could. I first went to Redondo Beach Dental Arts in June 2024. I walked in and inquired about getting a second opinion for my elderly mom, who received a suspicious diagnosis for "needed" dental work from another dental office. Both ladies at the front desk were very friendly, and I spoke to Karla about my mom's situation. Reluctant to go through the tedious and time-consuming insurance process of getting the second opinion, I hoped to pay something affordable out-of-pocket to speed up the process. I was delighted when she quoted me an unexpectedly small fee that included X-rays and an exam by Dr. Qazi. She also made my mom an appointment for three days later! I remember thinking to myself, "This gal is my hero." At that appointment, my mom and I met Dr. Qazi, a friendly and gentle man who listened patiently, reviewed the treatment plan from the doctor at the other dental office, and examined my mom's teeth. He concluded that she did not need the treatment plan that was given. I knew it! Further, he asked her to describe how she cared for her teeth, again listening very patiently. Then he complimented her on her dental hygiene and offered some helpful tips. That's the day my mom and I decided to make Dr. Qazi the new dentist for both of us. She even changed her insurance so he is in her network. Since then (9 months ago), we have both been to Dr. Qazi for regular cleanings and thorough exams. He is professional and personable at the same time, and always a patient listener. Every staff member we have had contact with at these visits is efficient and genuinely friendly. You can tell they love their jobs in the work environment that Dr. Qazi has created. It's no wonder that he has rave reviews online. It pleases me to add mine now. My first visit came in the afternoon. They were running behind so I went to the 99c store in same strip mall. Came back and they were ready for me. The front desk staff is very friendly and keeps you informed. There is water available in the lobby. The hygienists and other support staff were also very friendly and did their jobs well. The Dr. introduced himself and welcomed me. He was able to fix a few chipped teeth and give me a cleaning without the need for numbing. They took x-rays and photographs and showed me an old mercury filling that needed to be replaced. They also post photos of patient's pets in the office. Very cute. Happy to call this my new dental office. Be sure to ask for a free hygiene kit. PS Minus one star for having to wait around 1.5 hours when I had an appointment. read more

In fact all the staff is very professional and friendly. Coming here was the best decision I have made for myself. Facility is state of the art and super clean. My experience with Redondo Beach Dental Arts has been no less than horrific. When they took my Invisalign case, I paid all of the money upfront for the molds and aligners. I was told that the office would be open after hours and that my job as a full-time teacher wouldn't impede the process. The practice is run by a husband and wife team. My initial experience with Dr. Sormeh Panah was pleasant. She has a lovely personality and puts even anxious patients, like myself, at ease. However, her husband, Arash, was the antithesis of soothing. He was abrasive and insulting. He insinuated that I wasn't committed to wearing the aligners and told me that I must be getting impatient for change. I was not feeling impatient about the change, but I was frustrated that I was constantly rescheduled to come in and then told that they didn't have the requisite equipment at that office to complete my visit. And could I just come back the next day? Mind you, I was taking time off from teaching and my students, because the only day when I could arrive to the office before they closed was Friday and they close their offices early every Friday. I could not keep up the constant appointments without inciting the ire of my employer and taking precious time away from my students. Then my husband and I relocated up to the Bay Area. I've emailed and left voicemails at the office on numerous occasions, asking (practically begging!) them to get back to me about the Invisalign case, because I own the aligners and the case information, as it was paid for IN FULL. I wanted the information to be sent to my new dentist. I could've finished the entire process during the pandemic, but to no avail! They have ignored all of my correspondence and, consequently, stolen thousands of dollars from me. Not too mention the stress this has caused. I would very strongly encourage anyone thinking about becoming a patient to stay away. They are only concerned with getting money, not with meeting obligations. What a disappointment! read more
