I can tell a lot about an office by their technology and this office is living in 2025 while other places I have been to are still stuck in the 70's! The panoramic X-Ray machine which was able to give me a full visual layout of my teeth.. The Live View camera that was able to show me all the stains hiding on the back of my teeth in real time.. The massive TV displaying more local X-rays the instant they are taken.. Don't waste your time & money going to a place that still uses film style x-rays like I did in the past.. You can tell Dr Phan really cares about her craft and has made the investments showing that! I was very nervous when I 1st came in but Niko at the front desk explained everything and helped me understand my options. This place feels more like home than it does a dentist office. Came here for an emergency, and they managed to fit me into their busy schedule. Their equipment is very modern and Dr Phan and her team are so sweet and helpful. I moved to the South Bay earlier this year. With that move, I unfortunately left my wonderful dentist of nearly 20 years. Thinking I was overdue for a checkup and cleaning, I made an appointment and visited a different local dental office (not Dr. Phan's) about a month ago. However, the large, factory-like feel of that office/practice did not work for me--it had a very busy lobby and an enormous number of technicians/chairs/treatment rooms. I quickly realized that I wasn't going to receive the same level of personalized care I had been accustomed to for the last 20 years. After asking around and doing some Yelp! research, I came across Dr. Christine Phan's office, and I am so glad I did! Making an appointment here was easy. It's a small, family-owned office. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have a very cute and friendly dog in the office! They are transparent with billing, for example, they will let you know if you owe something in case your insurance does not cover 100% of the services you plan to receive. Dr. Phan took the time to listen to me recap my dental history, my current dental/periodontal concerns, and she performed a thorough exam and cleaning. She also reassured me that she would monitor certain teeth/areas that have the potential to become problematic later on. She spent a lot of time listening to my problem, X-raying and checking my teeth and explaining my options which were many as opposed to my previous experience. She also was considerate of the cost and didn't try to sell me on anything unnecessary. 6/2021 I moved to the area and needed a new dentist. This happened to be one of the closest and best reviewed that I could find. Every interaction I had from beginning to end was fantastic. Nico managing the office was able to email the forms I needed to fill out before arriving for my appointment. He called me the day before to confirm. All of the equipment in the facility is modern and clean. I only needed an x-ray and cleaning, so it was a relatively simple procedure, but I was in and out in 40 minutes. It is located in a strip mall so you can just park easily and get in and out. Dr. Phan is wonderful and you can tell there is no nonsense or bs. This is a small office and the benefit of that is you deal with the same people 1:1, no excessive waiting, no games. Dr. Phan and the technology at her office show you full color pictures and closeups of all your teeth in a real time video feed so you can see any potential issues yourself. She is great at explaining in simple terms what she would recommend or NOT recommend is necessary, which can be just as important. Please, just come here if you are in a reasonable distance. After my experience, I would not hesitate to tell friends or loved ones to drive over 50 miles just for the great experience you will get. read more

If i could give more than 5 stars i would!! To begin, id like to say that Iv never truly had a great experience at the dentist, neither in the UK nor in the US. Iv always been worried or nervous to go and its always been an uncomfortable experience. When i went to Dr Phan's office - from the offset of walking in, those fears and worry disappeared. The initial x-rays with Nico and Isabella were smooth and quick. They are both amazing and we had a great conversation throughout. They made me feel so comfortable to be there. Then Dr Phan went through the x-rays with me and discussed what was hurting vs what is needed and what we are going to monitor. Despite being very busy, Dr Phan took care of the filling so that i wouldn't have pain anymore. I appreciate that greatly, she really took care of me. She guided me through the numbing and her and Isabella chatted with me throughout. I had no discomfort at all. Besides from my experience here and how amazing it was - id like to compare it to my previous experience with a US dentist who gave me a whole list of things "i needed done" when in actual fact i did not! Not to mention the huge invoice attached to that. On the contrary Dr Phan told me exactly what i needed in the most honest and truthful way. The amount of trust i have with her and her office is amazing. After 7 years i can now say i have a dentist in the US that i trust! It's absolutely terrible. I am in complete shock. Do not go here if you have medi-cal or dentalcal. They do not want to help us. I called to make an appointment, and he told me he is unsure if he takes my insurance. I am on the phone for two hours just to verify. They even spoke to the doctor to confirm, at my request. I am told I was going to be given a phone call back. I never receive one. I call back on Thursday. Friday and Saturday. I say they're probably busy. It's Wednesday a week later and I finally get the man I first spoke to and he ask what I need so I say def a deep cleaning since it's been a while and he says that's not how it works you have to be pre-approved so I say okay let's do a general cleaning he says that's if your approved? I have all great benefits everything is covered so I'm like okay? Then I tell him is everything okay? I'm just trying to schedule and appointment. I say is there a problem I'm confused I just want to understand why can't I schedule an appointment he tells me "you don't know who you are talking to...and idk if you know how life works...ect.... then he keeps telling me to breathe. Over and over again. I tell him is it because I have MEdi-CAL. Is there a problem with my insurance and he agrees and says yes there is. Like??? Then I tell him I need help that's why I'm calling. You're on the list from the government website....your supposed to help us. Not to mention, when I originally spoke to him, he said they don't get paid for those exams. Is this why?? I can't believe it. I did research to finally have a good dental experience, and now this... I'm extremely disappointed. I will be calling medi-cal asap. Finding a good dentist is like finding a good therapist or hairstylist. Once you find them you can't go to anyone else! I love Dr. Phan! I've been following her for the last 5 years and will always be a loyal patient. I've had horrible experiences with other dentists so I'm a little traumatize. When I found Dr. Phan, she was so gentle and she is very knowledgeable. Dr. Phan is very trustworthy and will only recommend procedures if needed. Before coming to her, other dental offices would tell me I was just prone to cavities so I would have to get work done multiple time a year! Now after seeing Dr. Phan she taught me that the actual cause of the cavities are from my teeth getting cracked from intense grinding. I now wear a night guard that helps with the grinding and for the first time in a long time I haven't complain about a cavities in years. I definitely feel like I'm in good hands here.
