The engine still runs great so I didn't want to just trash the car. They replaced the radiator but it still wasn't working right and determined the water pump was bad. Now I've never replaced the water pump and it was completely rusted at the bolts and they had to try and drill and tap out all of the bolts. It took about a day and they did not charge me for the full hours. I now have a great running car with no overheating issues. Could not be happier with the car they gave back to me.

I pulled over and tried to fix it myself, but I was still four hours from my destination, it was getting dark, and as a young woman traveling alone, I was honestly scared. I arrived at Odessa Muffler and Brake right at closing time, expecting to be turned away. But instead, they greeted me with warmth and didn't hesitate to help. They stopped what they were doing and got to work on my car immediately; no questions asked, no judgment, just kindness. They spent an entire hour after closing carefully securing my bumper, checking my whole vehicle to make sure it was safe, and even discovered and fixed my muffler that was hanging off (which I had no idea about!). When I asked how much it would cost, they told me it was free. That kind of generosity is so rare, especially when they easily could have taken advantage of my situation. I didn't have much money, and this trip was an emergency, but because of them, I made it safely to El Paso and was able to spend precious time with my uncle before he passed the very next day.
