The customer service at this dealership is absolute zero. even for simple services like oil change they slow. No personal service what so ever. Everything is done digital, no face to face, no phone call. God forbid you have another issue other than the one scheduled. Ive had this en multiple times where they will need to keep your vehicle for extended time. Or you need to bring it back due to having to order parts or not having that issue in the mechanics schedule. I have used this dealership for many years, purchased multiple vehicle and had all my services preformed. The service level used to be good but has consistently diminished over the years. This dealership is the worst place to get any customer service from. This is how Miller in finance handles problems apparently you just text the customer the most shitty thing you can say. I didn't hold anything "hostage" from anyone I simple called and asked if I can cancel the extended warranty before signing they said no we have to sign than we can cancel. Sterling Subaru Service Department 1 star because zero is not available. Find another any other service provider for your Subaru. Brought my vehicle, 2020 Subaru Forestry for service 11/8/2024 which was to include battery replacement. Since that service date had 2 incidents of my battery dying, I was able to "jump" the battery and continue my travels. The last incident of my battery dying was on Sunday, morning March 9th 2025 on my way into Houston from College Station. I had to have my vehicle towed to a different provider. This provider informed the battery that was in my vehicle was the original battery (from 2020) I took pictures of the battery before the provider replaced the battery. Sterling Subaru had NOT replaced the battery even though they charged over $418 for a service they did NOT provide. I was finally able to get in to Sterling Subaru today, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Told NO REFUND without the old battery. Pictures were NOT sufficient They prove nothing. Need the original battery to "research" with their supplier. WTF It was the original battery from Subaru of America, Camden NJ. NO they would NOT have paid for tow from Houston. NO they would not reimburse for round trip mileage if I could actually get the old battery from provider in Houston. NO they would not go to get it from Houston. So my response to all their NO's -- NO recommendation to their company and certainly NO recommendation to their Service Department. They will charge you for work they DON'T do and when they are called out for it. They say NO, NO NO. Prove it. They don't stand behind their work. So NO stars for this business. Hope the $418 is worth telling a now former customer that they are making up a story. read more

Bought a used Sierra several months ago from Jacob Ollinger. Check engine light came on less than a week after it left their lot, been in the shop more than it's been on the road and the light is still on to this day. On top of that, lifters are shot and it's going into engine failure. Service department was little to no help. Please read this with a calm voice and take it to heart. I truly want to give Sterling GMC high stars but, I can't in good conscience. Servicing my older Terrain has been an absolute nightmare. I think they have been through two or three different service teams since I moved down here in 2020. It has cost me thousands of dollars. I'm drowning in debt over that vehicle and having it serviced. Last week the check engine light came on a little less than a week after I got out of service. It was the last straw and I had to trade it in. I tried to get more for my vehicle, they said they would waive a $175 diagnostic fee or give me $200 more. I was told my new car came with a warranty. Nope, had the pay for that. Then I was signed up for an $895 LoJack when I have OnStar. All of this was rolled into my financing and now I'm paying interest on something that I really didn't need nor want. I blame myself for not looking at my buyers contract closer but, in my defense I was pretty distraught. Worst part is, after I washed it the next day, I found dents on the bottoms of my driver side doors. I'm just disappointed in Sterling GMC and myself. I'm going to get my tags today and I will not return. I've had a lot of cars in my lifetime and this has been the absolute worst experience with a dealership I have ever had. read more

Purchased a 2012 Ford Escape. The day I left the lot the check engine light came on before we got 25 miles away. Also the air conditioner was not working. I took the car back to them and they turned the light off. THEY DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. The car has a faulty ignition lock column and has gotten me stuck where it would not start more times than I can count. The last time i took the car back on a tow truck because it would not start and of course the check engine light is and was still on. I left it with them for over three weeks while I still paid for it. Again they said they fixed it, and I was on the way home stopped to get gas and the car would not start. At the time I was a high risk pregnancy so I had to stop driving the car because it kept getting me stuck, and causing too much stress, on me and my unborn child. Without air the last time I drove it to my doctor's appointment and I got stuck and I got over-heated and sick. I took the car back to them five more times. Manny the mechanic said he fixed the issue or he could not find anything wrong and turned the check engine light off again. I drove off the lot and again every single time, the check engine light immediately came back on. The car still has the faulty ignition module. Took it to the ford it has a faulty ignition, a bad a/c clutch, bad fuel tank, faulty tire sensors, faulty brake caliper, unknown issue with the electrical system and a leaking head gasket. They literally sold me junk. To this day the check engine light is still on and the car cannot be registered and with the leaking head gasket is not even safe to drive. The customer service is awful. The owner does not respond. Lee said I can help you and then said "F- You" Avoid this place, they are horrible, their business practices are unscrupulous and deceptive. I took my car there several times. Each time I had to keep taking the car back. They never seem to be able to fix the problem. Recently I took it over for a simple oil change. I noticed the next day black smut coming out of the tail pipe. So I did the smart thing And took the car somewhere else they informed me that Sterling had over filled the car with oil. Firstly, I downloaded and created a Yelp profile just to write this review! I took my car here after I got into a wreck to get it fixed. They said it would take a week or two to get to it cause they were busy. It took them a month and a half to get it. When they finally did they would tell me it would be ready soon, but they just kept saying hopefully tomorrow it'd be ready. Then they said it was ready so I drove 3 hours to get it. Then they said something was wrong with it not wreck related and now they were going to need more time and more parts to fix it. All in all o decided to take my car somewhere else where they actually do their jobs after having the car for two months now. Not very friendly and don't call back very often. Took my truck in for service. The Engine Code showed the Cam Shaft Sensor to be bad ($30-$40 sensor, and $120 to install, although they never told me how much it would be, and I requested that multiple times from John (at the Navasota location). They said we'll look at it and get with you. At the end of the day, I called them, they didn't call me. Then they proceeded to tell me that I needed a new camshaft because it was walking. I picked up my truck, took it elsewhere for the sensor to be installed, it runs like a top. I will never do business with Sterling Auto, period. read more

We bought a Buick Encore from this company and service has been deplorable at best. Without going over everything, I'll just mention the most recent incident. We received a recall notice in the mail. I went online to their web site and scheduled an appointment about 5 days beforehand. I scheduled it for today at 10AM. The website said they appreciated my business and that they would contact me to confirm. They never did so yesterday I called and sure enough, no record of my appointment. So we made a new appointment for today. We arrived 5 minutes early, went to the service booth which houses four service reps. There were two other people in front of us apparently waiting for the service rep closest to the entrance. We waited patiently while this one guy dealt with everybody and the other employees chuckled and talked among themselves. Then one of those others got up and left the service booth. We finally got to talk to the first guy who said our appointment was with the guy who just left and that we would have to wait. Three guys sitting around with nothing to do but ignore the customer. So I asked, why do I have to wait for Bill, that's was his name,I don't know Bill...I didn't make an appointment with Bill. I "forced" the first guy to take our keys and do the paperwork. All four of those clowns should be replaced by someone who wants a job. Horrible Horrible customer service. I will NEVER buy another car from this company. read more

STAY AWAY FROM STERLING KIA. I was looking to purchase as 50K Kia Carnival, but I would not agree to the dealer's low ball offer on my trade-in. When I told them repeatedly I would not accept a trade-in offer that was 3K below the KBB value, the SALES MANAGER, SHAWN FREEMAN resorted to his strong arm tactics. He came into the room with an attitude and started telling me that I did not know what I was talking about. He tried to BELITTLE me and INTIMIDATE me into submission. When I refused to give in, he said he did not even want to sell the car to me and he did not even want to have me in his dealership. He then THREATENED that he would not refund the $500 deposit that I put down to hold the vehicle. He finally relented when I asked him if I would have to take him to court and sue him. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. Take your business to another dealership that respects customers. Based on my experience, it seems like Shawn was trained to treat customers like this. If they can't convince or get you to submit, then THEY WILL INSULT YOU AND ASK YOU TO LEAVE. I will never do business with this dealership and I would STAY AWAY FROM THE ENTIRE STERLING AUTO GROUP who condones these types of strong arm tactics. I have read a number of other reviews about service after the sale and this dealership continues to treat their customers like garbage. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING YOUR MONEY. Showed up to look at a new Cadillac, sat outside looking at them for about 30 minutes waiting for a salesman, I even moved right in front of the showroom and nobody would come out and greet me, finally I just walked inside and asked for a sales persons help, he seemed very rude and like he wasn't wanting to help, when I asked to test drive it he asked if all the parties were here. When I said no he said we could test drive it when the other person was here. So we went to go and look at it and he said that he was needed back inside and never came back even after 20 minutes. He even came outside and walked around and went back in. Will never think about shopping here read more

My wife drives a Cadillac suv. Actually driving her second one. The service she has received at Sterling is terrible! From the minute you walk in the service area, they make you feel like you are a bother to them. Her most recent trip, they suggested she needed new tires (24,000 miles on 60,000 mile warranty). I called the dealership twice last week to ask about a pro-rated price on new ones since the old wore out so quick. No return call... Today, I went there in person. I was told again the tires should be replaced. I agree. But, instead of them asking for pro-rated price from the manufacturer, they asked me to call. I called and got a case number in ten minutes. However, they needed the dealership to call and verify. So I call the service rep. No return call... I go back to the dealership. The place is practically empty. Only one other customer the whole time I was there. Service writer tell me it will be Monday before he knows anything. I told him it took me 10 minutes. Can I talk to the service manager to expedite this because I was hoping to get new tires today. He introduces me to the service manager. Again, it appears I am bothering her. I tell her we've had bad service there before hoping she would try to make things right. Nope! She said she had more pressing things to do and would get around to it (again, no other customers around)! She said she would call me back. I told her I'd like to get tires today. No change in Her attitude! It's 4 hours later, I have not received a call back. I truly don't know how they stay in business! My wife loves her Cadillac but will probably buy a different brand next because of the horrible local service! Sterling Auto The Non-Service Center! PS... I just called Discount Tire. A year ago my parents purchased a vehicle from Sterling and they've recently discovered an issue. I truly don't blame Sterling for the issue but it was discovered that the vehicle was damaged from a wreck that my parents did not know about when they purchased the car. There was a miscommunication about the issue. Rather for Sterling to act professional about this matter, they acted passive aggressive and accused my parents of the wreck that they had no idea about. I am very upset for the way Mr. Bruce Hood handled the matter. When working in costumer service, it is known that no matter what, the customer is always right and the way he treated my parents was unacceptable. My parents are not fluent in English so this made things even harder to understand and they were unable to speak for themselves. Rather than to communicate and be reasonable about the situation he was threatening my parents saying "if you walk out this door the offer ends and we would not help you out" informing them to take or leave his offer. Also at the end of the conversation Mr. Bruce Hood unprofessionally told my parents to not leave anything negative on the survey, even though they had an absolute terrible experience. My dad felt threatened and intimidated and that is not how any customer should feel after dealing with an issue that was not their fault. I'm very disappointed by the way this salesman handled the situation and disappointed in Sterling. The way he acted is this very unprofessional and is that what the company represents? If so I would not recommend this place nor will my parents ever purchase from here again. We will take our business somewhere where they treat customers professionally and respectfully. read more

Every question, every decision, every issue, he's been there to walk me through the process and not make me feel like a "silly woman" who doesn't know anything about vehicles (I so don't). If I could give the collision and body shop no stars I would! I took my car in for hail damage repair and almost two months later (after being told it was three weeks tops of repairs) and the work done was horrible. Not only was the car covered in white dust from the "repairs"/broken glass still through the car, there is a list of additional damage that had nothing to do with why I brought the vehicle in. The windshield is missing a part that covers the unit associated with the back up camera. The interior of the back is scratched up, as well as a part of the plastic on the hatchback is now broken. There are dings and scratches inside and outside, and although minor, they were not there prior to the work being done. The tire was flat when I picked up the vehicle as well. Not to mention, the over all experience with the customer service was HORRIBLE. I tried calling once a week towards the last three weeks and had a hard time getting a hold of anyone. The receptionist was extremely rude and at one point when I asked if there was a general time frame (I needed to know what to do with the rental) her response was "The car will be fixed when it is fixed!". I do not recommend anyone to use this body shop unless you want more damage done to your vehicle then when you take it in. read more

Sales and financial people were professional and courteous. Not too pushy. Found generous end of model year rebates plus a military discount.
