Very poor experience both times I have eaten here. This evening, the waitress made errors on two of our three plates (she brought the wrong side with one meal and the wrong pasta AND wrong sauce with the other). Both of those meals were edible but not worth coming back for. The "taco salad" was completely disgusting. I never send food back because I feel embarrassed to, but I had no choice on this one. It was not ground beef or shredded beef, although it might have been shredded steak leftovers at one time... What it was: slimy beyond belief, clearly warmed up from being frozen, with gray, gelatinous, filmy goo throughout. I would challenge anyone to look at this stuff and keep their appetite. The biggest problem: when I apologetically, politely showed the disgusting beef to the waitress, she did not respond appropriately. She did offer to get me something else, but I overheard her talking with another waitress about it- they were saying, "Oh, well it's not ground beef." "Yeah I know, it's shredded beef." For the record, I do love shredded beef. I sympathize with the servers a little, but these two needed to stop being defensive and take a look at what is on the plate. I have heard this place is not bad for breakfast, but if their service and food is this poor at dinner, I'm not going to risk ruining a perfectly good morning. Try Country Gentleman in Kennewick instead, everything there is freshly made. read more

Nice facility, great wait staff, prices a touch high, but you are paying to go to a nice place..... The omelet was a disappointment, Flavors were great, the egg however in just whipped eggs, fried then placed over what would normally go inside an omelet. Just not a fan of thick cakey eggs. We went to visit my son and family last weekend. They said we are taking you to our new go to breakfast place. We were seated by a very friendly server who actually talked to both of my grandchildren. They are 5 and 4 so are usually not asked what they want. She asked how they wanted their eggs and meat in terms they could understand. I was then impressed when my grandson couldn't find a blue crayon in his container. When she came to fill our coffee again he asked her for a blue crayon. She went and got another container and complemented him on his good manners. He then said she did too! The food was excellent but for one thing. I ordered the lite......I got so much that I couldn't finish it all. I don't remember her name but that she was a Green Bay fan.....I bet you know who. With above and beyond service and wonderful food what else could I want . We will be back on our next trip! read more

Went to breakfast for my husband's parents birthday (the 10th and 12th officially) 5 top for those of you in the industry. My husband's glass was dirty, not just dirty but like chunks of food stuck to it on the inside. If I would have known how poorly the situation would be handled I would have taken a picture. Unfortunately he drank half of it before we saw the chunks camouflaged by the ice at it's former level. Waited 30 minutes for a manager to speak with us, then she threw her whole staff under the bus. She said and I quote "my staff isn't that great", "my dishwashers are new and don't know how to risnse" ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! I feel as if she is the one who hasn't been properly trained. Never ever throw your people under the bus! We usually frequent a different Sterlings location and will never go back to the Queensgate and maybe none at all. She finally offered to take something off our bill (ok now things are moving in the right direction) we thought it would be my husband's food that he was too grossed out to finish; NOPE it was my $5.99 breakfast sandwich. Thanks for the gesture on our $56 ($50 after discount, our server was nice so we still tipped $7) breakfast bill, but next time we'll just go somewhere with GOOD service instead. read more

I took my family here the other night for dinner and was terribly disappointed. I don't know if breakfast is different but we got Steak and chicken strips and I felt like I could of possibly gotten the same type of quality at McDonald's. I personally would not recommend this place. read more

I gave them one star because the salad bar is decent. This is just like Sharis and Dennys, but their food is usually better. We had dinner there while in town one evening. I had the fried fish and it was dry and hard, the spaghetti noodles were cold, and my husband's steak was flavorless. I don't think they even put any salt and pepper on it. Not impressed with today's visit. It was not busy when I was there around 1:30pm. I was seated quickly at a booth. I noticed there was salt spilled in places on the table. Didn't look like the table had been wiped clean. The order was taken shortly after I arrived. I ordered a French Dip and salad. The food arrived and I set my salad aside to eat the sandwich. The waiter had already left the table and was out of sight. I opened the sandwich and the meat only covered half of the bread. I sat and waited for the waiter to come back. It was over 10 minutes before he came by to ask about my meal. By that time the meal was cold. He offered to put more meat on it or remake it. I chose to have the sandwich refunded but pay for the salad ($5). During the time I waited to see my waiter return there were hardly any staff members in the dining area. They were busy in the back talking and laughing. The front counter was left unattended for long periods of time too. I went to pay my bill, waiting for someone to come to the register, then asked for a manager. I explained my issue and was told that she saw the sandwich when it was brought back. It had the appropriate portion size. She asked if I wanted it remade but I declined. Why would I want another one if it would have same amount of meat on it? I do not feel she cared about my dining experience, only that the food was made correctly in portion size. read more

Home Made says it all. Locally sourced meats prepared in house. Flavors are standard American seasoning, no chutney nor chocolate habenero dressing, which is exactly what I was looking for. Great bacon infused cheeseburger, but the french dip and Malibu chicken sandwich are delicious. Salad bar is packed with freshness and the soups are good and hot. I am from out of town and have been known to come here for breakfast and lunch in the same day, would have gone for the trifecta, but didn't want to look like a stalker. read more

I visited yesterday afternoon with my son and I had a really poor experience. I ordered the Deluxe burger with cheese. It took almost 45 mins for us to receive our dinners and when my order arrived I noticed the buns were plain, so I asked for mayo for the buns. When the waiter left the table I noticed the cheese was missing from my burger and the burger was overcooked and that there was a slice of lettuce, a tomato and a pickle on one side of the bun. That was it. I figured I would let the waiter know about the missing cheese when he returned with the mayo, but he never came back. About ten minutes passed and I was finally able to flag him down and mentioned the requested item that he hadn't brought (he said he forgot) as well as the missing cheese and I asked him if the deluxe cheeseburger normally came with just a slice of lettuce a pickle and tomato and he said yes. (This is a $12 plate) He said he would have them make me a new burger since a good 15 mins had passed since I had been served and he said he'd also bring me back the mayo. He took the plate and within 5 mins he was back with the burger. There was a melted slice of American cheese that had clearly been microwaved on the already overcooked burger and now the hamburger was tough and dried out from the microwave. It was not a new burger like he had stated he would have made. This was the worst burger and worst service I have experienced in a long time. And 12 dollars may not be much to most people but its a lot for me and this experience made me regret spending it at Sterling's. I'd stick with the other Sterling's or find a restaraunt that specializes in burgers. Or just save 12 dollars and make a much better burger at home. :) read more

Not impressed. Seemed like a lot of trouble to take us to a table. Waited for coffee to be served for 5 minutes. Waitress tried to increase price with upgrades but didn't say they were upgrades. Cleaning floor around us whilst eating. Reward scheme is rubbish. Staff did not know about it, and rewards are meaningless. Felt rushed throughout meal also. Also no good bye went left. I fly in to Pasco several times a year on business and when I do I always make it a point to go to Sterling's at least once or twice each trip. Very good salad bar with some excellent clam chowder. The wait staff is always "on" and attentive. I have been told this is a family owned business and their pride of ownership clearly is reflected in their operation. read more

Go there a lot, cares about customer service and service. Coffee is good, salad bar, have to be careful though, tons of selection, feel like you have to eat a lot of it. Menu selection good and prices not to bad. Just remember, no eggs after 2pm, omelets available but not fried or scrambled eggs. read more

We eat there regularly and love it. They still have an unsurpassed soup and salad bar that is great. They also have a steak and lobster special on weekends that can't be beat. Regardless of what you like, you can always find a selection for every taste. read more

I took my wife and mother here for dinner on a Monday and when I asked for a booth I was told we had to sit at a table since they only had 3 servers even though there were several booths open, but within 10 minutes people were seated at 3 of those booths. Then waited too long for service and had to flag down help 3 times just to get coffee. Later we find out servers hours have been cut and the results of that decision were very obvious. If you can't seat people in open booths or provide basic service what's the point of having a restaurant. We've been going to Sterling's for years, but I'm not planning on going back,at least for a while. Very disappointed read more

This Sterling's has one of the hardest working table bussers I have seen. His name is Darnell. He moved quickly to clean and reset tables while making sure the guests around him had beverages and no dirty plates sat on their tables. I was saddened to hear such a rude and poor reply until I read your other replies to other customers then I clearly understood your whole business practices and justifications you gave others. Your poor business practice attitude is clearly why you don't have 4-5 star ratings. Your attitude also reflects some of your staff's rude and poor attitude. Sorry for the staff that are above this and I know that there are some that are amazing, remember I kept trying your place due to the fact that I did on occasion have some great servers. But for you as a business owner trying to lie your way to better yourself it will continue to catch up to you. I am a lady, I never screamed, yelled or called anyone a name. I nicely explained my situation only to get a rude attitude back. Needless to say I don't have to explain myself your other yelpers had their own justifications back from you, while others had similar things to say. Start lying on people and that is bad karma! In the future you should appreciate that people spent money and time coming to your business, not everything can go perfectly all the time and with confidence not justification for poorness you should be respectful of any comments good or bad to help you improve relationships. Came in for breakfast and ordered my eggs over easy. The server (who made it clear he was he owners son) was fantastic until I told him my eggs were extremely undercooked as one side of the egg had all uncooked egg white. He got defensive and told me not to order them over easy next time if I didn't like raw egg white. I have been ordering my eggs like this for YEARS. My family owns a restaurant and I know how over easy eggs are supposed to be cooked. My review isn't about the eggs, it's about the poor attitude this server had. He kept reminding me he was the son of the owner and when I told him not to get upset over the eggs he replied that when someone comes in and tells him that they don't cook something correctly it offends him. Yes, he replaced the eggs but he was very condescending and rude the entire time. I still left him a tip, but after I signed the receipt he allowed his attitude to really take off. I will never be back and will also tell my friends and family to stay away from this place. I hope he reads this and understands that they were just eggs-there was no reason to get so upset that he needed to start physically shaking and become condescending. While we were seated quickly parking was not so easy. Our waiter was pretty good thats why we left him a nice tip. It sure was not for the quality of food. We dined at 630pm. My mashed potatoes were not fresh. They were cold and very sweet. Not impressed, my country fried steak was over peppered and i love pepper. My daughters fish was so dry my dog wouldnt eat it, literally we brought it home. The restaurant was out of crackers on a friday night that is Fathers Day weekend. Really!?? The front girl didnt care we werent impressed. Shes probably tired of making excuses. I never send food back or complain before we get all our food because i know what really happens. Im sure nothing was fresh. Our bread was probably premade somewhere else it was horrible too. My stomach started too Become ill soon after. Not going back. A waste of $70.
