Recently, I experienced the trauma of a flood caused by the negligence of the property owner above me--but it was a complicated situation, because someone rents from the property owner, and they had contracted with a third party who did shoddy work which caused the flood. So in the throes of dealing with the emergency and needing help from the insurance, I did not have the time or strength to figure out which entity to pursue or whose insurance to use. I spoke with Linda at Steve's office and asked for her help. She looked into everything for me and then called me back to say State Farm would handle everything for me. I've been a client with Steve for over a decade (across real estate, cars, liability, etc). I haven't had any issues or big needs beyond adding various policies to my account to ensure I am covered if something were to happen (which was easy to do with Steve and his team). We all get insurance but it doesn't get tested until you have an incident and my first one happened last year when my car flooded. There were several issues with getting an assessor out to the repair shop to get the work approved and done and those delays had a downstream effect on needing to get my car rental extended and approved. Steve personally stepped in to help get the action and approvals needed to complete the work and paid for in full. For my home and car, I really appreciate the ability to call Steve, who is familiar with my account and who I trust to respond knowledgeably when I have questions or am considering making changes. (AND the company has a good online portal if I don't have questions and just want to check my policy or confirm my auto-pay.) Everyone there - Steve, Yolanda, Jose and Linda - have been doing a great job on all my insurance matters for decades. This is regarding signing up for renters insurance and changing the payment plan on a business day (M-F). I applied and was enrolled in the plan on the same day. I called two different times to change the plan to pay the full year for 2023 and a year later to change it to month-by-month for 2024 and it was done on the same day.
