I'm a local, and this was my first visit to Comedy Cabana. After hearing all the positive reviews,…read moreI was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I left wondering if we were all talking about the same place. The ticket says to arrive no later than 6:15 PM for a 7:00 PM show. We did exactly that, only to be herded into a small, overcrowded bar area for nearly an hour. There was one tiny bar trying to serve a packed room, and the bartenders moved at a pace that made the wait even more frustrating. By the time the show started, plenty of people were already visibly intoxicated. The waiting area itself felt old, dirty, and rundown. Two pool tables took up a huge amount of the available space, which made an already cramped situation even worse. Once seated in the showroom, things didn't improve. The tables are packed so tightly together that you have virtually no personal space. You're shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers the entire night. As for the comedy, there were three comedians. The headliner was fine, but the first two acts were rough. Humor is subjective, but judging by the lack of laughter around the room, I wasn't the only one struggling to find them funny. The biggest issue was the complete lack of control over the crowd. The tickets clearly state that drunk and disruptive patrons will be removed. That never happened. People were yelling, having personal conversations, talking, and creating constant distractions. At one point, a guy behind me answered his phone and carried on a full conversation during the show. Staff either didn't notice or didn't care. For a venue that emphasizes comedy, the biggest laughs of the night came from the disconnect between the rules printed on the ticket and what was actually allowed inside. As a local, I won't be back, and I genuinely don't understand where all these five-star reviews are coming from.

The plot was a bit confusing, but I feel the actors did a great job. Yes, they want you to laugh and have a good time. That's the point! And yes, if you need a hard drink, you'll have to go to the hotel bar to get one. The food, well it needs serious work. But again, I did not come for the food. I came to have fun with my friends and enjoy a unique experience. And that is exactly what I got. I would recommend this show. I am even considering going back to see if I can play a bit part. Very interactive and engaging! For entertaining purposes five stars! My only warning is be careful who you sit next to as they be the killer!

The actors should have mics!! And the food wasn't much better. The tortilla chips that were on the table for an appetizer were stale, and the entrees were mediocre, which all would have been fine if the performance we were there to see was fun. We were a group of 8 and so spent quite a bit of money. It ended up not being worth the money, so we left after the 2nd act.

Absolutely wonderful & intimate comedy show setting. This is an up close and personal experience,…read morewhich is harder to find in the past few years. This was our first visit and excited to come back! The building is attached to Kings BBQ for delicious before show bites. We went for their "Golden Hour" and loved every moment. Glad we got there early because the parking lot does fill up quickly. There is additional parking around the venue, if it's full when you arrive. The entrance leads directly into a large bar area, with seating along the whole counter. Basically this area is half of the building so is surprisingly large. They offer craft cocktails, local beers, and wine by the glass. The second half of the building is the stage and seating. Personal space is a premium here as every spot is used for the audience. We saw 3 two seaters tables along the back wall as welk as a few tables in the front row directly at the edge of the stage. Both areas are considered "upgraded" seating/tickets. Use that info when buying tickets. The rest of the seats (at least for our show) are open seating. My suggestion is not to wait too long to find seating once the doors open. Not that there is a bad seat, but I do like to have choices. We had two openers and the main headliner for our show. Everything ran smoothly, with good volume and pacing. They then had a merch area set up after the show, back in the lounge/bar area. This got a little extra cosy but everyone was respectful. We would 100% come back for another show!
