    a bowl of food

Came in to Steve's poke to try their Ono Ahi tuna. As part of their January deal, I got a signature bowl for $15.30 and added a scoop of Ala Moana ahi tuna for $2.80 The Ono Ahi was smooth, creamy with hints of sesame My favorite go-to base is half rice and half salad The size is perfect for a meal The staff were helpful and quick during the lunch rush at the Brentwood mall food court.

Great poke inside the Brentwood food court. The price is reasonable for the portion of food you get. The fish tasted fresh and I loved the toppings. I got the ahi tuna and got every free topping there was. It was yummy and lasted two meals!

Great poke option in the new Brentwood food court. Parking is available in the free lot surround the mall, as well as the paid underground lot. Staff were friendly and helpful. They guided me through the entire custom bowl selection process which is a bit involved. The good thing is a lot of things are included with this option, such as all the (15+) non meat options, as well as sauces. Made things a lot easier. The bowl was large and filling. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. I was satisfied. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point. Recommended.

A mix of Chinese and western food. Baked rice and pasta. Sandwiches. Bubble tea. Smoothies. There are promotions with daily special. You can order with the cashier or the self service checkout. I think it's faster to order with the cashier. You will get a beeper if you do. I ordered via self checkout as I didn't notice there's a cashier. It took me at least 5 mins as a first time customer to use the self check out kiosk due to the huge menu to scroll etc. I didn't have a beeper. Then I noticed people ordering from the cashier. They got their food faster than me. I asked about my order. Turned out it was sitting there at the back counter for a while. I had the chicken steak in black pepper sauce. It came with a huge portion of rice, fried egg and steam veggies. I added a HK milk tea which was nice. The food is enough for 2 small meals. It is pretty tasty. I like how it comes served with a lid so it is easier to take out or keep for leftovers. I think they need better or clearer instruction on the ordering process.

I was impressed that from one corner I spotted theatres, dining options, retailers, banks and a drug store. My favorite area is the huge outdoor plaza. Open sky, seating, dancing fountains and a waterfall. Nice even for pets. Perfect spot for having a coffee. Concierge, gift wrapping, coat and parcel check, escalators and elevators are available to enhance a guest's experience. There is a variety of retailers such as Urban Outfitter, L.L. Bean, Rogers, Sporting Life, Nike, Eyes Inspire and Sephora to name a few. Royal Bank, Van City Credit Union, Canada Post and Dental offices are some of the businesses that have set up shop here too. You have to have dining choices and there are over 30 right now to please the appetite. I've been to Japa Dog, Saboten and Cazba in their deluxe food court. All were surprisingly five star experiences......impressive for a grab and sit down casual meal! Earl's kitchen and Bar, Bow and Stern and Hello Nori are on my radar for my next visit. Pay parking seems to dominate the areas I've parked in my five visits to this center- unless you are visiting a financial institution for under 30 mins or have it validated by certain retailers like London Drugs. Tip: Remember where you parked. All the levels look the same! LOL

London drugs is also bigger and better here -- it recently reopened at a better location inside this mall with entry from the plaza and drew a huge crowd on the May re-opening date. I think Amazing Brentwood offers much better value since its opening and their ratings have gone up from 1 star in my books, ever since they updated their parking signage. I appreciate that they improved from their early opening days in 2022/2023. Now, it's easier to find their parking lots with free 3 hour parking and more convenient to pay via scanning of a QR code. In addition, there are four restaurants here that offer complimentary underground parking for 2 hours. Overall I am pleased with their service and they offer good value. It's amazing for convenience where it groups together good shopping brands like Lululemon and Sephora plus reputable Asian and Western cuisine such as Hadilao, Neptune, Earl's, Tap & Barrel, Bow & Stern, and La queria etc all in one location. I would recommend Brentwood for their spacious parking lots, cleaner food court environment, underground parkade on rainy days and for the various restaurants at Brentwood with happy hour options.

Whenever I'm in the area and craving a noodle soup, I'll get either the Laksa or Tom Yum soup base, with rice noodles, beef balls and enoki mushrooms. I went recently in March and decided to step outside of my comfort zone by ordering the beef dry noodle, and the reality of it was pretty true to the expectation --- dry ---. Haha. And flavourless. I'm glad I ordered my tried-and-true soup on the side because, without it, my throat might have been as dry as the Sahara. BUT I'm still glad I gave it a try because now my curiosity is gone! Mystery solved! And the milk tea & regular bubble waffle is always a hit. So, I repeat, Bubble Waffle Cafe gets the job done -- the perfect *medium* comfort food!

Fish noodle soup: you get to choose the type of noodle and soup base. I chose instant noodles with preserved veggie fish broth. The broth was salty but bland so I added some spicy oil, which wasn't spicy at all, just oily. Milk tea: their iced milk tea is really good, but today I ordered hot milk tea and it wasn't good at all. It was so watered down with zero milk tea flavour. Bubble waffle: this was the highlight of my meal. It was made fresh...the outside was crispy and the inside was chewy with a sweet eggy flavour.
