I used to opt for the pokerrito, but they realllly stuff it and it's been getting really messy, so now I usually go for the regular poke bowl. My favourite combos are their crab meat, edamame, cherry tomatoes, corn, tomago, pineapple and seaweed salad. I especially love how the crab meat tastes (and texture is) exactly like the ones I get from my favourite sushi place. You can choose between brown, white rice, salad, or a mix for the base. However, you just get their kale salad (an extra 1.50?), it's absolutely delicious. Their portion sizes aren't bad either, depending on who makes it. Service is hit or miss! Depending on who works, you'll either get great, good or mid service. I'd say I get at least good service 75% of the time, which is pretty high considering I go pretty often! My only real complaint is that their prices keep going up, up, up (yes I understand inflation) but their portions have been around the same or even less.

It's $2.80 to add an extra scoop of poke to any bowl (at least for now, I'm not sure if this is a limited time/promo thing). They have this house-made Hawaii Fruit Tea ($4), which missed the mark for me. There's a lot of ice, and it watered the drink down quite quickly. It sort of tasted like iced tea. Overall, decent price for poke and it tasted fresh! Flavours were also on point. Staff are super friendly, and the line moves quick. Compared to the locations on W 8th and Hornby, this location is more optimized for takeout; the seating is just stools at counters along the walls and for me the counter was awkwardly high compared to the height of the stool. It was also a little loud. If you're just getting takeout it doesn't make a difference because the food is consistent between all locations, but I would recommend the other location downtown (or the W 8th location if that's in range) for a more comfortable dine-in experience. I tried the Diamond Head pokerrito and subbed out the spicy tuna for the vegan tuna. It's still not a vegan meal if you do this because there are other seafood ingredients in the wrap, but I wanted to try the vegan tuna. It was delicious but very messy because the pokérrito is essentially a giant sushi roll and not sealed at the ends. You kind of have to keep it wrapped in the paper while you eat it but there's no graceful way to eat the ends. I really enjoyed the flavours of this even if I had to get my hands dirty though. The vegan tuna is pretty good. The texture is close enough to real tuna that I wouldn't have noticed it was different if I didn't know. I also got a tiramisu. When I ordered, the person making my order informed me that it was still frozen but it was still good frozen, like ice cream. So I decided that I'd try it and it was pretty good as a frozen dessert except the large ladyfingers at the bottom were slower to soften and hard to scoop out. The coffee soaked into the ladyfingers was pretty strong and the bitterness was a nice contrast with the mascarpone cream. Their prices are very reasonable. The pokérrito and tiramisu came out to $19.90.
