I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). I had taken my watch to a major clock and repair business in the Berea, Ohio area. For years they replaced my battery and pins in the band, always telling me that its not the pins, but the hole had widen and it will keep falling out. The last time they did not put the battery in right and bent the hour hand. I thought my favorite expensive watch was broke. My wife new how much I like my watch and for christmas bought me an expensive watch. I liked it but liked my old watch more. I called the jewelry shop and they informed me about Basch's repair business. It turned out the reason my watch was not working correctly, is the hour hand was bent when the other store put in the last battery (young know it all man). Basch's watch repair expert realized there was a broken pin stuck in the pin hole, and unbent the hour hand. Watch looks and works like the day I bought it ten years ago. I never got any call, never received any sort of heads up or anything. It became my responsibility to make sure their business was running properly. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any store. For $900, I would have expected a little courtesy from the store to keep me informed on my order. All they cared about was swiping my money. The Great Lakes Mall should be ashamed of themselves for allowing such criminals to rent a spot in their mall.
