I'm not sure what to say about Steven Kia... ranking is split between Kia and Toyota.. I received a safety recall notice for my car and went to the Steven Kia website. The website said to call or text (a number) to schedule the recall service appt. I texted twice with no response and then tried calling the number with the "response" on the other end says 'The person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time...' I go to the chat on the website and ask for someone from service to contact me and the reason why. I get a text from sales...and explain my issue. She schedules my appt for me, telling me that they'll see me at the Kia location. Another text from that same number 10min later saying someone from service would be in touch with me and that my appt would be at the Toyota location. Then I requested someone from service to contact me and Logan called me within a few minutes. He was able to clear up all the confusion I was going through in that 1hr timeframe!! ------------------ Now to Toyota...Will was my advisor. Once I figured out where I was supposed to check in for my appt, it was smooth sailing. Though I was told (in one of my many scheduling interactions) to allot 3.5 hours for my appt, Will got me in and out in about an hour! WELL before the time I was told! The Toyota service center (failed to get pictures) is clean with plenty of seating. There's even a coffee and pastry area, along with other drinks and snacks for purchase!! read more

I personally give Melissa in the service department 5 stars plus. Very friendly and helpful. Garage mechanic a 0. I took my car there to get my car inspected and an oil change.......(I had an appointment and ended up there for 2 solid hours) They want wanted me to pay almost $300 for a seven point type inspection witch I declined... I live on a fixed income and couldn't afford to do. So a little later I got a message from the mechanic and he was trying to to show me, that I needed 2 new tires which they where wanting to charge me over $300 ( that must be the magic number for the day) so I told them to put a rejection sticker on it and I'd take it somewhere else.... Someone had looked at my tires a couple days earlier and was told they should pass inspection! I was pissed. So I took it to Walmart and I had the guy check my tires and I explained to him what had happened and he did say it was a gray area but it should have passed inspection. So I went ahead and got 2 tires for less than $200. I've heard so may complaints about them but I went there anyways! I had even gotten this car from there.... NEVER AGAIN! read more

I located a car I wanted to possibly. buy but wanted to check with my credit union about their rate. I test drove it on a Sat. afternoon and was contacted as promised by the salesman Armando on Monday AM. I set an appointment to go back and take a final look as promised I could by Thomas the sales manager. 40 minutes prior to the time Armando texted to confirm I was coming and I said yes. When I arrived exactly on time, the car had just been test driven by someone. I went in and was informed that I would be 2nd in line behind the person who had just driven it. WHAT?? I had the appointment, confirmed and was on time but instead of having the right of first refusal I was placed second. The car sold and I was left out while they tried to appease me by trying to interest me in a different model. I spent 1-1/2 hrs. the first trip and then wasted another hour, before finally being told I wouldn't be getting the car. Had I not reconfirmed my intent and had been late or some combination I could easily see these events playing out. But having done both, and still getting the shaft makes me wonder about how they may treat you after the sale. I've spent a career in commission sales and I've seen others eat their own, but I feel both myself and Armando were screwed by management. I was even told by Thomas the sales manager after he returned to the dealership that I would have first right and he went in to check. 10 mins later he came out to say I wouldn't be getting it. ricardo was extremely nice and a good salesman, but otherwise do not recommend whatsoever. I bought a used Kia and had to get my entire rear differential replaced within a month of me buying the car and putting less than 1,000 miles on it. they knew about the issue with the diff and withheld that information from me, and when my car broke down tried to charge me over $3,000 to fix it. i refused to pay that but they still charged $200 for a "diagnostic" even though we heard the mechanic say all he did was drain the oil and found metal, and that he didn't even get to the root of the issue. Sticker price on the car was for 25k and some change me and my husband test drove this car and Fell In Love! We were in the process of running numbers so we could purchase the car. We would have bought this car today. BUT they came back and said.... "They were selling the car for 27k" The payments were insane and everything was out of the price range. So instead of working with us and helping us out they raised! the price 2k more . The purpose of this review is to just warn people. If you see a car in the lot that you are interested Don't! trust the sticker price! and before falling in love ask what they are selling the car. Just wasted two hours of ours lives plus gas. Had been looking at a used car they had online. Sales person Mary, called us at 9:30 am to tell us it had not sold last night. We drove up an hour walked in and was immediately handed off to someone else. He looked at his computer went and stood in another office for 3 minutes came back and told us that last night when a customer drove it an engine light came on and the dealer could not figure out what was wrong, (no diagnostic machine?) oh and that the car wasn't even on property. Absolutely unacceptable. Dishonesty and lies are not good for sales. They should be embarrassed. read more

Very good experience and Sai, salesperson, was very helpful, attentive. Knowledgeable about the vehicles and we ended with trading in out old truck for new Sportage. Only issue I had is finance manager did my transfer of old tags. When registration arrived it was a new tag, I wanted the transfer of old tag as I had renewed it for 2 years. This cost me a it extra. First off they only gave us 300 towards a trade, second the rear differential is going out and when we took it to a mechanic he told us it would cost around 3000 to fix with labor, third it has been wrecked so as far a clean history that's a lie. I'd give no stars if I could. No hard feelings, honestly just disappointed that this dealership wasted so much of my time. I inquired about a rather cheap Volkswagon. They told me that "we think we can help you out!" being very cheery and optimistic about a realistic monthly payment. I was told that they would be able to drop it off Monday morning. Turns out they forgot Monday was a holiday, which is just unprofessional, especially for a car dealership. Finally hear from them today, only to be told that my monthly payment would be $450+ over 32 months, rather than the 72 months they had offered at first. This car was $12k. Those are absurd numbers for a 2012. These people won't help you, don't go here to buy a car if you have any kind of budget. They will try to drip you dry. Would be less than one star if possible. Overall, my experience has been a total disrespect of my time and position. Their "Sell Us Your Car Program" is nothing but a hoax/scam to lure people into their dealership. I had my car listed for sale on cars.com. Steven Kia (Tanner and Abner) contacted me, by text, offering to buy my car. They also called me and I made it clear that my intention was to sell an extra car and not replace it. They provided their website and I naturally checked out their "Sell Us Your Car" program to avoid any possible scam/hoax. They also asked if an amount was agreed upon, if the distance to their dealership would be an issue. I said it was not. I understand from visiting the dealership that Tanner and Abner are family of the dealership owners; one would think they would know the business inside and out and a "mistake" such as what I experienced wouldn't have happened. They were provided photos of the car, the VIN, all options, and mileage of the vehicle. They offered a ballpark window (sight unseen) and when I asked if more could be offered, they consulted their manager and reported back to me a "top" number. This was acceptable to me so naturally I drove an hour and a half to the dealership to receive the official offer once they could evaluate my car in person. My understanding is that Tanner and Abner do not work weekends but a manager would appraise my car and I was asked if I could wait 30 min to have this completed. I agreed. After waiting about 25 min, the dealership representative (non-manager) tried to explain that a "mistake" was made and that my car was "too nice" and "one of a kind" and they could not make me an offer. However, he apologetically offered me a cup of coffee for my hour and a half ride home but no decency to have a manager talk with me. While still at the dealership, I asked to be contacted by someone about this experience and also I sent a text back to the string with their offer asking to be contacted about this experience. I was driving from NY to my home in TN and my car broke down on the interstate in Harrisonburg, VA. It was Sunday, I had to spend the night in a hotel as the dealership was closed. The next morning I contacted Steven Kia where my car was towed to. They told me they had my car and were working on it. I went to the dealership using their courtesy van and was told that my radiator cap was off on and my coolant had all spilled out and that caused my car to overheat. We paid $122.01 to them and left. 453 miles down the interstate my check engine light came on and the car started shaking. I called roadside and they towed me to another dealership who told me that my head gasket had blown and there was coolant in my oil. They replaced the head gasket and my car was tied up for almost two weeks. I called back to Steven Kia to ask for a refund on my $122.01 since they did not fix the problem. According to Matt the Service manager and son of Steven. They stand behind their work and refused to accept any blame stating that the notes on the report say my coolant cap was loose. (Wait, look back they said my cap was completely off) I asked if it was loose or off. He again stated it was loose. What happened was they put a band-aid on the car to avoid them from doing the 2 week repair job that should have been done. And now they refuse to pay me back my $122.01 that they charged me for not fixing a problem. I urge you to NOT do business with this company. They DO NOT stand behind their service work.
