I came in today for service due to a recall that I received on my vehicle a few weeks ago. When I called Dana Ford in Staten Island I was told the next available appointment was in February of 2023 which obviously would not work for me! I immediately called this location to inquire about their next available appointment and was given an appointment for the following week! Upon arriving, I was a little confused upon pulling up since the Service area is pretty jam packed with cars and multiple other vehicle but after circling the block I then realized I could pull my vehicle in. I was greeted by Erica, who I actually spoke with on the phone, and she immediately got me settled and explained what I would expect. I was a little early for my appointment but they had me in and out in a little over an hour! Came in today to close the deal after all prices were agreed on previously. On closing, they made us wait multiple hours and would not print the breakdown of explaining the breakdown of the payments until the very end. The monthly payment increased so did the rest of the fees that were already previously agreed on. Taking this off my Google post I made in June: Very rarely do I write a one-star review, but this place is terribly deserving of it. I had come in with a very obvious vacuum leak and they were insistent that they had to charge me and itemize every little action that led up checking the vacuum leak.They argued and said "because the check engine light goes on and off, it's probably not the case but we will have to charge you just to see the issue", which is reasonable, but the car at that point in time was less than two years old bought new so well under warranty for a check engine light. Well, needless to say, it was a vacuum leak when I checked elsewhere. I was happy with any of the mechanics I met, which is important to note. However, their attempted predatory sales tactics and misinformation by the sales staff is shameful at best. I was attempted to be personally reached out to which I declined, but then I started getting mailing about trading my car in from the sales department, despite knowing full well my review. Spoke to Maria a nasty girl with an attitude telling me about some privacy crap meanwhile I did the application online and all she keeps telling me is you have to come down in person , well before I come down in person tell me if I qualify for something so I'm not wasting my time, I'm a business owner, and Lord knows I would not hire that girl. Then tells me we ran the app and you would need $10,000 down and we are charging above MSRP. Take a look at this crap then advertised. That's deff false advertising. Even the salesman was helpful, the sales manager, I think the name was Stavos needs to be fired and never work in customer service again unless it's a McDonald's drive throu (maybe). The guy refused several requests to return my trades keys after the deal was refused by me and then started to berate me for not taking the deal. I went to this location on Saturday, 11/12/22 with plans to purchase/lease a Ford. The cars I was interested in looking at (Ford Edge ST or Titanium & Ford Escape Titanium) were NOT on their property. I saw a Ford Escape Basic in their showroom, but that was not helpful because it did not display any of the features that I wanted. I spoke to the Gerard, sales rep diligently about what I wanted in my vehicle and how much I wanted my monthly payment to be. I asked him to provide me with the TOTAL cost which included EVERYTHING!!! After speaking with his finance team, he comes back to me with a quote on a Ford Escape Titanium (remember now, I haven't seen any vehicles) that is MORE than the monthly payment I wanted. I was very upset and walked out to get some air. When I returned, one of the Finance guys, named Moe came to me and had a conversation. He stated that if I could put a couple thousand more dollars down, they could make my money payments close to where I wanted to be. So, I did. Mind you, I still haven't seen ANY vehicles because they didn't have any on their lot. Long story short, I gave them a good faith deposit and was waiting for them to bring the vehicle(s) over from their sister location on Long Island. The vehicle still had NOT reached the location by Monday, 11/14/22 at 2pm when I arrived there to see it. Gerard told me lie after lie about the vehicle being transported. I stated to him that I was no longer interested in a Ford Escape at all because I believe it would be too small and that I would prefer another Ford Edge (since that is the vehicle I currently have). He walks to his finance team to discuss and returns to me stating that they said, it's too late, I cannot change my mind. Are they serious right now???!!! I can change my mind about ANY VEHICLE I WANT TO PURCHASE/LEASE!!! I have NOT SIGNED ANY documentation!!!! When I state to Gerard that I CAN IN FACT change my mind, the finance guy (whose name I didn't get) told him that I can switch to the Ford Edge but I would have to make sure that I have my first months payment when I sign the documents. Now mind you, they ALREADY have thousands of my dollars as a down payment, so I had ABSOLUTELY no intentions on giving ANY more money. That first payment should have been included in the money they received from me. Nonetheless, I DID NOT PURCHASE a vehicle from them for several reasons, but MAIN one is that they DID NOT HAVE what I wanted (not even at their sister location)!!! Therefore I stated to them that I am no longer interested in purchasing from them and I wanted a refund. They have declined to give me a refund and I had to contact Ford Motor Company to report them, as well as Motor Vehicle & my credit card company, who is investigating them. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! They DO NOT have your best interest at heart!!! Extremely unprofessional dealership. Please DO NOT go here . I was selling my car and they had an appointment for me to bring the car to show. I sent in the pics , price, VIN number and all details. They setup the appointment to see. I drove over 40 mins to reach them. Once i reached, one of the brokers asked me about the details and mentioned he would talk to his manager. He comes back out and mentions that they are not interested in buying it even without a simple inspection. I am not sure if this is some lowballing sleazy dealership technique but i didnt have the time to entertain this BS. Once i started leaving, he asks me "Oh how much did you want for the car BTW" . I said , if you ain't interested , there is no point in that question. Extremely sleazy dealership. Please beware of the shady tactics. Bottom Line Up Front: there is no reason whatsoever to shop here, unless you like wasting time, and being fleeced of your hard-earned money. Over the years, this dealership has had numerous name changes, ownership changes, employee turnover. And each time they try to "reset" their reputation, things only get worse. Case in point -- I was interested in a '23 Maverick XL, which is the bare bones trim level. The sales manager must think it's still 2021, because they want $3000 - $10000 over MSRP. As of this writing (6/24/23), Ford Corporate has spent the last 20 months highly discouraging this practice, seems like Steven's Ford doesn't care. I will gladly drive 40 miles away, to another Ford dealer, that does not mark-up prices, or add bogus fees, like this place does. DO NOT COME TO THIS SHADY, SKETCHY CAR DEALERSHIP CALLED STEVEN'S JERSEY CITY FORD! THIS PLACE HAS AT LEAST TWENTY 1 STAR REVIEWS FOR A REASON. I got my car door dented here and new scratches for no reason!!! And none of them wanted to admit that they did it!! My husband sent our car here just to check the "check engine light" and have it turned off. Initially scheduled an appointment so that we would not have to leave the car with them overnight, but we ended up having to leave the car with them overnight anyway, even though we needed the car for work and called them the whole day to get the car back but absolutely nobody answered. My husband had to uber back home for something that could be done in 15 mins!! Somebody even called my husband to sell the car later, to appraise the car when he obviously is not selling it!! Such a disorganized Ford dealership.  When my hubby came to fetch the car the next day, the lady (pic included) at the desk was so indifferent, rude and callous to my husband  and said it was his fault that it was already there. My husband can't be too stupid not recognizing if he created a dent on the driver's seat car door which was so obvious!! On top of that, when he came to get fetch the car, no one, not even a mechanic came to show him the car - it was just sitting on the other side of the street unattended by nobody! How impersonal!! Only gave him keys without asking for his ID, how unprofessional! What if somebody else with enough money just asks for the car with no ID??? She told me he has to speak to the manager (which later on looked like Kingpin and Lex Luthor) tomorrow. The next day, when we both came, the lady was suddenly so nice and well-demeanoured! The manager, Todd (the one that looked like Kingpin) was so fake and nice trying to comment on the wind and weather to sweeten things up as if I'm not so bright. A lot like Kingpin, he is a downright bulls****er. When we showed our car, he defended himself by saying if he did it or his staff did it, it would have blue or yellow streaks next to it. And that he would check his CCTV on Monday and as if he would call after which I don't think he had any intention of doing. Without us looking at the CCTV?? What if he falsifies things and just take a random unmoving screenshot from CCTV ?? And on top of that, he was rude to me, not looking at my face as I was talking about how much I love this car that I bought with my own money and how would he feel if he is in the same situation as me.  How dare this place invalidate my husband's plea as if he was high or something if he did a very palpable, possibly loud sounding dent on the driver's side  door?? And a place like this should have a place to mend simple dents.. Shame on Todd and the lady!! Shame on Steven's Ford Services. Summary: "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious" I was in the market to buy a new Mustang Mach-E. I came to this dealership first since it was the closest one to me. They didn't seem to have their inventory in order - first telling me that they had the car in stock, but when I got there they said they didn't actually have it (wasted an hour of my day between going back/forth + waiting for them to search their inventory - no big deal...) A few days later, they said they would be getting one in stock, but were charging $10k over the window sticker price. Unfortunately, this dealership was not the only dealer in this area to be inflating the price of the car above MSRP (a practice which Ford Corporate has already started to crack down on), but it was the most egregious. I was eventually able to find a Mach-E at a different dealership nearby at a pre-negotiated price below MSRP (through the Ford X Plan from my employer - which this Stevens dealership would also not honor). I am now the proud owner of a new Mustang Mach-E - and I will definitely NOT be taking my car in to this dealership for any kind of servicing based on their sales practices. read more

The GPS on my mustang was acting up so I made an appointment weeks in advance to have it checked and get an oil change while I was at it. I was told it usually took "2-3 days" for diagnosis and repair. I left my car first thing Wednesday morning. When I hadn't heard anything about things were going on Thursday, I made a call to check in. Left a message for Erica--my service advisor who was "not at her desk." A few hours later, I called back to check in since I hadn't heard anything. Erica had "stepped away" and they were leaving a message for her. Since it was getting towards the end of the day, I made one more call before the shop closed and "just missed her." Fine--I figured I would hear back Friday. I called Friday morning. Erica was "not available." Becoming annoyed at this point, I began calling back around every hour just to see if I could catch her. I left messages. I spoke to other people. No one knew what was going on with my car. Every time I called, Erica was "unavailable." I saw the office where the service advisors work when I left my keys--it's a small room with 4 computers that all face each other. It can't be that hard to get a message to Erica to call back a customer. But still nothing. Finally, annoyed that I was a paying customer who was absolutely being ignored and treated like garbage, I began making numerous calls through the rest of the dealership until I finally annoyed enough people that Erica decided she might as well call me back. Turns out, absolutely nothing had been done to my car 3 days after I left and despite numerous calls to check on it. Disgusted and irate, I went and picked up my car and will be taking my business elsewhere. And I advise all other people to do the same. This dealership doesn't care about customer service. It doesn't care about good relationships with patrons. Employees are just passing time and collecting a check. All it would have taken was one phone call to me after I left messages to say...sorry, we're running behind. Things are taking longer than expected. We probably can't work on your car until Monday. I'm understanding and that would have been fine. I would have left my car and gave the dealership my money after the service was complete. But when a paying customer leaves dozens of phone calls just to check on something that could be dealt with with a one minute return phone call, and nobody has the courtesy to even call you back, that's not cool. Avoid this place at all costs. Terrible customer service. Terrible worker attitudes. And terrible Erica, who is too busy--or just doesn't care--to ever call you back or see how your car is doing. During the height of the pandemic I was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer .Stevens had my 10 year old car , with only about 40,000 miles, in for repairs for nearly two weeks,"waiting for parts". When I asked for a loaner car so that I could get to the hospital for my treatments, I was told that they had none. No effort was extended at all to help me do so. Today I experienced exceptional service that really made a difference. Took my vehicle in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. I was late to my appointment and it was no problem. Took a little longer than expected, but the staff was extremely friendly and courteous. My patience was rewarded when I was gifted the oil change at no charge. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP Read other reviews also, this place is awful. If you don't believe me go in with a tape recorder for the entire sale, and any phone calls you have with them. 1. BIGGEST CONCERN: I was told by Anthony and a Manager in person and again by Anthony over the phone that in every lease agreement $500 worth of damages will be deducted from my total charges. They said is used to be $1000, now its $500, and with my new lease it will be $250. I was also told if I renewed my lease I would be given an additional $300. Do the math $500 + $300 = $800 taken off my damages total. I was quoted $900 of damages at another auto body shop before bringing my car into Ford. So getting $800 off of my bill seemed like a no brainer, except I was completely scammed and lied to over and over for about 3 months by multiple people sales reps/managers. I got a bill for almost $1600 and was only offered $300 for the renewal of a lease agreement. When I called to ask about my bill I was told they can't do anything I needed to contact Ford Credit, so I did, and Ford Credit told me it's up the the dealership. I spoke with manager Stavros Diamantidis, and voiced my concerns. He told me he would get back to me. I waited two weeks and called back, he said he hadn't spoke with the owner yet. So I waited another 2 weeks, still nothing from Ford in Jersey City. I called back and this went on for 3 months. When I finally got a hold of Stavros, his exact words were, I submitted a claim for $300 of damages to be removed from your bill. I mentioned again that I was promised $500 damages / $300 lease renewal. He said he was sorry I was lied to and the manager that lied to me was since fired, and that he would speak with the sales man. Regardless I was promised a price, and the dealership is not holding true to the agreement. He said "Listen you're going to have to pay for it, I didn't make the damages on your car, and I didn't force you to sign a new contract with us". I repeated "your staff told me that was the deal I agreed to" and he said again "I can't help you, you signed the contract, whats done is done, the manger that told you that was fired" Even so, Ford should have honored the deal that was made even if it was false information. I shouldn't be the one who has to pay for their staff's mistake. I said again I understand staff makes mistakes but this mistake is costing me $500. He said "I don't know what to tell you, we are not paying it" Then I asked to speak with another manager, and he said "no one else here can help you" I repeated it " can I please speak with another manager" and again he said "no, there is no one else that you can speak with" I wouldn't be so upset because I had all intentions of fixing my car on my own time, and I was lied to so I would renew my lease, and now I have to pay even more than I would have originally had to pay for because 2 staff members lied to me multiple times. 2. FROM THE BEGINNING: Ford called me and said "bring your car in for an early lease return, and see our new cars" I told them I could not because I had the car quoted for damages and I need to get it fixed first. A sales rep asked what the damages were and I told him broken side mirror, and dented front fender. He said "that's not bad we can take care of that for you, just come down, you get money off thats included in your lease terms" 3. When the sales rep Anthony came over to give me pricing, I said "that looks funny, what's the sales tax, whats the total percent I am paying for the car..." Once I started doing the math for myself and asking all the right questions, the sales rep Anthony said "oh sorry I made a mistake" He took the paper right from under my fingers and took it over to a different desk. 4. I was coached to giving a good survey by sales rep Anthony. I have proof via voicemail. Also in person told by Anthony "if the survey asks if you went back to meet the service guys, just say yes, it's not important". 5. I drove around with expired temp plates because when I went to the dealership to pick up my plates I was told the information was never sent over to the DMV. When I told them I felt uncomfortable driving with expired plates they said "just tell the cops it was our mistake, they will understand". 6. There were damages to the car I was going to lease, and was told by sales rep / manager that it would be fixed when I picked the car up. The huge scratch was still there, and their way of "fixing" it was telling me they made a note on my account that it was like that when I leased the car. Imagine leasing a nice new car with a nasty scratch on it. 7. I had no screws to even put on my plates when I finally got them, I had to spend an additional $25 to get screws and a plate boarder for my car. I cannot stress enough what horrible place this is. I would give it 0 stars if I could. My elderly mother brought the car in for a check-engine light. The car was running OK, it just needed a minor repair. While it was there, thieves broke in and stole $200.00 worth of merchandise out of the car. They made no attempt to replace the items, thought they did fix the window. OK, maybe not their fault. But what is their fault is that THEY DID NOT FIX THE CAR. The car can no longer climb a hill and gives off a smell of exhaust in the cabin. We brought the car back. It returned in the exact condition it came in, weak, smelly and with a check engine light still on. Also, it reported it was time for an oil change, another thing they lied and said they did. The service department of this dealership is run by crooks and liars. Stay away. My poor mother bought this car when they couldn't fix her previous car, they couldn't wait to unload it on her, now I know why. You walk in, and you'll almost always see a fleet of Jersey City Police Department cars and Jersey City Hospital ambulances. Their apparent contract in servicing these municipal vehicles is their sole success and priority. Otherwise a customer coming off the street, beware. First and foremost the servicing department has purposely a faulty contact phone number / system. It is designed to fail at actually speaking to someone in the servicing department and discourage making appointments. I've been a customer for a minimum of four different services (minimum oil change) more severe and seriously, an ongoing shutting off of my car WHILE driving - and this is a problem unresolved by Erica and her team for over a year. Can you imagine leaving the garage after awaiting your vehicle for several days and as soon as you fill up the gas tank, and drive a mile or two, the car shuts off again?? The most disturbing aspect is, the car is just like the way the car was, when initially brought in and after paying thousands of dollars to still have the SAME problem UNresolved for proper repairs for THREE DIFFERENT TIMES!! Truly think about the car frighteningly shutting off while driving on the 440 highway three different times, just while leaving supposedly serviced from Steven's Ford Dealership!!! I researched and Stevens Ford has BBB filed claims against the business with an F rating in the refusal to register and be held accountable by the BBB. Current status, in December 2021, I brought in my car, to hold Erica in the servicing department accountable for the unresolved issued. Calls were ignored, voice messages unreturned, no follow-ups, no updates, no communication. I had to take time from work, Uber over and literally track Erica down for any status of my car. By this point she had my car for FIVE MONTHS without a single courtesy call of an update, along with a faulty, backed up, and unanswered department phone line!! When I had to hunt her down in person, my car was neglected in being repaired and items from my car were taken. I left brand new cases of bottled water in the back, and apparently her staff invaded my property and helped themselves to a bottle. I dropped of my car December 2021, Erica is evading concluding matters discussed and agreed upon, with her gross negligence to my vehicle, It is ELEVEN MONTHS LATER. I live in Maryland and was attempting to purchase a car from Steven's Jersey City Ford. I spoke the the salesman and told him I'm out of state and would like to buy the car and have it shipped to Maryland. He said that was fine. I asked him if they were OK with a pre-purchase inspection. They said they were. The pre-purchase inspection was performed the same day for 195.00 (my cost). I was fine with the report and wanted to purchase the car. At that point the sales person said it was company policy that I had to come to their dealership, in person, in order to purchase the car. I asked if there was any electronic signing or fax option or even if they could ship the paperwork over night. They said no I had to come into the dealership, in person, to purchase the vehicle. Brought in my Focus ST for service and to fix the windshield wiper motor. They did the service and I left the car a few days to fix the wipers. When I picked up my car the invoice stated that the technician could not verify my concern. I didn't leave it there for 2 days as a joke. They never called me to ask what my concern may have been, but they did call me to say the work was done. Maybe they could have asked me at that point. Before I went to pick it up. They did apologize for their stupidity, but didn't seem to care much more than that. Please, Ford owners, boycott this unprofessional, third rate dealer. I liked them for the convenience at first, but it's no longer worth it. Gonna find a new Ford Service place. I just hope they did the oil change properly. Also, they did manage to break the lumbar motor last time I was there. Seems like every time I bring it in, it leaves with a new problem. Lastly, when I picked up my car it smelled like the technicians had been spraying their cheap cologne all over the seats. I had to roll the windows down on my drive home to breathe. Truly think about the car frighteningly shutting off while driving on the 440 highway three different times, just while leaving supposedly serviced from Steven's Ford Dealership!!! I researched and Stevens Ford has BBB filed claims against the business with an F rating in the refusal to register and be held accountable by the BBB. Current status, in December 2021, I brought in my car, to hold Erica in the servicing department accountable for the unresolved issued. Calls were ignored, voice messages unreturned, no follow-ups, no updates, no communication. I had to take time from work, Uber over and literally track Erica down for any status of my car. By this point she had my car for FIVE MONTHS without a single courtesy call of an update, along with a faulty, backed up, and unanswered department phone line!! When I had to hunt her down in person, my car was neglected in being repaired and items from my car were taken. I left brand new cases of bottled water in the back, and apparently her staff invaded my property and helped themselves to a bottle. I dropped of my car December 2021, Erica is evading concluding matters discussed and agreed upon, with her gross negligence to my vehicle, It is OVER ELEVEN MONTHS LATER. Made appointment to see Mach E and was told in stock so drive a hour only to find out the car was sold and not in stock . Keep in mind I already confirmed before come to this dealer that they have it. No call or anything and wasted my time. Once inside waited 15min without any greeting. Finally a sale person came to greet us and told me Mach E was sold a day before . The manager was rude and made a comment that if I want it I should leave a deposit. I have been having my car serviced here since the purchase date. Although ownership of the dealer has changed, I continue. It is expert service and professional customer service. In addition the customer shuttle, breakfast gift certificate and the personal consults makes me feel like a valued customer. Thank you for being in my hometown and your service. I purchased a car in 2015 and it's been hell ever since the customer service is horrible they messed up my paperwork I was without my vehicle being that I didn't have my plates for two months I just went back in today to look at the mach e mustang truck and all the vehicles are upsell $6500 more than what's on the tag and I was treated very weird like I wasn't coming to make a purchase he didn't even try to sell me the car he said that that's the only one available and it won't last they didn't even ask me to have a seat to check my credit or anything when I have enough money to purchase the car in cash I do not recommend this dealership go somewhere else read more

BATE and SWITCH! They had a ford advertised on their site so we made an appointment for 10am (which they called to confirm before we got there). We finally get there and there was no vehicle to view! We Came from Brooklyn and paid 2 tolls, over an hour away with a baby. Dishonest Dealership! we tried to look past it and see if we liked other vehicles and all they were showing us was vehicles that were 5k-8k above our price! No Thanks! Liars! STOLE ~$1k WORTH OF PROPERTY FROM MY VEHICLE I dropped my car off here on a Monday. No one even started to diagnose the vehicle till I called the following Wednesday (day 3) to ask for a status (where I had to then reexplain what was wrong with the vehicle). Called back Thursday (day 4) to discover that work had been started on my car without my permission (e.g. no price quote discussion, no approval from me to begin the work). Service Department is a nightmare! Picked my car up the following Saturday (day 6) and discovered that roughly $1K worth of equipment had been STOLEN FROM MY TRUNK. NO SIGNS OF FORCED ENTRY, NO BROKEN WINDOWS, MY KEYS AND CAR IN THEIR POSSESSION FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK. The service manager basically told me that 'sh&% happens' and provided no support whatsoever. I had to call the police, file a report, was there for ~4 hours. To boot, they DID NOT EVEN FIX WHAT I BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE. A customer support rep eventually called my cell weeks later, and had no knowledge of the incident, and asked me 'what I thought about their service?' LOL! I'd initially written a longer, detailed review of my experience at Stevens Jersey City Ford's Service Department, but decided to shorten it up. Let me begin by saying that the department cashier was the only saving grace of this whole joint, which accounts for the additional star I've given them. The "service adviser", on the other hand was fresh out of manners and didn't have the first friggin clue about anything remotely resembling customer service. Anyway, it not only took them 2 1/2 weeks to fix my car, they either dodged or did not return my calls the entire time. When I finally retrieved my car, I was issued 2 new duplicate keys, but no original. That's when I realized they'd taken all that time to fix my car because they'd lost the damn key and were too dysfunctional to expeditiously make duplicates In short, this "service department" blows like a Category 5 and is pretty much a low-rent hack shack. So if you suffer the great misfortune of having to bring your automobile to these people - lo siento. read more
