I enjoyed the coffee and sandwich. Considering the price i'd recommend for sure. Also the music is nice.

Good study spot, varies in busyness but there are definitely quieter times if that's what you prefer. Sandwiches are pretty good too.

Probably my favorite coffee shop on campus. Large, cozy, good music (most of the time) that's played at a moderate volume so it's still possible to study, and LOTS of food/snack/drink options, whether you're in there for breakfast, lunch, a snack or just a coffee, Stevenson Coffee Shop will do you right. A favorite of mine is a toasted bagel with turkey, avo and jack cheese. SO EFFING DELICIOUS. They're famous fudgies are also amazing with coffee (lots of coffee choices btw) and a must-try are their cheesecake brownies. Seriously can't say enough good things about this place. Best place to eat on campus. They have bagels, sandwiches, drinks, coffee, and a nice atmosphere to sit and study in. I always like the music and the treats they have are great. The signature fudgies are amazing! its like a fudge bar cookie combo and if you havent had one yet you need to. only issues I have are that it can get busy and they aren't open on saturdays. read more

I love this place. It is sometimes overly crowded and can get too hot, and sure- the couches may or may not give you scabies. But this is college- everything is questionable. It can be easy to get sick of sandwiches and salads but the price is SO right. $3-$4 for a sandwich and $4 for a half sandwich and small salad?! delicious. They offer maybe 10 different sandwiches but you can switch them up however you want to. They are pretty flexible with what you can do. Lots of baked goods, including fudgies! Salad: lettuce, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, cucumber, fake bacon bits, crutons, yum! They offer sandwiches, bagels, salads, soup, chips, tea, coffee, milkshakes, ice cream, et al. Pretty fab. PROS: prices and cute workers. CONS: It can be overly crowded and stuffy, especially when the weather is hot. The furniture, like i said, can be kind of gross, but comfortable. read more

This is the best cafe on campus! Unfortunately it took me until my 4th year at UCSC to discover it, but the vibe is really chill and cozy. They're also open for long hours throughout the day which is great because it's always a race against time when trying to get something from one of the Perks cafes before they close. Like all places that serve food on campus, it's overpriced, but if you don't feel like spending money, it's great to just hang out, read, and wait for class. I actually fell asleep while sitting on the couch once... just so cozy and warm there! Perfect for the rainy days of fall and winter quarters. read more

Certainly the best place on campus to get the "cafe experience". The coffee's good; the food's acceptable. Even though the place isn't small, you're lucky to find a seat; the patio is nice though. Cash only is a bummer, and the hours are too. I'm sure they'd get enough business if they stayed up on weekends, but alas. Despite all this, I'd frequent it more often if it wasn't so out of the way. read more

Stevenson Coffee Shop is great! They have reasonable prices, good coffee, and fresh bagels. I really like the hummus, which is really different than your average store bought hummus, its less smooth and it has parsley. The best place to be on campus. The employees are sexy, the food is delish, and the music is hip to the tee. If you're full of cash or flexi's (only), and want a sandwich that has fresh whole wheat bread and REAL avocado, maybe some less-than process turkey, come here. Or maybe you want a quiche and chocolate covered strawberries for breakfast? Sometimes I do, and they occasionally serve these things at this lovely coffee house as if it's catered just for me! Not to mention their coffee is very good (best on campus). Other perks: lots of couches, tables, and outside seating. Open mike nights sometimes, and a lounge in the back of the shop with arcade games (maybe broken down, but still cool) and soda/food machines if you're feeling more junky. read more

LOVE. The only place on campus that gives off a hipster, cafe vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating among a mini garden. Food: love their sandwiches and small pastries. Coffee is delicious too, with several choices to choose from. If you don't want coffee, they have a large selection of cold beverages as well. I swear they make their food with love; it's so good. They're also super fast! Great for on the go. Dining in provides actual plates/cups/bowls instead of paper. It's a bit expensive, but if you're a student on campus...use your flexis! I absolutely love the environment that this cafe has, best cafe on campus in my opinion. I come here to study often. There's indoor and outdoor seating, both really nice depending on your mood. This is a pretty big place with a good amount of seats but it does get crowded at certain times throughout the day, it also gets really hot inside sometimes. They have good pastries and cookies; my personal favorite are their fudgies, try it if you haven't already! They offer your typical cafe food; sandwiches, bagels, soup, salads, pastries, chips, coffee, drinks, and even milkshakes. Sucks that they stop making food at a certain time, I think 7pm? Not completely sure. Their service is meh, sometimes I'll get someone friendly but other times not so much. And they now accept credit cards! read more

Great place to chill when you've got a large gap between classes. Great food, good vibes, perfect scenery and setting for people watching. My only issue is with the cleanliness and up keep. Coffee service area is never well stocked or clean. The stainless still is dirty and full spills and drips and their supplies are poorly organized. I've only been here a handful of times, but never have I received such terrible service anywhere on campus as I did today. I was served by this worker, a red headed guy, who looked as if he could possibly be a student at the university. He was flat out disrespectful and unprofessional. I was trying to order something, and he kept giving me attitude while rushing me to make up my mind when I was the only person in line. He wasn't only rude to me, but also to his fellow co-workers. The drink wasn't even made properly. It was a mocha that wasn't even mixed, and all clumpy at the bottom. He was making it in a rush because he wanted to leave, which was why he was yelling at his co-workers in front of a paying customer. I feel bad rating this place so low based on my experience with this one worker, but it was ridiculous. It's embarrassing to see a grown person whose part of an academic institution be so disrespectful to a customer, but also to his fellow peers. Definitely going to Cowell's Coffee Shop or a Perk's cart instead of here. read more
