extremely good customer service. Their manager even gave our tennis team free sides of fries

    Homemade pot roast sub.
    Daniel A.

Got the homemade pot roast sub, onion rings, and a bacon cheeseburger. Everything was exceptional. The pot roast sub will definitely be making a regular appearance in future orders, bursting with flavor and a large portion of pot roast. The onion rings were good, real onions instead of mince. The bacon cheeseburger was cooked perfectly and topped with a ton of thick bacon. Didn't get dessert but will next time since they all looked really good when I picked up my order.

Funky vibe and fun group of workers ! I like this place as we continue to search for good eats on Aquidneck. Ez to order over phone, way ez parking, and stuff was ready (ok, the cheesy garlic bread needed to be added but they were quick). This is Very good pizza close by ... (we are a Pepe's family and rarely make it to Warwick for just pizza). The Italian calzone was delish and BIG. The "sizzler" pizza tasty and delish. The cheese garlic bread was a little mushy due to the travel home but would be great after a wee bit in the toaster oven. My hot tuna grinder with hot peppers was yummy (Yo, mo' Peppers is better!) . The bacon pizza for the toddler was bacony and perfectly greasy (in a good way). We have tried almost all the Aquidneck pizza places ... some are poor, some are very good and this place is in the very good category! We are coming back for the discounted pizzas on Monday & Tuesday ... and another hot tuna grinder!! Tip? Put your food in trunk to avoid consumption on your way home ...

this is a half of a delicious chourico grinder

Cyndy's BOTTOM LINE: Order the chourico grinder with cheese, onions, and peppers you will be in grinder heaven! I love the chourico grinder at Steve's Famous Pizza. There is a distinction between a grinder and a sub I don't know what it is other than geographic location, maybe semantics but I do know that the chourico grinder is delicious! The chourico grinder comes on a perfectly hand crafted lightly toasted bun, with a spread of tasty tomato sauce, a generous amount of thinly sliced seasoned chourico Portugese sausage, onions, peppers, and melted provolone - superb!!! We decided to share a large grinder and the person helping us was so nice by slicing and making it with half with cheese and serving it on separate plates without asking. The service is always friendly and good.

Greasy overpriced pizza. So many other options near by in Portsmouth. Try one of them first.

Ordered takeout, food was great, really fresh. The only thing I dislike is the styrofoam boxes. The ocean is closer than you think.

From childhood pizza parties to grabbing lunch at PHS, North End has always been part of our community and our memories. The food is consistently excellent. I love their salads, and the pizza never disappoints. Growing up, my go-to was the chicken parm calzone (still a classic) but after having to go gluten free, I was thrilled to find that their gluten free crust is hands down the best around. I still get to enjoy my favorites, especially the buffalo chicken pizza with bacon and a side of bleu cheese. The BBQ chicken pizza is another must-have. The staff is always friendly and smiling, which makes every visit even better and delivery is prompt with food that arrives hot every single time. That kind of consistency is hard to find and so appreciated. Thank you, North End Pizza, for staying true to who you are and for being a reliable, beloved business in our small community. Portsmouth is lucky to have you. Excited to see what is next for you!

Idk what they are doing now but pizza was gross, cheese was not mozzarella ill tell you that. For over $20 for a large it should at least be good or you might as well just get dominos. I work in food and id be embarrassed to serve that. Felt sick to my stomach after eating. Should have let this place stay a memory. Delivery lady was all pissy too, i tipped almost 10 and its only on middle rd. After i went to see reviews i read the manager was filming in the bathroom too which makes me glad i got delivery i guess even though the driver was rude. Overall i would avoid this place as its overpriced junk food. Theres a lot of good food on the island and this just isnt it

Very fresh and honestly, very affordable for the aesthetic, quality, and taste. Plus the service is great. I've had their pastas, entrees, apps, pizza, and drinks and there is nothing you can go wrong with. My personal favorites is their kale salad, chianti marsala braised beef and mushroom tagliatelle. Again, the quality is great and everything is seasoned/ flavored well. Plus their pastas are homemade! They also give free bread, who doesn't love that? I cannot recommend this place enough. Perfect for a date night or night out with friends.

She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. The bread was nothing special but solid and the high quality olive oil made up for it. For my main I got the chicken milanese and it was divine. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

Service was so so, not too attentive and a little pushy to get our party out while finishing drinks even though there was plenty of other seating available by that time. Bruschetta was fresh and light, great starter to the food. The carbonara was a little underwhelming for my taste, but a decent option. I got here around 4 pm and the parking situation wasn't honestly an issue. The music isn't over powering and the overall layout makes it seem very homey. depending on where you sit you have a nice view of the kitchen where the chefs are diligently preparing the food. The starter bread is nice and dense with good flavor, it reminds me of a sour dough. The olive oil that comes standard at the table is robust and has a very nice flavor to it. I ordered the pasta bolognese, the taste and acidity of the sauce is pretty standard, a little on the acidic side but i tend to enjoy it like that. The house made pasta (or whichever kind of pasta is used) is well picked. The pasta picks up the sauce well and the mouthfeel is hard to beat; I want to attribute that to the house made aspect of it. I also got one of their seasonal cocktails called the paper plane which was refreshing. It was a little tart, definitely tastes of grape fruit with the lemon garnish also contributing to the taste. However I'm not sure how well it paired with pasta alla bolognese. To finish I got the crème brûlée. For me it's always a toss up between that and key lime pie every time so when a place offers both I usually have to flip a coin. For those who have had crème brûlée, it's overall a pretty simple dessert. The portion size was a huge plus for me. The sugar top had just a hint of burnt taste (obviously!) but you could really tell; and that is something I honestly don't mind. As for the crème it was nice, light, smooth with a hint of lemon I think. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I'm typically a solo diner but at least from what I saw they are capable of accommodating parties of about 10 so long as you call ahead first to let them know. I have to assume given the time of year it's "less packed" than normal because outdoor dining is pretty much not an option in march. This is my first time in the state of Rhode Island and subsequently the first time in Newport. I found them out through the Resy app, and decided to give it a shot. In all honestly because of the vibes, the food and the area, if you are ever in the area I would definitely try this spot out for some pretty good Italian. P.S I want to apologize for only posting the dessert, I'm just getting back into food posting. Sorry!
