This is a week after getting a call that my meat was ready, and an hour after picking it up and driving back home to put it in my freezer after having boxes in yeti 120. Should have checked out the boxes in the store but they are all taped up. On top of that, every other package of ground beef i have, out of the 80 pounds or so, has so much cartilage and gristle in it I can't finish a meal without having a pile of it sitting on the side of my plate. Every other fork bite is a chunk of garbage thats added weight of trash. A sorry excuse for taking care of someone's meat with no pride and pure laziness. I picked up this meat and told the owner several items had no seal and freezer burn on a call when I got back to the house, he told me it was impossible over the phone , and to text photos, never heard back with no remorse or care. I process and store every other animal I eat besides beef and he wants to tell me "it's impossible". Either his help is no good or he is complicit and a liar in their theft of new meat. Tells me I'm lying after spending $1k for his services calling him the day I pick up. I'd assume some theft is going on if I'm getting meat back that looks like it's been unsealed and frozen for years. Might give you your steaks back and take your ground and give you orders people never came to pick up. 0 pride, accountability, and character. No wonder the butcher shop side doesn't have a yelp page. I came back to leave a review after picking up in early December because the hamburger has gotten even worse as I've eaten through it. Their ground beef is also simply delicious. The New York strip was so tender it could be cut with a regular knife. I also have to add, as a sidebar that if you have dogs what better way to offer them a treat! Beef bones not only give them plenty of chewing (that helps whiten their teeth) but these beef bones have no preservatives or harmful additives---I like offering our four-legged children treats without potential harm! We bought their in-house recipe chorizo and a bacon-wrapped chicken breast stuffed with jalapeños and pepper Jack cheese. We haven't cooked the chicken yet but I hope it's as spicy as it sounds. The butcher is in Monday - Friday but they're open 7 days a week. If you don't live in town but want to call ahead, they'll have you're order ready when you arrive. A friend had brought me some meat snack sticks from here that were really good. I happened to be passing through so I stopped. They have a great store front with a big variety of things. Several freezers full of frozen meat, veggies, breaded stuff like pickles and mushrooms. Several things caught my eye. But I was here for jerky and snack sticks. A variety of different flavors. I got some bacon ranch, jalapeño, habanero, and yes, some ghost pepper. Damn, that ghost pepper is HOT!! I took a big bite and that might have been a mistake. Water please! But I'm a man, so you got to try it. You know, the macho thing! The habanero was just about right. They also carry several kinds of sauces and spices for cooking or grilling.
