Overcharging people for food, then claiming that the menus are outdated. Terrible experience

This was the regular shrimp plate with crawfish dirty rice

For $18, I expected a lot more. The food was fresh, and I'll definitely give them credit for that, but the flavor was just mid. The portion was disappointing too. For the price, I expected more shrimp and a better overall value. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything I'd go out of my way to order again. Freshness saved it, but the taste and portion size didn't justify the cost. And the parking is horrible!

Been passing by this place and had to give it a try! As a Cajun anything with Cajun in the title is immediately enticing! I had the chicken entree with garlic noodles (which were awesome) and the crab Rangoon were die for! Both sauces were also so delicious and I loved the portion sizes. The staff were super friendly and I loved layout of the restaurant. Will definitely be adding this place into the rotation.

I waited for over an hour 15 min for two simple steak fried rice bowls. Nothing extra! When I finally got my food it was cold! Throw the whole restaurant away! I mean do not go and eat here the food is overpriced and the portion size was kids meal. This was a joke!

Ordered the combination plate to go and it did not disappoint! The spicy yum yum sauce was really good. I wouldn't say it was "spicy", it tasted like regular yum yum sauce to me. The summer sauce was okay- I most likely would not get it again, it tasted more like Tabasco than habanero as advertised. However, not bad. The service was great! The guy taking my order was very friendly and informative of the menu and helped make suggestions. The building is a nice, clean space- it seems to be new which is always a plus. If you're into hookah they have a seating area/extra tables separate from where you order

Upon arriving we thought it was just a car wash and we read the directions "order inside". We walk in, that's where we find a few people waiting for their food. The restaurant is pretty decent, nice size. I wouldn't call it cozy, it's more quaint- eat and leave (lol) they do have some good vibes music playing so that's pretty cool. My husband and I came at the end of the night, so it was like a "to go" order so to speak. Before ordering, the gentleman at the front was consumed in whatever he was doing he didn't speak for a few minutes, which was a bit rude but we brushed it off when he started talking to us about our order. We ordered the shrimp entree it came with a yum yum sauce of your choosing, I think it's like 7 kinds which in my opinion was tasty and salty AF as well, hence the 3 stars for me. Hubby's viewpoint is a bit different, he enjoyed it as well maybe more than I did but also mentioned the salt level was a bit much. What would bring me back? The late hours of course and to try the salmon entree next time. :)

Started our Friday night here for dinner. We shared a large chicken and shrimp hibachi meal and got frozen drinks which were half off for happy hour! What we ordered *shrimp add chicken large entree *soy garlic sauce *spicy garlic butter sauce *ask for Mari (or her homegirl whose name escapes us) sorry friend! We will be back for sure!

Great food at the midtown location. Very nice staff and a cool vibe. I wish it was warmer since the space is so open and it was November.

The age takoyaki was creamy and good to share amongst a group. The toro carpaccio was amazing as well and melted in your mouth. We also ordered chicken curry udon, chicken karaage, and tantan noodles. All had really great flavors but my personal favorite was the tantan noodles which came with poached egg, sauce, and garnishes that you got to mix into the noodles. Super creamy and nutty! I really loved the vibe of the restaurant too, it's small but has a homey vibe that would be great for either a small group hangout or a date. There's a lot of bars to visit nearby too. Our server was also so sweet and brought us a baggie of Japanese candies & sweets after our dinner since it was Valentine's Day. Only complaint was parking. Very small lot and very packed! Get there a bit before your reservation to figure out parking.

Parking was a little tricky, but street parking a few blocks away ended up being the best option. I came for happy hour (4-6pm) and sat at the bar. I was surprised you could make reservations for happy hour, but I was still able to walk in and find a seat at the bar without much issue. I ordered a mix of items from the happy hour menu and was impressed by the variety and how reasonable the prices were for the quality. Portions are on the smaller side, but that's expected for a higher-end sushi spot. I especially enjoyed the different sauces and soy variations that came with each dish--it really elevated everything. I tried the tuna, hamachi, fried tempura-style fish, handrolls, and nigiri. The hand rolls were the only miss for me; the filling-to-rice ratio felt a bit off and the seaweed was on the chewier side. To finish, I had the fried milk ice cream dessert (not part of happy hour), and it was honestly one of the best restaurant desserts I've had in a long time. Overall, happy hour is a great way to try a wide range of dishes--both hot and cold--and explore more than just raw fish. I don't drink, so I can't speak to the cocktails, but the drink menu looked solid and diverse.

Staff were super friendly and my partner and I had a fun time soaking up the environment and chatting with our server. We ordered the 5 handroll set along with various crudos to share along with drinks. I had the olyshii and found it to be very refreshing and had a nice sweetness to it. Handroll wise my favorite of the set was the kani followed by the negitoro. I think overall, the handrolls were very well done with fresh fish/seafood. For crudo we got the scallop and the hamachi, I really enjoyed the scallop crudo but thought the hamachi was really overpowered by the sauce. We also ended up getting the hokkaido uni handroll. It wasn't my favorite but I think I just prefer my CA uni so it just didn't quite hit the mark for me. Overall, this was a really fun spot with good handrolls. Since it was our first time dining this way, the staff was attentive and took the time to explain everything. We also had the chance to chat with the owner, which made the experience even more memorable. The food has always been outstanding. The hand roll sets are absolutely worth it, and my favorite dish is actually the crudo. Unfortunately, the service has declined with each visit. During our second visit, we assumed the lack of attention was because the restaurant was packed and likely understaffed. However, our third visit made it clear that wasn't the issue. Throughout the meal, we were consistently overlooked. We were never offered water refills, had to repeatedly flag down staff just to order, and even had to ask the chefs to get a server's attention. Meanwhile, the tables on either side of us were regularly checked on and served promptly. We watched guests who were seated both before and after us receive much more attentive service. Eventually, we left earlier than planned because we were tired of waiting just to order more food. It's disappointing because the food is genuinely excellent, but after multiple visits with declining service, it's hard to justify coming back.

The pepper tuna tataki and hamachili were fresh and flavorful. The karaage was crispy, tender and juicy, and the agedashi tofu had that perfect texture in a savory broth. All were sooo good. The Zen Mega Dragon roll, hamachi hamachi roll, and Extra Picante roll were all fresh and excellent. The only two dishes that didn't quite wow us were the hijiki and the Rock N Roll roll. For the price being charged I expected flavors or techniques that would separate it from other strong sushi options but that never quite happened. Everything was pleasant yet ultimately unremarkable. I get the sense that Neo receives rave reviews because people want it to feel special. The exclusivity the setting and the concept do a lot of the heavy lifting. Once you strip that away the food itself does not fully justify the hype or the cost. It is enjoyable but not exceptional and not something I would rush to repeat at this price point. Neo is fine for those seeking a curated intimate dining experience but if you are focused primarily on standout sushi and value there are better options available.
