We are back. The snow melted so we could drive here. I love this food. We've having green tea with the meal. We ordered two Mantu's. No soup today. That's a disappointment. I love the soup here. Plus with this cold weather it would be extra welcome. Service is good as always. He welcomed us back. They do have some pictures on the wall to help make the place feel more comfortable. But it's the food that makes this place so special. I love Mantu. Enjoyed each bite. Missed the soup. read more

Honestly this is one of the best meals in Richmond. You know when you take your first bite and you immediately start nodding your head yes to those around you? That is this place. Don't be deterred, you will leave full happy and eager to have it again. If they offered a cooking class to learn how to make some of their delicious offerings, I would be the first in line to take the class. Incredible. The young man at the counter is also incredibly warm and friendly. The eggplant is the stand out side as well as the brown rice. Can't wait to return! read more

Wow... this is the best kebab in RVA. This restaurant just opened and I am so glad I saw a Facebook post about this restaurant. It is tucked inside of a shopping center on West Broad. The owner is so kind. She kindly greeted us when we walked in and was so so nice. She even gave us complimentary soup. She recommended that we try the deluxe kebab (lamb, chicken, and beef) to share between two people which also comes with one side (we chose chickpeas), salad, naan, and rice (the brown rice is so good). The naan tasted so fresh. And the kebab meat was so tender and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant is more casual and is very clean. I will definitely come back again!!! Not my first time trying Afghan food, so I knew what to expect--and this place delivered. The food and service were great! The lady taking my order was very friendly and recommended some excellent entrées. Portions were generous for the price; I had enough for lunch and dinner. Dunya Kabab RVA is an absolute gem. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor -- every bite is amazing. You can really tell they care about quality and authenticity. So happy our friends told us about this hidden gem! We were immediately greeted and made to feel comfortable and excited to order. The owner was so welcoming, kind, and helpful, she really made the place shine. My husband had the delicious lamb shank(cleared his plate), I had the Peshwari Chaplee Kabob, so flavorful, I loved the spices and crisp edges.. and we both shared the naan, eggplant and chickpeas. The hospitality is top tier and the environment is so inviting. Their food is the most authentic in RVA according to my Afghan friend, it's delicious and super hearty. I recommend the lamb chops (Chopan Kabob) with eggplant as the side and the Mantu or the Aushak. The portions are huge, enough to share with another person or to make two meals out of, and reasonable for the price. read more

Friendly staff. Complimentary yummy soup. Authentic afghan food and I mean it! I've had "afghan food" in many places but it's not this good. The chapli kebabs, chops, chicken and just about everything are very flavorful, fresh, and delicious. I believe they do catering also which makes me happy! I hope this place stays open and I hope they continue to upkeep their quality, quantity, and prices. I will be back. read more

Food is exceptional at Dunya Kabob RVA, truly one of kind in the Richmond area! Customer service from Brishna was out of this world as usual. She is so friendly and welcoming not just to us but to every customer that came in. The soup was SO delicious!!! It was an Afghan twist to the chicken corn soup and I couldn't have enough of it. Definitely recommend everyone to come and try their food. 10/10 read more

Eating in this restaurant is like being served the same food they'd serve you if you were a guest in their home. Prices are reasonable as well! I wish there was a 10 star rating to give. I have lived near west end for about 5 years now and have tried almost all of the restaurants offering Afghan good but this one is by far the best restaurant I have been to. Their bread was cooked to perfection which made the meal a great experience. When i got to a restaurant i look for portion size, taste, cleanliness, and staff behaviour and i can tell that everything was right on the mark.I ordered their Chapli kabob which was mouth watering with great blend of spices. The place is super clean and the staff is great. They even offered me a free appetizer to try (kadu) which was very kind of them and indeed very tasteful. Definitely going back to try other items on their menu read more

My brother flew in from Dubai and I had to take him to a good place to eat since there are so many great places to eat in the UAE. We tried Dunya Kabob and they really went way over our expectation! The food was very delicious and extremely well portioned. The meat was so tender and each order came with a huge loaf with yogurt sauce to dip. Last not least was the hospitaliy. The owners were so warm and friendly suggesting us this and that! We have become loyal customers. The setting was very nice with comfy chairs and the whole place was so clean and there was a fresh look on the whole. read more
