I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. I come here often since it's right down the street from my office. I always order ahead and pick it up. I think I've eaten in one or two times. I am a fairly picky eater, so I always order the same thing. Pad see ew. I do want to branch out, but the pad see ew is just so good. Pretty quiet every time I go to pick up my food. Whoever is working is always nice, and my order has never been wrong. I absolutely love this place.

One of the best Thai place in Oakland. Street Parking might be challenging. Great food and friendly staff

Small mom & pop shop, one of the best nam kao, packed with flavors! Portions are pretty big compared to other places. Super nice great customer service!

The place is quaint n cozy. Very cute decor and clean, clean, clean! The staff was very friendly and extremely attentive, furthermore, happy! I love being served by someone who is happy! The food was made with love!!! The Nam Tok was a new dish for me, and it was amazing! Even though I ordered it mild, it still has a distinct flavor with a touch of spicy! Loved it! The curry was smooth and plenty for the side of fragrant rice! Street parking!

Yum, soooo good. I stopped eating here for a couple of years bc it wasn't as good anymore. I gave it another chance today and it was sooooo delicious. Definitely will be ordering again. Please dont change cooks or recipes. Also the thai tea is definitely way better than other thai restaurants in Oakland.

If you're in the mood for some yummy flavorful Thai food this spot will not disappoint! The neighborhood is rough but the moment you walk in, albeit quite small, you'll feel welcome and well taken cared of. The green curry was winning with hot fresh moist white rice made it a keeper! It's my go to Thai restaurant when I'm in deep East Oakland. Can't wait to go back!

EXCELLENT FOOD!! Had it delivered and I will definitely be ordering again. Great portion sizes. The Pad Thai was delicious and enough food for my mother to have at least 2 meals. I had the Kra Prow with medium spice which was the perfect level. Amazing flavor and probably enough for 3 meals for me. We also got pot stickers which were incredible even without using the sauces! (We ate a couple of them before I took the pic.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL 3 items.

This is another staple near the Fruitvale district of Oakland, right on the busy International Blvd corridor. They just opened for dining in but just a few tables. We took ours to go. Parking is always tough but we managed to find something around the corner for a quick hop in to pickup and go. We got the string beans (with seafood) lunch special which includes rice. And the red curry with fish lunch special. Both were very good. But best were the prices -- regular entrees are only about $10 and with fish/seafood they're $12! Wow where can you still find that around the East Bay?! People are always friendly here and food is quick and good. Always a win!

We all split all the specialty cocktails and I got the Khao Pad Kang Kiew (rice with eggplant and chicken topped with a fried egg). Dishes are $20-23 ish each. We were seated at the 6 person table in the back of the restaurant near the bathroom. My favorite drinks were their take on a hard thai iced tea, the lavender mojito, a take on an espresso martini. There was also this spicy drink that had thai chilis in it that is VERY spicy lol. Pros: - the rice dish was DELICIOUS and also huge haha. Came with cucumbers to cut the peppery flavor if needed. - All the cocktails were pretty different and it was fun to try all of them. They were all beautiful to look at and tasty (lots of coconut and Thai inspiration). - Service was pretty good - Has "typical" thai dishes like pad thai and pad see ew, and also more rare ones that are hard to find - Close to many bars and other establishments, so perfect if you want to eat here as a first, second, or third location of your outing haha Cons: - The air flow in the back wasn't amazing so I did feel like it got stuffy/hot - Parking can be tough in this area so I recommend BARTing Another reason to love Oakland!

We had to re-place our orders because they were never sent to the kitchen and lost, we had to flag down servers otherwise we were sitting there confused for 20+ minutes as they hustled and bustled around us, it was just bizarre. And it was a bit embarrassing as I'd lauded this place to my guest and we proceeded to get snubbed by every server during dinner time. Alas, the pad kemao was still delicious but I don't know if I'd suffer that kind of service again for a meal. And no, nothing was comped or discounted. Ambiance-wise, the restaurant is cute and near a busy area of downtown Oakland so it's easy to get to by BART or by car. I might give them another chance if I'm ever in the area already, but I won't be going out of my way to visit again.

They were able to accommodate us, walk-in, but it was poppin'! Everyone loved their food. Standouts were papaya salad, egg rolls, nam khao, drunken noodles. Wish I could eat more lol to try more but portions were great too. Gotta come back and try more of the menu! I have nothing bad to say besides there's only one bathroom stall per gender. Highly recommend if you're in the area craving Lao/Thai food.

Sticky rice 10/10 - small portion was big enough for 2, perfect stickiness & cooked perfectly. Overall, this might be my go to Thai restaurant. Pros the portions are great & worth the price point, the food is delicious to the point I'm gonna have to try everything on the menu & I'm the type that usually sticks to the same dish when I like it. Servers are attentive for how busy they are, great alcohol options. Cons - very loud, you cannot hear each other at your own table, food comes out dish by dish & can take a span of almost 30 mins for all food to come out. Got my sticky rice like 10 mins after my curry. It's hot in there & very busy so it's def hard to get the server's attn. Sitting by the door also sucks bc they're so busy so the door is always opening & there's not much space for folks to wait so they're kinda standing by you waiting lol. Not a romantic spot per se but can be if you can block out all the noise and ppl
