I want to give this place more stars. I really do. Have had take out here twice. Its okay but the quality is just lacking. Seafood pad thai had rubbery calamari and big chunks of fake crab. Not enough real seafood like shrimp and scallops. Would think the prices would drive better dishes. The pork egg rolls were okay but a bit oily. Fried rice was pretty good but had better. Sticky Rice is an Awesome Thai restaurant with generous portions and fantastic service! My wife and I have tried nearly all of their appetizers and we haven't had one we didn't enjoy. Chicken Satay and Salt and Pepper Squid are two you must order. Pad Kee Mow is one of many fantastic entrees, but do be careful of the spice level you choose as anything above a two is extremely spicy. I went out to Texas for the Thanksgivings Holiday and decided to eat Asian cuisine preferably (Thai) on the road trip there and back ! Sticky Rice lived up to its Yelp rating of 4.5 stars!! Service was excellent, the egg rolls were abundant for 1 order , I think there was 5 total . I had the Pad Se Ew and it was outstanding ! They use the wide rice noodle , they made it perfect to my request and the heat level was hot but flavorful as I asked for the hottest level of a 5... Today me and husband was out shopping and I suddenly had a craving for Nam Khao. I had remembered seeing a Lao/Thai restaurant as I was searching up where to get Nam khao. I decided to call and ordered for pick up. I ordered Nam Khao, 2 sticky rice, sausages, jerky and papaya salad with jeow bong Nam khao was ok and was a little on salty side. Papaya was not good at all. Papaya tasted old and I was charged an extra $1.50 for 3 claws which is normally free and total cost was $9 in which I had to throw away. The jeow wasn't good and very little in a sauce container but I was also charged $2 for. Overall the only thing that was ok was the sticky rice and the sausages. It was my first time getting food from there and possibly the last. I understand it's hard times right now but the quality of their food shouldn't be bad especially if they're counting on customers to to help keep their restaurant in businesses. read more

Food is always excellent. Love how clean the food is and Sticky Rice definitely has some of the best Thai food I've ever had. BUT the service here is extremely slow during lunch or dinner hours. Expect to stand and wait for at least 15 min before they acknowledge and seat you (when there are tables available). Expect another 15-20 min before someone greets you and hands you the menus and serve you your drinks. Expect an additional 30+ min for the food to come out after you placed your order. This is a pretty common theme, for I've seen many people getting upset and leaving after waiting to be seated or leaving because no one has given them any menus. In conclusion, come here during slow times to indulge in some delicious Thai food without the approximate hour wait. read more

I haven't had a bad meal yet. Great options and you have to try their Crab Fried Rice. It's amazing. Appetizers, their lettuce wraps (w/pork option), rolls and/or Laotian Sausage. Every soup, entree, etc., is great. If you want more or less spicy, they'll ask you, "On a scale of 1-5, how spicy do you want it?" Fast, courteous service. Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwich is also a great dessert option. Great for families, kids, party of 1, 2, etc. When crowded (I've yet to wait for a table more than 5 minutes when at their busiest), there can be a lot of back ground noise, but that also makes it a fun people watching place. Check business hours prior to just showing up and remember they close (not often) for certain Laotian Holiday/Celebrations (just like other places being closed during other holidays). Follow them on Facebook, they regularly update (including some great off menu/not always available soup/meal options). If you're not familiar with their (or other regional) cuisines, Sticky Rice is the best place to visit. The staff will answer any/all questions and are very patient. But the best way to fall in love with their food/food style is watch what leaves kitchen & arrives at tables. The smell is intoxicating. Just point at a plate and ask, "What's that?" And you're hook. Love this place! I love their nam khao, crab fried rice, beef jerky, and lao style papaya salad. They have, imo the best crab fried rice in the Dallas area and they don't skimp on the crab. I'm not a fan of papaya salad but the one from here I absolutely love and get it extra spicy. Their nam khao is probably my most favorite item on their menu. It's so good! Last but not least their savory beef jerky pairs perfectly with sticky rice. Their food is always consistent and I love that you can conveniently order online then do curbside pickup. Really nice family run business. I was looking for a good Thai food place in the area since my parents live in Nevada. Sticky Rice rocked my face off. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, yellow curry, and pad se ew. The portions are huge and the prices are decent. The Yellow curry tasted really authentic and homestyle. Good and heartwarming with a nice kick. The pineapple fried rice was yummy with chunks of pineapple, raisins, and cashews for a nice crunch. The pad se ew was good but was our least favorite because the beef was a bit overcooked and tough, but still good flavor overall. Can't wait to be back to try their other offerings. read more

So went here and got some pad Thai and tasted kind of burnt. The noodles were really dark? I don't know if it's a different style of cooking pad Thai but I personally did not like it compared to the other Thai places I been to.
