We used to go to bluebird but the last 3 times the barbecue was terrible. The ribs were bone, dry and the brisket was dry as well. And then we discovered this spot, omg, it is insanely good. I am hoping they were having an off day. I was so excited to see this place while visiting the old stomping grounds. One of the guys in the truck took me around to see the smokers and seemed very passionate about the process, which is always a good sign. Ordered a half rack and some of the brisket and pulled pork. The pork was near perfect; juicy and tender with a perfect amount of smoke. The brisket had the beginning of a nice smoke ring, but fell a little short on flavor and was a bit dry as well. The biggest disappointment was the ribs. Super over-smoked and burnt, the flavor of the meat was completely lost. Could not finish them. Again...hope it was an off day. read more

As a good Texan with good taste in BBQ, when I tell you this pit has good stuff that is comparing to some of the best BBQ in Texas. When I just happened to see the smoker I thought this might be the only proper smoker in Vermont and had to try it. Ribs can be hit or miss and there are plenty of mediocre ribs out there even in Texas but this pit gets it right. And Friday brisket is excellent. Eh, it was okay bbq. Ribs were tender but no sauce included and I would have liked a rub on it. A little too plain. Pulled pork was fine.

I really enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich. The service was really fast. They have a really convenient location and outdoor seating. The cashier answered all my questions and got me extra sides of sauce too. The price was fair and the food was excellent! Stopped in on a whim Because I like to eat local. I had the brisket and it was fabulous. The smoke flavor was great, the bark was really good and it had a nice smoke ring. Had the beans as my side and I wasn't sorry about that either. The sauces were really tasty as well. I would go back for sure!!! read more

While visiting from Washington DC on a business trip, a colleague mentioned BBQ. Fortunately, the initial spot I visited was closed but I was still set on getting some BBQ. I found Still Smok'n VT and was a little apprehensive at first but to my surprise the BBQ Ribs were absolutely amazing. Earlier, I mentioned to a colleague that the best food is usually found at very nondescript locations and this spot was spot on. The BBQ mustard sauce was a tasty addition to the ribs. Had high hopes but brisket was dry & chewy. Poor quality of meat. BBQ sauce was sweet & ok... probably won't be back.

We were in the process of moving and needed something hot, tasty and quick. So we stopped at Wendy's which is one of the only fast food places that I'll even consider eating. The floor was so sticky and from the counter that. The floor was so sticky in front of the counter that my shoes stuck to the floor and the woman in front of us turned around and said "That's from a soda that was spilled last night! I stop and get my daughter a shake on my way home from work and it was that way when I stopped last night!" So, considering they couldn't be bothered to clean the lobby, all of us could only imagine how bad the kitchen was, so we all left. Still needing some good food, we made our way a couple doors down to a small BBQ food truck (trailer?), Still Smokin' VT. We explained to the young guys that were working there what had just happened at Wendy's and I have to say they went above and beyond to win us over and it was some of the best service I've had in a long time ANYWHERE and I think it was some of the best barbecue I've ever tasted in the northeast!! Their service was top-notch, the quality of the food was excellent and we each got a full meal for only about $10 each!! We both had the brisket sandwich with coleslaw & soda and it just melted in your mouth it was so tender and juicy. Between the amazing service, the absolutely delicious food and the quality of the food, I HIGHLY recommend this place!! A++ read more

Never thought I'd have BBQ this good in VT. Ribs were dinosaur sized, tender and the house-made sauce is perfect, and the brisket was so tender I had to eat it with a spoon! Owners are super nice guys too. Can't recommend Still Smokin' BBQ enough! read more

Service was great, quick and pleasant. Pulled Pork was Decent but needed a better Bun to go on. It was Blasphemy to put it on a 99 cents an 8 pack, cheap roll. More BBQ Sauce choices too, the only one they had was a C- at Best. read more
