I had a reservation at Still Waters for tonight. I cancelled the reservation yesterday (within a few hours of making it) on account of unexpected, unforeseen circumstances affecting the party that I would be sharing the room with. I was put on a lengthy hold while Hotwire contacted the hotel and eventually revealed that Still Waters was unwilling to grant any type of refund. I even offered to provide proof of the reason for my sudden, early cancellation, but they refused. Now, I am out of both my money and the reservation without recourse. I, my family, and my friends, all make frequent trips to Branson, and we will all now "avoid this unscrupulous place like the plague," and you should too. read more

I've stayed several times and always get the luxury lakefront rooms on the north shore overlooking the lake and marina. I've used the marina boat rental many tomes, and have always been happy with the service. The pools and slides are great, and the grounds are well taken care of. We booked a quick get-away at Still Waters to spend a few days in Branson with our children. It was fine for what we needed, but there are certainly many improvements that can be made. First, every man should use the resorts photographer! The pools, resort, rooms, etc. are MUCH smaller than they appear in the pictures. Secondly, the carpets, bedding, windows, window treatments can all use a DEEP cleaning/replacement. We had a standard room. The kitchen was fine for what we needed. The oven is very narrow but deep enough for a casserole dish. The only thing provided in the rooms are dishwasher powder, dishwashing liquid and toilet paper (1 ply, wood-chip variety). You can replace your bath and kitchen towels each morning if you wish. Our room came with a $100 marina credit to be used boat or waverunner rentals. NIce thought, but we were told at the marina that everything was booked for the 4 days that we were there. The marina employees are not the friendliest nor the most helpful. Pretty sure they hated their jobs. All the non-motorized watersports that are for resort guests' usage are scattered around the "beach" and first come, first served. Don't expect any help/assistance of any kind from the marina employees for them. There are lifejackets (required) at the marina for use for free, but they are moldy and ill-fitting. Our room had a small deck with a table and chairs large enough for the 5 of us to dine on which was nice. Each night we observed several raccoons prowling around the property as soon as the sun went down. They seemed to really enjoy the 3rd floor of building J. For some reason, all the Trash Room doors are left open, which is basically a racdoon buffet. I'm sure many people throwing away trash in there are getting the frights of their lives! The pizza at Pizza World on property is very good as are the sandwiches. Melt and the Taco truck were both open at random hours and not every day. The times are not posted anywhere. We went twice and found the truck not opened, so we gave up. There is a "lifeguard" at the Oasis pool, but I wouldn't trust them to actually perform any saves. We were highly entertained just watching the lifeguards. At any given time there could be 0 lifeguards or 3, but mostly just one sitting in the chair...........not performing her duties. Sometimes there was a llifeguard at the top of the slide regulating usage, but mostly there wasn't. Many times the lifeguard left her stand to go to the bathroom, grab a bag of chips to eat in the stand, or to flirt with another employee. Not a lot of supervision of any kind going on there. The only time I saw any sanitizing happening was once at the Flume pool. An employee came in, sprayed a few lounge chairs (but not any tables, chairs, or anything else) and left. That was one time in 4 days. It was good to get away, but we will probably not be back. Overall the prices was VERY high for what you get. The prices were as much as another famouse Lodge in Branson, and their rooms are MUCH nicer and their resort has much better amenities and a cleaner environment. read more

We stayed at Stillwaters Resort Dec 15 and 16 to be able to attend Sight & Sound Theater to see The Miracle of Christmas and to see Silver Dollar City in it's Christmas glory. (Both of which were fantastic!) I would like to commend all the staff members we encountered at Stillwaters Resort. They were all very friendly and helpful, Bryce @ checkin, Justin @ check out, Lori at the Market (made my coffee ) Dustin @ Concierge, Quinton in maintenance, and our shuttle driver (but forgot his name) the property is peaceful and very clean. Our studio room was comfortable, and featured just as reported...a microwave, small refrigerator and a small coffee maker. The bathroom however was great, a large walk in shower. I have made a reservation to return the end of April with 5 friends to celebrate my birthday. We look forward to our visit! Hoping the indoor water park will be complete and operational! read more

It's just a ok place to stay. For the price that we paid, we expected more. 1st - Room - not enough silverware for 6 of us. TV in bedroom sucked. The bathroom wasn't very clean. Room seemed very wet. Carpet left our socks dirty. Sink would not drain very good. Pictures on the brochure was very deceiving with our room. 2nd. On the brochure it said cliff jumping. You must rent a boat to do this. 3rd. You can walk to everything in the park. That was awesome. 4th. Pools was nice. 5th. Boat rental was easy and staff was great! 6th. Food trucks and the pizza place was really good. And last, I would not stay here again at the price we paid. I would at half the price and that's if the room was better. Just drove for 10 hours wanted to take a shower and have morning coffee the next day..but no! We had a coffee maker with no coffee or filters. Couldn't take a shower until we went out to get shampoo and conditioner. Place is run down and we were really disappointed with the "free" activities. Nope not ever going back there again. read more

Stayed here for a couple of days. Simple decor in the rooms. Ours was clean inside and with covid we had to go get our own fresh towels and sheets, just like anywhere else these days. Walls are thin between the units. Really enjoyed the pool and the aquatics group at the boat was awesome. Boat and jet ski rentals are reasonable. There are two food trucks within walking distance along with a pizza place across the street from them. read more

Do not stay here. The service is terrible. I would never stay again. They don't care about their guests!!! You have to wear a wrist band the whole time and when I checked in I asked if I had to keep them on all the time. I was told, at anytime I could come to the office and get new ones, because my family was staying 7 days. Nothing at all was said about having to bring the old ones back and we threw them away. Unsatisfactory. Unsanitary. Overpriced. Poor customer service. Our entry way was flooded, our pillows were STILL dirty with make up smudges and were soaked. Upon further investigation, I found soiled sheets, complete with little black curly hairs. I had the room service lady come in, she kept telling me it was a chemical they put on the sheets. Once I pulled the sheet (with hairs on it), there was a giant piss stained mattress pad and cover. THEY. DONT.CHANGE. SHEETS. I called the friend my desk and the night shift manger told me I could leave if I didn't like it. Do not stay here. It's gross. We opened the other bag of blankets and guess what? More dirty blankets. This time it was coffee or some brown liquid. I can't make this up! Boat and amenities: The "69" dollar jet ski rental has a 15 dollar surcharge regardless of the fuel use. A $150 boat ride (2 hours) ends up being $237 with only $37 in fuel. How you ask? Random extra charges. They had one pole in the entire place for "free" kids fishing. read more

Still waters resort exceeded our expectations. Based on previous reviews I was very skeptical. However, once I arrived all of my concerns went away. We stayed in building J overlooking the lake. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. There was some noise from our upstairs neighbor but nothing that a white noise machine didn't fix. The shuttle service to Silver Dollar City arrived on time and was super convenient! I would most definitely stay here again! read more

stayed in September 2022 had a two room suite and it was absolutely filthy. We arrived at 9:30 at night. All beds had dirty sheets that had hair and grass particles in them had outlines of all the mattress padding below where they had been laid in sheets, were not fresh or folded like a clean bed. We had massive webs of dead flies in the window, dead spiders, all along the baseboards. carpet was wet and sticky in areas. our socks were instantly black from walking on carpet. something black around vents. Half empty soda bottle between bed and nightstand. Mouse poop. Sticking to extra blanket in the closet. Dead bugs in bathtub along with hair and soap, scum. Hair dryer in the children's room was a safety hazard with a burned and damaged electrical plug-in. countertop and kitchen had hardened on food still on it. The crib they left for our baby had brown stuff, dripping down it and loose screws coming out of it. all this with a crying baby and two older kids that were so excited to start their vacation. No one could go to bed until around two. Luckily we had a small washer and dryer but husband had to go out and buy cleaning products and laundry soap that total $30. They took the first night stay off of our trip but also had a note in the room that you would be charged $250 if you left the room messy. All they technically did was give us their cleaning fee they otherwise charge if left dirty.Manager was not on site. I offered for somebody to come to the room to view everything that was going on. I have also since contacted the hotel, spoke to a Kalin, to see if they are willing to do anything about our visit. she was very unfriendly and unwilling to help at all. would suggest staying somewhere else. read more

My uncle and his family do a yearly trip. This year I was fortunate to attend with my boy friend. We traveled from Miami,Fl and drove from Kansas City. It's about a 3hr drive from Kansas to Branson.our group was about 20 people with a variety of ages from infant to grandparents. Our group reserved the lake house and 4 hotel/condos. We were spread out throughout the resort, the walks from rooms to hotel hot spots (pool, food trucks and resort market) are all fairly close, nothing more then a 5-10min walk. The lake house was a great meet up spot for snacks, rest in between water sports and great for group games. We also reserved the pavilion for a family bbq, we played folly ball and enjoyed the outdoor sports, it was hot so consider fans and big spray. Overall the trip was fun. The resort is well kept and fun for families. The local stores aren't far and although we stayed for 4 days we had so much fun on the resort we didn't need to go to attractions, although the younger kids in the group went to silver roller city and had a blast. I found my self at the oaks is pool mainly. read more

This is a late post. Stayed here in early April. Was greeted by Thomas with a big smile and very professional. We were handed over to Jackie, who showed us the sites on the map. Very helpful lady as well. We got the 1 bedroom with whirlpool bath and fireplace. Had a nice view of the lake from J building. First impression of the room was very nice. Newly remodeled room, felt like home. All amenities were in walking distance. Nice arcade room on site with multiple pools. Visited the market had an espresso at the coffe shop. Very nice gentlemen there that greeted me. We had a few mishaps during our 3 day stay, but nothing worth mentioning. There was some construction going on during the time, so didnt get to sleep in. That's why I gave it 4 stars. I will be staying here again real soon. read more

Turns out we could have gotten a $150 credit had we gone to the timeshare presentation making the room for 2 nights only $50 but we didn't find it necessary to waste anyone's time going to something we weren't interested in just to save a lot of money, it was worth it and my boyfriend didn't want to take the chance of me being talked into anything! It's my hope that I can stop at least one family from staying at this overpriced resort. 1. The resort is "tired" and needs a huge upgrade on everything from pools to room furniture to building maintenance. 2. There are 3 pools but 2 are tiny. The hot tub at the serenity pool is not even warm let alone "hot". Also, very dirty. I was in it. I saw multiple families complain about this. 3. Most of the games in the game room do not work. Only found this out after spending money on the tokens. 4. Here's the worst- my husband woke up covered in huge spider bites. My daughter found a dead cockroach in her pull out sofa sleeper. Gross! They changed rooms for us, gave us an "upgrade", but as of now have not offered any monetary compensation (I will update if they do). To say it was a hassle to move our family of 5 on day 2 of our 4 day stay (think food, everyone has a suitcase, wet swim suits, etc) is an understatement. 5. We booked tickets to see "Showboat" through this resort. They charged us for 5, only gave us 4 tickets. We didn't find this out until we arrived at the boat and the boat was sold out for the night. The staff at showboat was amazing and got us on the boat (we were the very last to board), but we were unable to sit with our kids (high school/college age). So much for our "family" night. I boarded that night in tears because of the stress and disappointment of it all. As I was talking to the resort that night, they said if we got on, they would give us 1/2 our money back and refund all our money if we didn't get on. Well, we got on, but now they say they will not refund any money because we got on, despite the fact that we were stressed out and didn't get to sit together. 6. I gave it 2 stars instead of just one, as we did have a good pool day at their bigger pool- plenty of seating. All in all, we spent way too much money for a tired and dragging resort with poor customer service. read more

It's fine. It would be better if it was all the things it pretended to be, but it's perfectly fine. What it is: a strip of land that more or less bisects a peninsula, with a decent general store, a marina with rental boats in good repair, and some swimming pools that are only open after spring break. Rooms are in good repair, with brand-new televisions. Game room could use an upgrade, but works OK for small children. Daily maid service would be nice, but apparently is not part of the deal. The map of the property... I have included a picture... Is extraordinarily misleading. The check-in office is on a separate parcel of land, and the various parts the resort are not entirely contiguous. Also there are properties not connected with the resort on the tip of the peninsula. Also, they might try to sell you a timeshare, which should be a red flag. read more

This is actually sad. We are still currently at Still Waters and we would have stayed another night but we will be leaving in the Am. I am very disappointed with our experience. We arrived Friday, check in was easy, people seemed nice, place seemed clean, etc for the $396 total (2 night 2 bed 2 bath condo, includes check in fee and such). So fast forward to about 30 minutes after our arrival (not even fully unpacked yet) our "concierge" (Dennis) comes to our room to welcome us. He tells me a bit about the property and family orientation and how the grandfather died a few weeks ago etc etc... Then goes on to say that they love feedback and suggestions and for a bit of our time he will knock off a $100 for an additional night for us to go to a presentation. Please keep in mind this is my first trip as an adult. I liked the idea of helping a company grow by ideas and such and figured what the heck for $100 I'll do it.... Well, turned out we were there from 9 am to 12 and it was a sales pitch. The guys were great and their plan wasn't technically bad but I am not buying. We leave after my kids sat waiting quietly for hours to do "fun" things. After our nice day we get back and I call the service desk to pay for the difference for the extra night. I was informed they couldn't find anything. I gave her our "concierge" name and she said she'll call him. Guess what....two minutes later, he doesn't "recall" this....WTF well luckily I have the paperwork copy. So I call him, he says apparently the sales guys stated that I didn't show my ID and credit card when we showed so they couldn't complete the presentation. WTF the first thing they asked for was that! They have my credit card info and I was informed by Dennis that if we didn't attend they would charge $100 on it. I have checked and the charge isn't there....yet...and it better not be or then I may change my attitude completely. I would like to throw a fit and act like the bitch I deserve to be right now but I won't put my kids through that. Instead, they have lost business and hopefully this steers others away. It's sad really, BC we really liked the resort and planned on coming back. We were going to stay until Monday even without the $100 off. Instead we are going to go to a different resort for the additional night.... Loved our room and staying in the area was awesome. The view of the lake was great. The jetted tub was amazing. The concierge man here could have been a little more friendly. As soon as he heard we weren't interested in his 30min visit to the rain forest he was extremely short with us. Seems according to him that we got here during off season and he couldn't be bothered with answers to what is opened for dining etc. I'm sure that's not part of his job but being that he works in the area he would know better than us. Also whenever we did call for a pizza at 7pm the person who answered said they were closed even though all the paperwork and website said they are open until 8pm. This is my family's 12th consecutive summer trip, having booked 3-4 condos per year every single year -- over $100,000 in revenue for Still Waters resort. We have prepaid thousands of dollars, 12 months in advance, each year for a guarantee on the condo location/proximity, not to mention boat rentals and other ancillary revenue with each and every trip. Last year, when paying in advance, we were informed our condos would not be available for the week requested. It is important for our family to be together as we do meals, gather, etc., as a group, therefore given the lack of availability of condos together, we were persuaded to book for the following week (this week...). We arrived today, PLANNING to put a large deposit down for next year, only to learn the three condos we were promised, are all in separate buildings. Further, one of the buildings does not have elevators and my sister-in-law, who recently broke her shoulder and arm, and is also scheduled for knee replacement (and unable to climb stairs unassisted), is in this building as it is was the only choice we were given for her family who needed the 3 bedroom condo. We are beyond disappointed in the service received and lack of empathy or accommodations offered. We were essentially told 'sorry, we reserve the right to change your rooms', despite the fact that the contract does not state this. Sadly, we will not be returning to Still Waters Resort and my parents are literally taking notes tonight on where we will spend our money next year and going forward. Management here really does not care. It's also laughable there has been a building (a future 'enchanted rainforest') in their central area under construction for at LEAST 5 years. At this point, there are likely enough wild animals inhabiting the place, they could open it up. My advice, as an educated consumer who could spend even more than my parents do on this trip.... do not waste your time here and/or give these people your business. Period. read more

Family trip we had a variety of condos. One two story, lake view with sunroom, one two bedroom with small living room kitchen combo and hotel style with two queens small kitchen. The vanity in motel style also out in room. You have to put a deposit on half the total cost! All the rooms are overpriced and outdated!! Bedspreads loved like from 1990s! No maid service. You must exchange towels before 2 or ot of luck. The swimming pools look MUCH larger on website. All very small and for children! There are some new resorts that you want to consider. We loved Big Cedar too if you're going to pay a lot. read more

Our favorite place to stay in Branson. (Kind or wondering if I should give it such good reviews to keep this spot to ourselves ) Beautiful resort. The amenities are second to none for the price you pay. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and updated, have everything you need it. Don't fall for the cheap ticket scam. They offer cheap tickets but required to do a timeshare tour. Once they've got your money they are no help at all to cancel or willing to work with you. Also lied to us about the timeshare center being closed due to no AC and told us to leave all our sensitive documents outside. They were at the door at their opening time then told me they were actually closed. Gave us the run around. Will not be staying again just because of that experience. Customer service at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Everyone answered our questions thoroughly and cheerfully. The grounds offered plenty of shade, space for our kids to wander and play, and good food. The pools were small and quite crowded compared to what the website pictures portrayed, but we enjoyed them, nonetheless. I would have loved to have an actual beach or lawn area to enjoy the lake, but in reality, it's just an extended parking lot/marina. We really enjoyed the aqua cycles and kayaks. Our room was a disappointment. If we could've found other lodgings, we would have left after the first night. Bedspreads were very stained. When I picked up the stack of towels sitting on the small bathroom vanity, I saw a hair tie on the counter, making me doubt whether it had been wiped clean since the last tenants. There was a lot of mildew on the bathroom ceiling/wall and the shower curtain smelled. The room felt dingy and one of the lights was out. The signs on the sink instructed me to leave no dirty dishes, but there wasn't dish soap to wash them (I used hot water), and several of the dishes I grabbed from the cupboard had to be washed first because of food or grease left on them. Even the most basic of hotel rooms has shampoo/conditioner bottles, but there were only miniature soap bars here. The balcony was covered in spider webs (I realize this is part of nature but those seemed to be there for quite some time). The worst part about our room was the refrigerator. It was so loud that it was difficult to sleep, startling us and our children awake every few minutes. This was maddening and had a significant impact on our trip. Their website is amazing and presents the resort in a beautiful light. I think reality leaves a little more to be desired. read more

We stayed for 7 nights. The overall idea of this place is great, but it is really spread out more than it looks on the website. We did love the pools and lake, food trucks, and store on property, but.... For $512 a night our condo was terrible. The couch sank in so much that when you sat on it, you sunk in sideways. The beds were so uncomfortable. The mattresses were just horrible. There was dust caked up on the vented doors (closet, etc.). The jacuzzi tub was disgusting. There was mold growing all around the tub. I could barely take a shower, and there was no way I would have ever taken a bath. There was no hair dryer or iron. The kitchen was not stocked well at all. The one skillet they provided was so messed up we couldn't cook anything in it and had to buy a skillet for the week. We had 4 forks (6 people stayed and it was able to accommodate 8). The carpet looks like it's from the 70's, and the fake plants on the back porch were dirty and torn up. I was very dissatisfied, especially because of how much it cost for the week. We could have stayed at a lot of nicer places for that price. They did comp me one night, however that was bothersome too because I could not get them to call me back after submitting the report. They called once and I missed the call, but we tried contacting them multiple times after they called with no call back. I had to go to the office to get them to respond. The uncleanliness was wrong! On my wife's suggestion we tried Still Waters again over Memorial Day weekend. Stayed in unit 231 this time which is a recently refurbished 1br, lake view condo, with jacuzzi tub. This room (in stark contrast to the other) was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Upon entry there was a dining room and kitchen, the living room had a fold out couch and a flat screen TV. Bedroom had another flat screen, and bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Pillow top mattress had premium bedding. Since it was warmer this trip we had the opportunity to try out the new north pool which was just fantastic in every way. Outdoor beds, hammocks under a willow tree, and a zero depth entry pool. Outstanding!! We also tried cane pole fishing, but nobody could help us. $3.50 in bait and not even a nibble. I may just be the worst fisherman in history! What an amazing contrast to our last visit. We will definitely visit again - with the caveat that we will definitely request a recently renovated room. Glad we gave them another shot. read more

This hotel seems beautiful when you arrive and may even have a beautiful layout of the rooms. However, the walls are PAPER thin. We had to turn our tv up to shut out the noise at one point and both morning woken up super early by construction or something happening above us. We also experienced weird water issues. I took a shower and when I was done my hair smelled ROTTEN! When I let the front desk know Justin just kept saying "that's a unique situation..." when I went to tell him more upon checkout his (Justin) response was "all I am going to do for you is apologize." Over promise, under deliver. Know that there are some things our family liked about Still Waters Resort, but there were a lot of things we did not like about the resort. For some background, we did a family reunion with 3 families (plus my parents) for a total of 16 folks in three different two bedroom condos. We stayed a total of 5 nights in late June 2018. Pros: - Good location. Very close to Silver Dollar City and other activities. - Large units. We had six folks in our 2-bedroom unit and we had enough room for four adults and two children. - Maintenance staff. Helpful and fixed a couple of things on our unit during our stay. Cons: - Marketing materials overstate many things about the property. If you look at the pools online they look HUGE. However when you are there they are much smaller than the wide-angle lens show online. Other amenities such at the "nature trail" is actually a 50-yard path through some land that is not yet developed. Hardly a nature path. These are a couple of examples but almost all of the marketing amenities were over stated. - Timeshare pitches. We were "invited" on no less than 6 occasions to attend a presentation on "the future of the resort". In exchange for our two hours of time, we would receive a voucher for $200 to be used at the marina. Really? This still works? We found it annoying to be propositions on multiple occasions to attend one of these. We were there to be on vacation not to attend a high pressure timeshare sales pitch. - Lots of broken things/stuff that needed maintenance. Just a couple of examples here: on the basketball court there were 10 basketballs. ALL except one were so flat that they did not bounce. Almost all of the kayaks on the beach had broken seats. In fact there was a sign that read "The kayaks are closed until the after noon while maintenance is performed." This sign was there the whole 5 days we were at the resort. In the game room, you put you money into the air hockey table, the air came on but no puck was in the game (several of the other games were broken as well). - The wristband. They have a terrible system of you are issued a wristband when you first arrive at the resort and you are supposed to wear the wrist band the whole time you are a guest. This would be fine if you are there for a day, but in a 5 day stay, everyone in our party had their wristband fall off. If you did not bring back the broken band to the office for a replacement, you would have to purchase a new wristband. Try telling that to a 7-year old in the swimming pool. They need a new system! - Inappropriate music by the DJ. On our last night at the resort we decided to eat at the Shady Taco on the property. While we were there they had a DJ (this was at around 6-7pm). Realize that in our group we had 8 kids aged 6-15. Additionally there were two other families enjoying dinner. The DJ started playing songs such as "Hair of the Dog" (which features the chorus "Don't mess with a son of a b**tch" multiple time), "Hot in Heere" (so take of all your clothes) by Nelly and "I am so high". After a couple of such songs, we asked the DJ to change his song selection. He complied but when on to loudly complain to the other employees at the Shady Taco in front of us. Really? I can understanding playing such songs late at night in a club but not at a family resort. Basically the theme of this review is that the management of the resort needs improvement. All of these things above can be easily fixed but it goes back to the management of the property. Recommendation: With all of the different options of places to stay in Branson, find somewhere else until management of the resort is upgraded. read more

Giving this 4 Stars because we got an amazing deal on Groupon. For the price we paid it easily lived up to expectation. The rooms are a little outdated but perfect for family vacations. We got a suite with 2 rooms, it was super spacious and was equipped with everything we needed including laundry! There were a nice variety of pools for the littles and lots of places for my oldest some to fish off shore or dock. read more

Bed was horrible. I rented this condo for my husband and I to get some rest after the loss of both his parents within a month. We brought our young grandson. We were told they had an indoor water park and 3 pools for it. We got there and asked the rude clerk where we could find the indoor water park and he informed us it was still under construction. Carpets were not in good shape at all, bed again was awful, hardly any hot water. Luke warm at best. We were told at check in we'd get a text when the room was ready and 6 hours later we heard nothing so called and they said yep it's ready. read more

The old adage of you get what you pay for applies to our visit. For this area they offered a very competitive price for our weekend in Branson. Room was clean, but we did find a bug in the bathroom when we first got there. Not a major deal since bedding appeared clean as did the floor. Mattress was average at best, definitely could benefit from a replacement. Some things that could have elevated my rating would be supplying a box of Kleenex, an iron and ironing board, and it's great there's a coffee maker, but there weren't any coffee packs with it. There is also mold growing where the shower insert plastic and drywall meet, something to address for sure. Checkin process went fairly smoothly given there were many of us checking in at the same time. Water amenities were sufficient. We didn't try any of the on site restaurants. Will we come back to Still Waters? More than likely we will not; it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't wow us either. read more

We stayed in a 2 bedroom luxury condo with a view of the lake. It was building J. The master bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. The second bedroom had a full bathroom with bathtub. There was another pull down bed in the living room area. This building was recently remodeled and was beautiful. The carpet was so thick and soft. We had a nice kitchen, washing machine and dryer and beautiful view. There was also a tv in every room on the wall. In the front room it was over the fireplace. We did have an issue with our fire alarm going off when we ran the fireplace and a strong gas odor so we only tried using it once. I'm sure if I had mentioned it they would have fixed it. As some have stated the walls are thin and you hear people in rooms above and next to you but we did not have anyone to obnoxious by us so we're not bothered by it. I have never really stayed anywhere I can think of though that you do not hear people above and around you. This room was so clean. Yes this is a timeshare property so they will mention that if you are willing to do a tour they will hook you up with some tickets. We politely said no thank you and it was never mentioned again. We used the pool, water slide, hot tub, kayaks, and aqua cycles. They were all so fun for the kids and included in the price of your room. The pool was so pretty and they also had hammocks, umbrella tables, lounge chairs And beds to relax on by the pool. We rented a boat they were so friendly and accommodating. We loved cruising and tubing on the lake. If you do decide to rent a boat there is a coupon for $50 off you can ask for when you check in. We will defintely be back at still water. We came once before for our honeymoon 14 years ago and loved it then too. The only other part of the room that could have been better was the bedding but I just used the brown blankets in the closet. read more

Room had a beautiful view of the lake. Room left a lot to be desired. Rug was stained and dirty. Couldn't cook in the room as there was no exhaust vent and cooking set the smoke alarms off. No ice maker or ice trays in refrigerator. Check in time at 5 is extremely inconvenient. Taco truck has never been open when we have been there even though the hours posted said it should be. I have been staying there for the last three years and it was a very nice place to stay 3 years ago, but it seems to be getting run down. Won't be back. read more

I'm giving a four star review due to their new time share crap. I'll give the bad first. Stillwater, please drop this time share business. We got suckered into doing a time share presentation, what moron would do that? Seriously, we stay here already for cheaper than what the yearly maintenance fees would be. Arrgghhhggg!!! So for the good. We have stayed here for about five times now, the kids love it. Good amenities, pools, mini golf, lake activities, close to silverdollar city. The pizza place is yummy. The view of the lake is nice. The room itself is a little outdated, but more than sufficient, everything you would need. Good memories made here over the years. As long as they stay budget friendly and don't con too many people into this time share bologna, we will continue to vacation here. read more

I rate Still Water Resort zero, they refuse return my deposit for our family vacation. My family came down with Covid, I called immediately to let the resort know that we wouldn't be there. I asked if I could receive my deposit back and the gentleman said no, we don't give refunds. I asked if we could move our stay to another date and the gentleman said your out of luck we don't do refunds or move dates. I ask for high manager number and was told that it would do no good and wasn't give the number. I was told we was out of the fourteen days window so we just lost our money. We relocated to Dallas about two years ago from central illinois. Decided instead of driving 13 hours home for my dads 70th birthday, we would meet in Branson, which is almost exactly halfway between. I started looking around for cabins/condos that would comfortably fit 3 generations, with a place to relax, away from the craziness that is branson, but close enough to be able to run in to eat/shop/etc. I found this resort on groupon, and decided to take a leap of faith. After booking, I started reading some reviews, and was a little nervous, but all my fears were unfounded. Some of the reviews I read said the front office staff was rude. I found the exact opposite. They were warm and welcoming, helped us find restaurants, etc. I had read about high pressure sales for the timeshare. Was it mentioned? Yes. Twice, and after I said we were not interested, it didn't come up again, and there was no coldness/rudeness on that. Do they clean every day like a hotel? No. But I almost think that works to their advantage because our condo was really really clean. So rather than having staff that gives everything a daily once over, it felt like they took the time to actually clean between renters. My biggest complaint was with the hours of the towel exchange. Since they are not cleaning daily, if you want new towels, there are locations for the exchange. They close in the early afternoon, so if someone were out at silver dollar city all day, came home and showered before dinner, you wouldn't have clean towels for a shower in the morning. The units come with washers and dryers, so we ended up buying laundry detergent at Walmart and doing a couple loads at night after we got in for the night...no big deal. It was quiet, the Condo we were in was large and clean, perfect for grandma and grandpa, mom and dad and a grand child! We will be back the next time we plan to meet in Branson! read more

Made a reservation 3 months ago, for a summer vacation. Paid our deposit, received confirmation, and 3 months later I receive a call saying they made an error and need double the amount we paid in deposit. I spoke with a manager and he said he would cancel my reservation because they made an error and need to collect a 50% deposit instead of the original 25% deposit that we paid, and received a "paid" confirmation for. I then spoke with another manager who stated it is a common sales practice of theirs to call the people who've made a reservation and ask for more money. To start, Mike, Josh, Brittney, and the young lady at the front desk from Rockford, Illinois were the only decent employees of Still Water Resort. The reason I only give this resort one star, is because of the way I was treated upon my departure, The way I was treated when I called to inform the front desk of the pest that were in our room, And the fact that I had to get the police involved to resolve an issue. The managers that were on Duty - Justin, Dustin & the Marina Manager were Disrespectful, condescending with prevalent racial undertones. Our first night there, we found roaches in the room. We are from Chicago and I have not seen a roach since the 1990s, my children were born in 2004 & 2012 and had to Google what a roach was because they've NEVER saw a roach. When I spoke with Justin, he told me That woodroaches were common In that area and that they were going to be there. Justin told me that I can either pack up and leave, exterminate or basically deal with the situation. The only reason I stayed is because we drove eight hours to come to Branson, Missouri and my children were excited to go on a road trip. After a long sleepless weekend - due to my anxiety of bugs crawling everywhere, comes to the very end of the trip for departure. We stayed in the L building. There was another African-American family there who rented a six seater golf cart, the same as us to get around the premises. When we turn the golf cart in today Dustin asked us about a mishap that was reported to him regarding a six seater golf cart.My husband told Justin we had no mishap with the golf cart - we were barely on the premises 5/8/21 because we went to the amusement park next-door and when we came back, we went straight to the marina to rent Wave runners. Dustin tells us that it was reported that some children rolled over a six seater golf cart and that it was us. We were issued golf cart number 1 - per the rental agreement and the other family had golf cart 23. This morning, We had a late check out and discovered that family that were next-door to us left at 10 AM and switched golf carts because the ignitions interchangeable. We didn't realize it until I got a call about an hour and a half out from Dustin threatening me to charge my card for the damages of the golf cart and they had us on footage. After about 20 minutes of trying to explain to Dustin that we did Not Have cart, #23 and that he rented us cart #1 per the rental agreement, he continued to yell at me and Try to belittle me to the point where we drove back to Branson, Missouri To rectify the situation. We had to call the Indian point chief of police to come on site to assist us in the matter because Justin, Dustin & the Marina Manager Tried to gang up on my husband for defending me. They had to call the general manager on site to try to review footage that they do not have. My trip was thrown off a total of five hours of trying to get home today do to Justin Justin and the marina manager not using common sense. Why would we want to turn in a damaged cart instead of turning in the perfectly good one that was rented to us. Long story short, we will never ever go back to Branson, Missouri or Still Waters Resort. read more

I cannot believe this is voted #1 resort. Upon arriving our check in went fine and we had a sleeper sofa for our daughter in the room. We could not get the wifi to ever connect. We tried to make up the bed and found no bedding. I called and politely asked for some bedding and about the wifi. I was told the bedding was going to be brought down (super nice) and to try a different password. That one didn't work either so the lady said they were having wifi issues in that unit and they would be sending a maintenance man. The house keeper brought our bedding quickly but brought sheets when we asked for a blanket which is no big deal but when I simply tried to tell him we needed the blanket he put his pointer finger up at me and said "I don't need your attitude". My husband and I just looked at each other like what on earth??? I called the front desk to let her know about the extremely rude the house keeper who she claimed he never had complaints even though the house keeper told my husband it was his first day. Fast forward to the next afternoon after having zero wifi and dropped calls around 4:00 pm and I stop in the lobby to ask if the wifi was working for our room. Heather the manager came out and said they were upgrading me for free to a better room that has wifi. Again super nice!! I didn't expect that at all and thanked her. We packed up our stuff and switched over the new room just to see that the room cards from the previous guests were on the counter and the room was completely untouched by maid service. Beds were messy, towels in tubs, food on the floor and not vacuumed. Soap torn open and sitting on the counter. Again I'm thinking just another over sight and called and politely asked if while we were at the pool we could get the bed's linen changed. The man was polite and said yes whatever we needed. At 7:58 pm my husband went into the lobby just to get new pool wrist bands. In their lobby is a dark tinted window the employees stand behind in the office before coming to the front desk. The employees back there (INCLUDING THE MANAGER) was rudely talking about guests and how "problem" clients are ignored and made to wait (which is true) and that purposely act like they are doing things on the keyboard just to make them madder and they will go in the back and hide out for long periods. And put them IN ROOMS THAT ARE DIRTY! And laughing about it not knowing my husband is hearing everything they are saying. I went in at 8:35 to confront manager who lied and denied even though I asked her to bring up the camera footage. She told me I could leave if I didn't like the resort. I wish I could leave zero stars. The most unprofessional staff I've ever encountered and incredibly rude. read more

Still Waters resort was recommended by our fishing guide and boy he steered us in the right direction!!! The resort and room exceeded any expectations we had!! Our 2 bedroom, luxurios lake-front condo was every bit of that.....luxurios!!! I came with two 17 year boys who love to fish and the pools were not open yet, but boy this looks like a kid paradise come pool season with soooo much to do!!!! The coffee shop/pizza place at Bayside Market was not only convenient but both the food & coffee were amazing with exceptional, friendly customer service. TOP NOTCH resort-we will tell our friends and family all about Still Waters and definitely put it on the list to return!!! read more
