Their spot on the beach is gorgeous, and because the restaurant is elevated I could argue that their view is even better than Sunset Grille and anything at the Hilton or the JW. Enter through the main "lobby" for the true wow factor, and walk to the left of the pools down towards the beach to find the restaurant. I have never been a food reviewer of any sorts simply because I don't care enough and have never experienced food polarizing enough to warrant a response. That sure changed today! Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, subbed the chips on the side for broccoli. Somehow, unbeknownst to me, the broccoli ended up inside the wrap, not quite sure how that conclusion was drawn. My assistant also ordered a brisket grilled cheese, was surprise to find out that the grilled cheese looked an awful lot like mac and cheese. Oh wait, that's because it was! They messed that up too!! This is excellent spot for lunch or dinner with a view of the beach! Service was smooth and quick, the staff are friendly and helpful. I ordered a southwest burger with a veggie patty and it was SO delicious! It pairs well with a Light Blue Moon :) It seems that parking is exclusively for Marriott residence hotel folks, so I would recommend walking or biking over. Or was a little hard to find the entrance, but you have to walk up the hotel property and then get to the back. Stilts is the on-location restaurant for the Crystal Shores resort at Marco Island. For what it is, it's fine. The food is ok, I think ordering well is the key. For example, my grouper tacos & the bleu cheese burger were pretty good, but the pulled pork nachos were extremely lacking. For the prices, I didn't think it was worth it. You definitely are paying for the convenience. The drinks, however, were all really good! The restaurant offers local beers on draft, and the frozen mojitos were deemed "the drink of the summer". The view is also great if you can get a table close to the beach - especially if you go around sunset. Wow. How could Stilts have gotten any worse since my last visit? I ordered the tuna tacos. What I got was a highly fried exterior with guacamole and raw spicy tuna inside. Who at Marriott headquarters dreamed up this efficient and repulsive cost cutting measure? The frying of the exterior had clearly been performed much earlier and this was unnerving given that I ordered at close to opening time. It was a mushy/highly crunchy flavorless wedge. Summary: As far as convenience for dining at the resort goes, this and Pizza Cucina are the best bets. Staff are hard working and do their best to accommodate the large number of diners that can come during dinner hours. Food is good, but not amazing. Prices are a bit steep (but not unreasonable for the location), and drinks are good. A group of eight of us went to Stilts on a Saturday evening for dinner. We put our name in expecting about an hour delay, but only had to wait about 30 minutes before our table was available. Soon we were seated and perusing the menus given by our server. The place was pretty packed, and it looked like there were only two servers for the whole upstairs space, plus one bartender, but our server did a nice job of attending to us as best that she could. Our drink order was delivered relatively quickly, but our food order took much longer. The food was delivered warm, but quality and flavor was a little lacking. The menu is kind of limited, so that further compounds the problem. I ended up getting the grilled shrimp tacos and my wife got the crab cakes. Again, both were ok, but not the best we've ever had. In a pinch, Stilts is a serviceable place to eat at Crystal Shores. read more

Wonderful service at the beachside restaurant. Highly recommend for anyone at resort or just coming up off the water. The food for lunch and dinner are delicious with a nice variety of options. Only down side is that if the weather is bad, the atmosphere suffers. Not strong at all. Probably premixed bottle of Sangria. For dinner I had fried shrimp which comes with 15 shrimp for $18 with a side Caesar salad in lieu of 2 side options. The shrimp were just ok. Nothing special. I kinda wish I ordered the crab legs. The kids meal was free and I ordered popcorn shrimp with smiley fries with a lemonade. As of 01/08/19 they are doing some sort of rehab of the upper deck of Stilts so no real sunset view and no live music except on the weekends. We will skip spending time here this year. read more
