Came here for a birthday dinner cruise for a friend who also has a place on Marco Island. It's a fun and unique concept, going out on a boat for dinner. Food was good, like good quality wedding banquet food. They had a well stocked bar. The cruise was the best part though, fun and exciting. Going by various homes and condos on the water. this restaurant is located around all the hotels in the plaza with a movie theater and a couple of the restaurants but it is great for families and good for happy hour. Bartenders are friendly. Staff is friendly foods pretty good fried mozzarella sticks are really good drinks the mugs or ice cold. It's great to take children and adults. Happy hour is great two for one every day. Parking lot is huge. You can all get in there the menu is not that expensive like I said it's great for kids and adults. It's one of the great nice restaurants across the street from the Marriott Crystal shore Marriott, and a couple of other restaurants down the block. My husband and I did the sunset cruise on the Marco Island Princess and had a wonderful time! We opted not to do the dinner and just enjoyed some drinks from the friendly bartenders and the views. We got some beautiful photos from the bow of the boat with the gorgeous sunset as a backdrop! We also saw a bunch of dolphin couples as well which was super fun! What a great experience! Family of 8 took the sunset dinner cruise to celebrate a birthday. The food was really good (if you like well done Prime Rib--just ask, they have it) and the service outstanding. Going in the Summer was terrific as it wasn't very crowded and we had very personalized attention. The captain was personable and courteous. We had a vegetarian with us and they prepared a separate pasta dish for her--and we had a person not eating salad becasue it was served with dressing and they set a plain one aside for her in their preparations so she could have one. We chose the main downstairs cabin since there were people with mobility issues but it was great because we could walk around upstairs and outside. When we visited Marco Island, the first dinner we had here was on a boat! We were on Admiral's Sunset Dinner Cruise. The table was pre-reserved for each patron, so we didn't have to get there early to fight over a seat. This boat has two levels, and we were on the first floor. I heard that the first floor has a better view, as you get to see the view from windows on both sides. On the second floor, they have a bar in the middle, and therefore, you only can see out of the windows on your side. We started off the evening with a fancy-looking Mud Slide and Pina Colada. It was refreshing on a muggy evening...speaking of which, it was unfortunately very cloudy. One funny thing the Captain said that they always guarantee sunset, but whether you get to see it or not, that is up to the mother nature... So true! They provided pretty good amount of food, we had Prime Rib au jus, Stuffed White Fish, Vegetable d'jour, and Whipped Potatoes. I didn't have high expectation for the food, but they were actually pretty good. We were supposed to dine while looking at the spectacular sunset on the Gulf of Mexico, but clouds got in our way... But, we still enjoyed the two-hour dinner cruise, we got to see canals, houses on the water, restaurants and some wildlife. Towards the end, staffs brought out Key Lime Pie, and it was really tasty! Even though I was full, I made sure to finish the pie. It was delicious! So, even though we didn't get to see the sunset on this sunset cruise, we still enjoyed it very much! I was very happy with the Dinner Cruise. The staff is super friendly. The galley guys are great. I had prime rib and chicken. Both were delicious and the portions were huge. Service could have been faster. Seems to be a little understaffed. Out the door I paid roughly $100 per person which got me two bottles of wine, salad, entree, and desert. Plus you're on a yacht watching the sunset. Recommended. read more

This was a fantastic experience! It is definitely expensive, at about $250 for four people, but we all had a great time and a great dinner. A friend let us know that the upper outdoor deck was a free for all so we went there as soon as we boarded. We almost got knocked out of the way by a regular, who we'll call Martha. Martha was trying to beat us up there. I guess she knew the secret too. Even though Martha got there first, there were still 4 more tables and plenty of bar style seating outside. We rode the yacht all around Marco Island and saw some beautiful homes and scenery. The best part however were the dolphins and the sunset!! It was spectacular and we went on a perfectly clear night. I was also a huge fan of the music they were playing on the ship! Anything from Michael Jackson to Neil Young as we sailed into the sunset. For dinner, there was prime rib, teriyaki chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and caeser salad. Everything was delicious. The drinks were also reasonably priced and not weak at all! For dessert they served us key lime pie that was fantastic. From the time we got on to the time we got off the boat it was about 3 hours, 2 hours of which were spent cruising. This is our third time experiencing the dinner cruise. It was our daughter's 16th birthday so we had called ahead of time to reserve the front of the boat, cake and balloons. Everything was great and she had a very nice time. The two hour cruise is beautiful and staff is very nice. There are several opportunities to take photos. The cost only includes buffet dinner. Drinks are additional. In the past we were able to do the regular Sunset Cruise Buffet. Now, only the Admiral's Dinner is available. Food is good and very filling. Dessert and coffee/tea is included. Meal lacked taste. If your expecting high end, lower your expectations for he food. Expect folding tables with table linen. Best place to sit is upper deck. We had a really good time on the Marco Island Princess. We booked a dinner cruise at the last minute, and the crew was easily able to accommodate vegetarian dietary requirements--which was awesome! We were concerned that would be a challenge, and they assured us it was no big deal. Once on board, the great customer service continued. The staff are eager to serve and make you comfortable, the food is delicious (regardless of meat or veg main dish) and the Key Lime pie for dessert was superb. For the cruise itself, the boat ride is smooth and, weather willing, you're treated to a beautiful sunset with a drink in hand. All in all, a great way to end a day in Marco Island. read more

The dinner cruise had good food. I couldn't give it 5 stars because there wasn't a lot to see on the cruise and there was minimal narration. I thought we would get more info telling us some history or at least pointing out where we were. I had to pull out my phone's GPS to figure out our route and location. Several people on the boat paid less for just a sightseeing trip (no food). I would only do this trip with the buffet dinner. There are probably better options for a strictly sight seeing sunset trip. The night we went we did get a reasonably good sunset. The boat is comfortable and the service and food were both quite good. I recommend you book ahead of time so they reserve a table for you which is nice. You arrive to a table with your name tag on it so you feel a bit special. The dinner cruise leaves at 6:45 and they start boarding at 6:00. The best reason to arrive early is the parking which can be tight on busy nights. If you can get a taxi or ride share to drop you off (and you've reserved a spot), you can avoid any issues finding parking which allows you the luxury of arriving as late as 6:30. This was worth doing at least once while visiting Marco Island. I am not sure I would do it again, however. Once was fun. read more

This is our third Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Marco Island Princess. In years past, our first two experiences were delightful, which is why this was one of the first things we booked when we came back down to Marco Island this year. The food is good- we had prime rib, teriyaki chicken, caesar salad, mashed potatoes and vegetables. The scenery is amazing- it's really fun to see some of the gorgeous houses in the higher rent areas. The sunset is beautiful, and dolphins might grace your cruise. We were so excited to cruise again this year! BE WARNED. The table next to us contained 8 of the most loud, rude and boorish people I've ever witnessed. The conversation level on the Princess is always a medium level, and we have no problem with that. I'm not stuffy, I'm not old, I do drink alcohol, and I don't have a problem with anyone having a good time. These people, however, were the rudest, most inconsiderate people I've seen in public. They didn't laugh- they cackled. They didn't converse- they YELLED at each other. We asked the staff to intervene, and one of the attendant gentleman did go speak to them, but we aren't sure what was said. We were then called "fuddy duddies" very loudly by that rude table and its occupants. They continued to laugh, cackle and talk louder than anyone else on the entire bottom level of the ship. We had to yell at each other to be heard above them. Other tables were noticing it as well. The only time they were as quiet as everyone else was when they were eating, thankfully. If you are unlucky enough to have this type of experience, there will be little the staff will be willing to do for you. We were told, "Well, they're here, and we're about to take off, so what do you want me to do?" My family feels that for $65 per person and being captive for 2 hours, this response is unacceptable. This table ruined most of the experience that we paid close to $400 for, and we will definitely think twice before laying down that kind of money again. If you are comfortable with the luck of the draw, and happen to get reasonably courteous guests around you, then this experience can be simply wonderful. If not, it REALLY sucks. read more

The entire cruise was great and I highly recommend if your on Marco Island that you take in the dinner cruise. PS there is a small bowl for tips for crew at the bar. They need to put it or another one at the door leaving as they share and a lot of passengers didn't know. We will go on this cruise again. We did our dinner cruise last night and it was the best part of our trip!! The staff was great, food was great and the views of Marco were incredible!! Brent was one of our bartenders and he made us some in redouble drinks and had such a great personality. It's clear to see he really enjoys his job! We will go back every time we visit Marco. Wife and I did the Valentines Day luncheon cruise. Thought it was too pricey for what we got. We had a great time as usual. We love watching the pelicans meandering around the dock before boarding. Everyone is quite friendly...had really nice folks sharing our table on a beautiful day. The shrimp scampi was just OK....tasty enough but five measly shrimp! I know it was lunch but they had no discounts honored due to this special cruise. Parking wasn't easy..had to park across the street in one of the few remaining spots. Wife had to ask for a promised/advertised rose. highly recommend their sunset cruise...but this luncheon special wasn't our favorite. read more

This is definitely an older crowd. The food is nothing incredible (a little bit old county buffet meets frozen entree) - however! This was still a really fun time for us and we're in our 30's!! If your on vacation and want to get out into the water a little bit, this is a great idea! Nice little cruise on which we say a dolphin, nice sunset, and huge yachts. The boat is very nice, with a 2 bars (one on each level). Your can sit inside if it is too warm and not miss a thing since it's almost all windows. You can also sit outside on the front or back of the boat if you want to enjoy the fresh air. We had the prime rib dinner (served buffet style). The prime rib was simple, but very good. The also served a crusted tilapia, which was okay. The salad and dinner rolls were not very good (think older ice burg lettuce and a store bought white bun). The key lime pie for dessert was very good! They also let you go up for seconds if you were still hungry after everyone had gone through the line, which is probably good if you've got teen agers or other big eaters in the group :) We also had a glass of red wine that seemed a little off... May have been from a bottle that had been open for a day or two... I'd shy away from single glass pours in the future. read more

We always go for the sunset dinner cruise. They have a nice dinner, yummy drinks and the staff is very attentive and friendly. This year we went on a Wednesday and there was also live music. What a nice evening. The boat was as clean and neat as possible. After boarding most passengers purchase beverages. The bar tender can make anything plus he has a few Island drinks of his own. After leaving the dock we moved to the aft deck to enjoy the live entertainment and dance a little. The ride out to see the sunset was very smooth. Now about the food. Your Caesar salad is served to your table with a warm roll and butter. The entree and veggies are served at a carving station. They were serving hand carved prime rib, Greek baked chicken, mashers, mixed veggies and all the expected sauces. In order to prevent a mob scene at the carving station your server will tell when it is time to go. All and all we thought this was a very evening at a reasonable price.
