Not normally one to leave reviews, however this place stood out so much that I hope my review gets the managers attention. I have never in my life experienced such disrespectful and rude customer service. And I'm not just an angry customer that was having a bad day, I stood back waiting for my drinks and observed the awful attitude of one of the employees to three other people, before I got to interact with the employee myself. From snapping at people that were asking for a cup sleeve or trying to clarify which order number was called, this employee was very rude in all interactions of just answering simple questions. IF she decided to answer at all, she blatantly ignored one of the customers (an elderly lady) that stood up at the pickup counter for over 5 minutes, mind you this was literally right in front of the employee I'm referring to, trying to tell her that she didn't receive all her pastries. The employee continued to call out order numbers and set other people drinks on the counter right in front of the elderly lady, and everytime the customer would try to ask her again and again for her pastries the employee would go back to coffees or anything else aside from addressing this ladies needs. When I finally got my coffees, which I ordered 3 different ones, none of which were labeled. I asked this employee "do you guys label your drinks or can you tell me which ones are which?" she snapped back at me "yes we do". I then replied with, "mine are not labeled". She ignored me. Since I'd already seen her snap "no" at someone else that had asked for the cup sleeve, I asked if I could at least get a drink carrier. She did reply this time, very rudely with "we don't have any". I had walked here from our rental house so it would have been very helpful to have a drink carrier considering the coffees were so HOT I could not even walk more than about 10 steps at time without having to set them down on the sidewalk because my hands were burning. Before I had walked away from the pickup counter with my blistering hot coffees, the elderly lady was STILL standing there waiting to be addressed, and I had looked at her and said "they're not very friendly here are they?"... and she looked back at me and said "no they certainly are not!" Talk about an overall horrible experience. I will absolutely not be going back to this place, which is very unfortunate because it's the main coffee/bakery right here off the beach. I personally enjoyed the coffee and would have loved to try many more of the pastries. My husband and I had spent $60 here in just two days for our family and would have continued to go here for the remainder of the week if it weren't for this last encounter. Absolutely do NOT recommend. This employee needs a serious attitude check as this will drive customers away. read more

Open for takeout only (COVID-19 times). Current business hours are 7am to 2pm. My friends and I had a few lattes ($4.50 for 16 oz.), overnight oats ($5.00), chicken pesto sandwich ($11.00) , and cream cheese bagel ($4.00). The chicken pesto sandwich's was so delicious: the focaccia bread was extremely soft and the ingredients together tasted amazingly. We ended up ordering another two! The overnights oats were a little too sweet to my taste and had just a couple berries on top, I wish they had some more of those. The bagel was just toasted and you put the cream cheese by yourself. The bagel was pretty soft but I felt like it wasn't worth the $4.00. The latte was very milky but not bitter. The staff at the cashier was friendly. No seating area nearby or even trashcans. read more

Not worth the try... we got there as they were supposed to open, two girls inside shut the lights off and literally hid from us. We could see them, we even knocked, tried waving as we were looking for a good cup of coffee and wanted to try out this cute looking local spot. A local woman even tried to grab a cup of coffee, they hid from her as well and she expressed to us how it's like this all the time and we're better off, leaving. So we did. The coffee is good and the environment is lovely. But honestly, I'm here to tell you to get the breakfast sandwich. I've eaten at a lot of places and had a lot of high, middle and low end breakfast sandwiches. This one is simply the best. Perfect scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked bacon with a bit of pepper, perfectly melted cheese, and the best breakfast sandwich bun I've ever eaten (my guess is a house made ciabatta) I get this every time I come to Pacific City. DO NOT COME HERE! Just got out of this coffee shop and had the worst experience. The white male with long hair who was making my coffee had the worst attitude. They didn't have cold brew and failed to mention it to me but told every customer after me that they were out. So without my knowledge they switched out my drink to an americano and tried to pass it off as cold brew. They proceeded to make 5 other customers drink before they worked on mine. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for my drink which wasn't even what I had ordered. read more

I returned the following day and while I really appreciated the location, I just thought the food was not very special. I tried the beach bun and it was so dry and bland. It needed butter or jam or some sort of sweetness or salt. I'm happy that it was more savory than sweet, it just tasted like it was lacking for what it could be. White Chocolate Rose Cold Brew! Where else can you find that. There was a prominant flavor of lychee, surprisingly. But it worked really well with the cold brew and a bit of sweetness from the white chocolate. They got a bunch of other options as well, traditional and not so. I'd comeby again next time! read more

Wifi doesn't work and they don't seem to care. This place seems to be spoiled by a steady stream of tourist dollars and they've forgotten how to serve the customer. There are flies in there bakery all over the food & waiting area... I waited for 15 mins because it was busy in a fly infested area. The temperature was 50 so no flies should be around. On top of that I paid 7.50 for my coffee and the barista there made me a mocha that was only filled 75% she then proceeded to tell me because of the whip cream I couldn't have a full mocha... she could've put a lot more in without any overflow. Cute coffee shop and good protocols in place for COVID 19. Our scones, a sweet lemon-blueberry and a savory herb and cheese, were fresh and tasty. There were hearty offerings, too: pulled pork sandwiches, quiche. There were also buns and brioches. We kept it simple, which was a good move. The brewed coffee was disappointing, and in Covid times, we didn't have access to control the cream and sugar, so we drank what the counter person determined for us. Coffee is such a personal thing to us--we are deep into our caffeine addiction. I would have preferred creamer and sugar packets to go. Still, I was glad to have coffee. The service was thoughtful and friendly. I do appreciate the brave people who continue to serve the public in these frightening times. They were gracious, friendly and competent in following their face masks, social distancing and number of people in that small space. I'd like to come back and sit with my coffee in the clean, interesting space--it has all the makings of a great NW coffee shop: interesting chairs, private tables away from the counter, cute things to buy. We'll be back, but I'll order French pressed coffee next time, if it's offered. The brewed medium roast is thin and can't compete with a French press's powerful alchemy. read more

One of the only good coffee shops in the area, good quality coffee, tiny little shop located right across the beach, we walked from our hotel, the coffee was yummy 8/10 the baristas were a little on edge but it was 7 in the morning so that may have been a contributing factor. read more

Cute, cute, cute. I'm a big fan of the beach at Pacific City, and it's so nice to have a "proper" coffee shop at my fingertips now when I visit. What does "proper" mean? Well, to me it means that it meets my bougie Portland fancy-pants coffee expectations. And even better, it does it with a cute and chill beachy vibe, perfect for the location. I'm a fan for sure. The boyfriend and I visited on New Years Day, and thankfully they were open and at full swing. We both got almond milk lattes. They got a solid B from me, which from my experience of small town coffee shops means it's one of the best on the coast. We also grabbed a couple of salads that were tasty, as well as a vegan apple pie dessert that was OUTSTANDING. The seating area isn't huge and I bet it's just chaos during tourist season. But in the middle of winter it was relatively quiet. They even have an open-ish bakery so you can watch them create some of the treats that end up in the display case. A key amenity for anybody visiting Pacific City. read more

Inside it has kind of a Starbucks feel to it- but don't be fooled. These treats are house made and on my visit I could see the actual house baker baking more treats! There are all kinds of morning staples like coffee cake, cinnamon bun (delicious with buttery cream cheesy realness) and I tried a blueberry scone which had handfuls of fresh berries all over inside and a satisfying crunch as well. I was delighted to see they had Mexican mocha which I often order if I see it. Definitely stop by- they open at six and if there's a line, it's well worth the wait. read more

This coffee shop is top notch! Such a treat to have such quality coffee and baked goods right across from the beach in Pacific City. We have camped at Cape Kiwanda Campground for the last 2 summers and walking down to Stimulus Coffee for breakfast is such a highlight! The location is amazing and has such a great view...it is a lovely place to sit with a book or take your coffee to go and stroll over to the beach. They serve a very good macchiato and the cappuccinos are great! The cinnamon buns are amazing, as are the Beach Buns! The Citrus Blueberry Scone is very good as well! The citrus infused glaze is bright and bursting with flavour! All baking is made in house with top quality ingredients! Expect a line up first thing in the morning because it is the best coffee shop in town...but know that the coffee and food are well worth the wait! Get there early to ensure that they are not sold out of their delicious baked goods! We're camping right near here & needed breakfast our first morning. The market, like most things, was closed and so we stopped in here. It was insanely busy..probably lots of people in a similar situation. They have a large menu of drinks, which I think is great, but at $8 for a smoothie..we kept to the simplest choices. (I'm bougie but I guess not $8 mango smoothie bougie). Their breakfast items like pastries and such offer a pretty decent selection, but again just really pricey. For 1 kids hot cocoa, a small hot tea (literally water & a tea bag) and 4 pastry items it was $40. Nothing was very good unfortunately. I know things are more expensive right now, and I visit many coffee shops and local small shops..but this just felt less like paying for high quality and more like paying for convenient location. read more

Creative seasonal drinks, some of the best gluten free cupcakes to be found, and a lovely view. Please don't bypass the tips if paying by credit card even though they may indicate that is ok. The baristas tell people to "push the green button" if they want to bypass the tip just because their credit card reader is confusing for customers and too challenging or time consuming for them to explain it seems! I can't imagine the tips they are missing out on just because of a confusing outdated payment system they don't control. It's hard enough to keep good people working here in Pacific City, especially at minimum wage. Please don't bypass the tip! read more

The cold brew was solid, not overly acidic or bland. The pastries however were awful. It seemed like someone went hard with the cinnamon in everything. We had a double chocolate cookie (the barista gave us a day old in addition to the fresh one which was a nice gesture) and the marionberry almond muffin. The cookie tasted spiced, which is really unappetizing in what should be a rich chocolate cookie. The fresh cookie was also oddly crunchy in a way that made it seem old. The muffin started out okay, with a good almond and berry flavor, but again here comes the cinnamon. It was ultimately just a dry cinnamon muffin with some berries. It was not worth it. And not to forget, I also had the veggie sausage quiche. The quiche tasted good, but the crust was under baked and soggy. Please, blind bake the crust! I was bummed about this because it's rare that a little shop in a small town would have an actual pastry chef and this excited me. Get the coffee, leave the goods. read more

Giving any stars to this place goes to the bakers making the treats up front. Came to Pacific City for an Anniversary weekend and staying at the resort across the street. Was excited to get some coffee and baked items for breakfast before the beach. Walked in, there was one family deciding on what to eat in line ahead of us. My husband was looking up reviewing the menu and was quickly snapped at by the girl at the register that the line starts on the other side of the counter. Ordered food and looked for a place to sit and found all tables messy (completely understand morning rush on the weekend). My husband goes and asks for a rag. We don't mind just wiping it real quick. He was told, "It's all the way over there, someone will come and take care of it for you." They call our drinks. We take them back to the dirty table and continue to wait. They call our food and I get up to get the food and again ask for a rag. I am snapped at that she's coming right now. I sit back down. Wait longer. A girl comes out of a door and wipes the family size table near us, back to us and the other couple siting at a dirty table and leaves out the same door. I have to chase her down. She comes back in and wipes the table and snaps under breath that they've been busy. How hard would it be to have handed us a rag in the first place and had happy customers?? The bakery should consider finding better front. Unbelievably bad--and it was 3 of the 6 girls working in front. read more

I always wrestle with how to read a review that has both a positive and a negative element. The espresso itself was actually pretty good not too bitter and fairly tasty. I am not sure why people are excited about the cinnamon Bliss - it is way overpriced kind of dry and not even that great of a cinnamon roll. I definitely would not order again. The mocha was pretty good I didn't check the actual price so I don't know how that checks out but it was well made. read more

We stopped here after trying to go to a different coffee shop that was drive thru only. We were glad we came here since it is just a short walk from being able to see Cape Kiwanda. I order maybe took 15-20 mins and they had one window for orders and one window for pick-up; seemed pretty efficient. I ordered a mocha and my husband and I ordered a hazelnut bun and a blueberry scone. The blueberry scone was delicious (I only took a small bite of the hazelnut bun so can't come be much on it). My mocha aaa okay. It seemed to have more of a chocolate flavor, a little on the sweet side and not enough coffee flavored. We found a street parking spot next to this place and walked over to the beach to check out the cape. read more
